What to do on Goa Holidays?

A popular pastime for people on Goa holidays is bartering in the vibrant markets of Goa, which can prove lively and very entertaining. A wonderful aroma and a bustling atmosphere surrounds the large selection of products on offer in this weekly hustle and bustle. One of the local hand crafted mementos will remind you of the lifetime experience Goa provides. Alternatively, the ChristianArt Museum in Old Goa portrays the exquisite work of local craftsmen. Folk paintings from the colonial era, intricately carved rosewood and teak furnishings plus terracotta and brass are all on display here and provide a real insight in to days gone by.

During your Goa holiday, you have to witness one of the many important folk dances held via carnivals, or various styles of public gatherings. Music runs in the blood of Goan people and never leaves them. It also pleasantly reflects the cultural image of Goa over the years. Classed as folk art, you will not be disappointed watching the customary performances.

Bird watching on Goa holidays offers particularly rewarding sights as an abundance of rare and exotic species can be found in the early morning river mist or in one of the nearby sanctuaries. Such an enchanting array of birdlife is just one of the many sights here in Goa.

One of the best ways to absorb the enchanting atmosphere of Goa is to hop aboard one of the daily evening cruises along the River Mandovi. Beautiful sunsets reflecting across the still waters provides a truly picturesque and romantic scene. Whilst aboard you can sample one of the many fruit and alcoholic punches known to Goa culture and settle down to a night of entertainment via live music.
