Stayed at Sol Lanzarote for a week.
The good parts included a modern room, cleaned every day, 3 pools which were not too busy apart from the heated pool which is full of kids most of the day.
I thought the food was decent and you do get a good selection everyday including meats, cheese, bread, fruits and vegetables, and desserts.
The beer and wine is on tap so it's very easy to get yourself a drink whenever you feel like it.
The hotel has very good beach access which is literally only a 30 second walk away from one of the pools.
The only negatives I would say are the music is very loud and lively all day from about 10:00 am to about 22:30 pm at night. There are also a lot of children there who are quite loud as well.
Overall it's a good hotel but I personally think it's more suited for a family with children than a quiet holiday getaway for a couple.

We booked last minute for a 4 night break. This place didnt disappoint. The people were amazing. The food in the small cafe/restaurant was fab. The rooms were spotless. Only downside was no air conditioning. Would.come here in cooler times but not peak season. The pool area was so well maintained by lovely men. Immaculate.

The location was perfect. The hotel was clean and tidy and comfortable. Facilities excellent. Pool area was well furnished a large enough. Service was very good. Staff friendly and professional with good humour. The entertainment team were just amazing ( ran on Duracell batteries. They had so much energy).

Really close to the airport, if you love planes like us you will love spending a week watching them land all day and night, looking at your flight radar app to see where they are coming from. It was a nice easy and quick transfer.
First impression wasn’t much, but once inside the reception and foyer was lovely, really polite receptionist. Our room wasn’t ready as we arrived relatively early, but we were given our bands and some where to store our luggage so we could use the pool and have some food.
The pool area is lovely, 3 pools, 2 large (cold as it’s November) and one smaller in the middle which was much warmer. Lots of activities going on like a slip n slide, spinning class, spinning class in the water, aqua aerobics, volleyball/ water polo.
The downside to the pool is the amount of sunbed hoggers there are. People up early doors to grab the best sunbeds (ones in front of dining room) as they get the best sun. Then for the rest of the day you see no one actually using them. The sun beds are also pushed very close together and it feels quite congested.
The pool also doesn’t open until 10am which I found very odd, you eat breakfast then have to wait ages for a dip.
There are two pool bars, one has hot snacks available around mid morning til early afternoon. The food quality isn’t great, but ties you over if peckish.
We were given two tokens when we arrived, we traded these in at the bar for a green plastic cup, these cups can be used for soft drinks when at the pool and there are self serve drinks machines at the pool bars. Beer and a selection of wine are also available on self serve. If you want cocktails or spirits you need to be served at the bars.
I was so impressed once we got to the room, was a tiny bit difficult to find as the resort is a bit like a village with various buildings, but everything was labelled well. We took the lift up to the 3rd floor (lift was a tiny bit ropey and not well labelled where you are once in) but we walked along the landing and some bits looked quite tired, but we opened the door and I was so happy! The room had been freshly renovated and was huge, please see video. The layout was fantastic with a living area seperate from the bedroom area. The room was clean and so welcoming with a microwave and a full size fridge. I would recommend opting for a sea view, some of the rooms over look the back of the buildings. The balcony is spacious with table and chairs and gorgeous views of the pool and sea at night. There is little to no disturbance from the hotel entertainment where we were in block 6.
It’s now dinner time, we head into the restaurant, there are three outdoor dining areas in addition to the main dining hall. We thought it would be tricky to get a spot outside, but the tables are turnt over very quickly by the friendly and polite staff. We managed to sit outside every night. One area over looks the beach which was our favourite.
I wasn’t too keen on the food, I don’t think the quality was particularly good and as a fussy eater, not too varied. However, as the week went on, I did find it to get better.
The evening entertainment was typical cheesy singers, we don’t have children with us but the children’s entertainment started at 8:30 so we were catching the mid of it after we had finished dinner. The staff were enthusiastic and the children seemed to love it. But if this is not your cup of tea, I would aim for a later dinner so you can avoid the children’s entertainment in the bar area after. The bar area is big and has lots of seating, there were not too many queues and was quick to be served, self serve soft drinks and beer/ wine also available here.
The location of the hotel is great, there is a back entrance which takes you straight onto the beach, if you walk left there is a small shopping centre about 5 minutes walk down the road. There are a few shops and restaurants including an Indian and a Chinese. You can also hire bikes from here.
All in all, it’s a nice hotel. Great for families. I probably wouldn’t return, but enjoyed my stay whilst here.

It’s worth starting by saying we booked via Jet2 and they have it listed as 4* however Tui have it listed as a 3* - which I think is what it is.
We returned from a week here with our 5 year old and 1 year old. Fantastic family hotel! I read reviews about rude staff but we can’t say we ever encountered this - everyone was very friendly - I witnessed the barmaid sarcastically saying “thank you” to a customer who didn’t use any manners which I think she’s fully in her right to do so.
The rooms and balcony are a bit basic in decor but are really big and spotless. The microwave and fridge was a nice touch for our daughters bottles although some bottles of water would be nice on arrival. Also the TV had all the major UK channels includong CBeebies and Disney channel which made getting ready in the mornings a lot easier!
The restaurant always had a big selection, although not always hot but there was always something to choose from, some themes would be nice though as there was often curry but no rice ect. Sushi night was especially well received. The pool bar food is basic and repetitive thoigh would be nice to have a bit of a mix on that. The cocktails are nice and there’s so many spirits to choose from you can make your own cocktails that arnt on the list - I made an espresso martini and had several iced lattes throughout the day
The pool area is very big and there’s a lot of sun beds however all the good ones are gone by 7am - and as there is only 10 beds with direct views of the kids pool it makes it a bit difficult. The pools are very cold but nice in the sun, there’s music and activities at intervals throughout the day. The pool edges could do with a bit of a clean but we saw the pool team cleaning every morning. Also be warned the tiles around the pool are extremely slippery! They applied anti slip on the bridges whilst we was there but the pool area can be dangerous - children would fall over almost every 5mins so if your taking young ones buy some anti slip pool shoes they are a life saver!
The entertainment is a bit basic with no sets ect / the stage needs a bit of jazz - a sparkly curtain or something. but the kids loved the kids disco every night although all the parents agreed it could do with starting earlier - 8:30pm is quite late for the little ones a lot of parents sitting around after dinner waiting for it to start.
The location can not be faulted though - right on the beach and the walk in both directions offer a lot of nice shops restaurants and bars all the promenade is very well maintained and spotless clean.
We were worried after reading the reviews but we will happily head back.
