While the resort was pretty decent for the price, the location is a bit odd. Surrounding areas remind me of the older part of the Vegas strip. But other than that, rooms weren't too bad for a family of 3. Our room was ready before check in time, which was great since we were tired from traveling.
Cons: Beds only had thin sheets and a thin blanket. Some nights you were cold due to the a/c being on, and didn't have much to cover you. The walls are thin and you can hear everything above and below you (flushing of toilets, doors closing).
Pros: The resort has a Starbucks and Universal Studios store on the main floor. We never got a chance to visit the restaurant in the hotel, but heard the pizza was good (they even deliver to your room). They also provide transportation to and from the parks which is super helpful when you are tired from being in the heat and walking all day. Their pool is very spacious and located in the central area between the 2 towers, so it gets a lot of sun no matter where you sit.
Overall, if you are on a budget, definitely book your stay here.

Overall, our week was nice. The room faced an abandoned hotel and graffiti filled wall, so there was that. The pool was good. Maybe a little shade would have made it better. The food was okay. Good choices are just medium quality. When you're competing with universal food, you might need to step it up a bit. Overall, it was a nice stay.

The hotels service was courteous and professional. Even after we checked out, we left behind an item. We used the "text" function to see if they could direct us to how we may recover the item we thought we left in our room. Before we even boarded our plane, the item was located, identified and a shipping number was generated. Housekeeping had turned the item into security. Hotel was accommodating even after we checked out! I would definitely go back to this hotel. They were one of the few that offered a two bedroom option and the accommodations were perfect for a family of four. Great stay. Thank you Universal!

Customer service was great; Front Desk staff were able to answer all my questions and assisted me when I had a problem with my tickets with ease. They are very knowledgeable and efficient. My room number was on the higher end, and the walk can be very far from the lobby, especially after walking a lot at the parks all day. The room itself was neat and clean, but the glass shower door's roller had popped out of the tracks and the door would fall off quite often if we tried to open or close the shower door. Otherwise, a pretty positive experience staying here!

The staff is the greatest part of the resort, everyone was friendly and knowledgeable and added to the experience. The pool was very clean and again staffed appropriately. The food and bar and Starbucks all by the lobby were great and had little wait. The food options were pretty great considering how big the hotel is and never felt like we were waiting very long for anything. The rooms however, are subpar. The beds are fine. They were cleaned very well but the bathrooms could definitely use updating and there was also very poor water pressure. It's still worth the price for sure and I almost forgot the elevator s are very fast and there were no issues waiting in long lines or anything.
