Cardiff airport is the only international airport in Wales and is full to the brim of shops, cafes and restaurants for you to enjoy before embarking on your holiday. Take in a spot of duty free shopping or sip espresso in one of the many cafes before departure.
The Executive Lounge at Cardiff airport has a spectacular view across the vale and allows visitors to unwind in comfort, helping themselves to a buffet selection of hot and cold drinks and food.
Driving by car: Drivers using satellite navigation can use the postcode CF62 3BD for directions. The airport is 13 miles from Junction 33 on the M4 and is clearly signposted upon exit.
Arriving by coach: Cardiff Airport is easily accessible from Cardiff city centre thanks to the Express Bus Service. These coaches take you directly to the airport, with tickets available from just £5.
Travelling by train: Trains travel from Cardiff Central and Bridgend every hour during the week and Saturday and every two hours on Sundays. These trains travel to Rhoose, where a short shuttle bus will take you to Cardiff airport. Tickets on the shuttle bus are available for £1 and the drive takes just 10 minutes.
There is a drop off area which is free to use for those who are seeing off friends and family. Located right outside the main airport terminal, this is free for up to 10 minutes. This is only to be used for drop off, however, and not pick up. An alternative drop off and pick up area can be found in the Long Stay car park, with the first 20 minutes free. This is only a short walk from the terminal, but a free shuttle bus is also provided. Stays longer than 20 minutes are charged £2.50 for the first hour. Short and long stay car parking is also available.
