I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing the staff and hotel was. It's a reasonably priced hotel close to all the action. The breakfast buffet is what we used to get before COVID and it's fully stocked! It was so nice to start the day having an amazing breakfast with great a waitress, plenty of hot fresh offerings and a smile. Hunter was very helpful in giving me some ideas on where to work with my laptop for a few day time meetings I had. Front desk staff were all amazing. Rooms are nice, clean and mine was very quiet which I appreciated.

Never stayed here before, but a great base for a theme park vacation highlights:
1. Included Disney buses from hotel are amazing and less busy than the Disney free ones, QR code made it easy to book. Also, we get early park entry.
2. 15 min walks to Disney Springs or to 711/restaurants etc, along shady tree-lined pavement.
3. Rooms are large, clean and well maintained. As a family of 5 we could fit comfortably. Fridge and sink were very helpful.
4. Staff were great, eager to help and solved all issues.
5. Free cookies.
6. Pool was great, sadly the hot tub was out of service, only real issue of our stay.
7. We used Uber to get to Universal, that was easy (20 mins) as the hotel is close to the highway.
8. Breakfast was good, lots of options and you can make your own Mickey Waffles too.
So aside from the hot tub and some overzealous time share salespeople prowling the lobby, very happy.

Typically we have a great experience staying at Hilton Hotels. Unfortunately we were down in Disney for a wedding. We got in checked into the room, threw our stuff in there and went to go meet friends at Disney springs for dinner.
When we returned, we noticed a number of tings about our room that were not up to the standards we expected. The Queen bed definitely was small, felt more like a twin. That could have been perception. But what was no question is there was nowhere to hang my suit or wife's dress. The closet had hangars, just not bar for them to hang on. When we were going to bed, the one nightstand was covered in dust, like it hadn't been cleaned for a while. All of this was forgivable, but the nail in the coffin was when we woke up at 4am to get ready for the 5:30 shuttle to pick us up for a 7am wedding ceremony at Epcot. And all we had in the shower was cold water. Not the way you want to wake up on vacation, or when you're trying to get ready for a formal event. We asked to be moved to a different Hilton hotel (there are 3 others within 10 minutes away), since we did book in the Hilton app under my rewards member account. They wouldn't move us to another hotel, or refund any money. They did offer to give us a different room, but we decided to eat the cost of the other 2 days, and go stay at a Disney resort like we should have just done in the first place.

Rooms have been refreshed, looked very nice. The facilities were spotless. Comfortable bed, nice sized bathroom. I really liked that the on site laundry offered coinless/card payment. Modern and clean. The only reason I could not give five stars for the room, I had no hot water for a three day stay. Invigorating, but not what I wanted after a long day waking around Disney. The friendly front desk attendant, explained that they had been working on the issue earlier in the week but it only made it worse. No on site manager on weekends. Please address this problem, General Manager.

The staff and hospitality were excellent. Everyone was kind and welcoming throughout my stay.
However, I was very disappointed with the shuttle service. The hotel does not offer transportation to and from Disney Springs, and the park shuttles only ran once an hour and required advance reservations instead of simply boarding when ready.
What made this more frustrating is that my friends staying directly across the street at the Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Disney Springs Area, 2000 Hotel Plaza Blvd, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830, had a much better setup. Their shuttles ran every 30 minutes, included service to and from Disney Springs, required no reservations, and even offered special late-night service for the Disney Very Merry Christmas event, running until 1 a.m.
Our hotel, the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando – Disney Springs Area, 2305 Hotel Plaza Blvd, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830, did not provide any extended or special late-night shuttle hours for that event, so we had to order an Uber back after it ended.
The walking paths back to the hotel are very poorly lit at night, and the outdoor sprinklers turned on unexpectedly while I was walking back, soaking me in the cold. I took photos of this for reference and documentation to show how dark the pathways are and how the sprinklers activate without warning. By comparison, the Drury Plaza Hotel across the street has much better lighting along its pedestrian walkways and feels noticeably safer and more pedestrian-friendly late at night, while the DoubleTree paths are extremely dark and not well maintained for foot traffic.
On Monday, November 10, 2025, the hotel’s water service was shut off for routine maintenance between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. This was very inconvenient, as I had to go across the street and use my friend’s bathroom at the Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Disney Springs Area.
The bathroom lighting was also very dim.
Housekeeping never replaced the body wash despite multiple requests through the Hilton app, so I had to go to the front desk myself late at night and wait about 15 minutes while the only staff member on duty was helping another group.
Overall, the staff and hospitality were wonderful, but the shuttle system, outdoor lighting, housekeeping responsiveness, and water maintenance planning need major improvement.
