We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this resort and it truly exceeded our expectations. The location is stunning, set in a beautiful area and just a short distance from a gorgeous beach, making it perfect for both relaxation and exploring.
The resort caters brilliantly to all age groups, with multiple swimming pools and plenty of activities to enjoy. There’s something for everyone from tennis and mini golf to a fun play beach area making it especially ideal for families. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay.
One of the standout features was the incredible food selection. The variety was exceptional, with dishes inspired by different regions around the world, ensuring there was always something new and delicious to try. The ice cream bar was a hit, and having drinks available all day added to the overall convenience and enjoyment.
A particularly memorable highlight was the complimentary tickets to Zoomarine, which made for an amazing day out. The resort also makes it easy to explore nearby attractions—the famous Benagil Caves are just a few minutes away, and the convenient pick-up and drop-off service arranged through guest relations was seamless and hassle-free.
Overall, this resort truly deserves its 5-star rating. It offers a perfect blend of comfort, entertainment, and exceptional service, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.

The stay was amazing, we were there for one week for a family vacation and I can just recommend it. The installations are great you have big pools and a lot of great options to have a great time with the kids. Besides I have to give a really big shoutout to the restaurants Roastic and Corsello for the great food and the attention we received from the staff which was outstanding especially from Rui, Nuno and Enric from the transport team.
Thank you for that pleasant stay and for having us creating beautiful memories here which will stay with us for a lifetime 🙏❤️🤗 Temur & Chantal

Fantastic Family Stay – Highly Recommend this Alvor Tivoli
We spent **ten days** here over **Easter 2026** as a family with three teenagers, and overall, we had a wonderful experience.
**Highlights of our stay:**
* **The Grounds:** The resort is impressively large and features beautifully maintained gardens. It creates a very relaxing atmosphere.
* **Accommodations:** Our rooms were lovely, spacious, and came with a great balcony or terrace.
* **Dining:** The food was delicious! We truly enjoyed the variety and quality of the meals.
* **Facilities:** The sports area is a great addition and was well-used by our family.
**Exceptional Service:**
We initially had a small issue in the teenagers' room, as the third bed (a sofa bed) was too small for someone over 1.70m. However, the hotel staff was incredibly accommodating and professional. They quickly arranged a room change for us, ensuring we had three full-sized, comfortable beds. We really appreciated this level of customer care!
**Things to Note:**
It is worth mentioning that the wellness area and the quiet "adults" pool are restricted to guests aged 16 and over. Because of this, the other pools can get quite crowded and noisy. If you are traveling with younger teenagers, it’s just something to keep in mind for your daily planning.
**Overall Impression:**
Despite the age restrictions in certain areas, this resort is absolutely recommendable. We had a fantastic time in Alvor and would definitely love to come back!

We landed home from a week here on Tuesday 21st April.
Myself, husband and 2 boys had the best week away. After seeing all the recent reviews we were worried.
All the staff were helpful and friendly.
The pools although cold when you first went in were fine once you were in. My 2 never left them.
The train Into alvor was so handy!
The walk to the beach was lovely and we went to to the caves which were absolutely stunning.
We ate in the Italian restaurant 2 nights and that was really lovely food.
The buffet food was as expected but always something for us to eat and was always hot. We did have the earlier time for breakfast and tea.
The snacks at lunch went down a treat as did the ice creams.
We would return and do the free family trip to the animal park as we didn't manage to squeeze that in.
Entertainment on an evening was great, we never used the kids club or made the mini disco but the water polo and games around the pool were great.
The room was always clean and tidy with 2 bottles of water left daily.
Thank you for making our boys first holiday one to remember.
My only gripe is charging €55 per room service as once the children were asleep it wasn't always easy to get out and get drinks from the bar being further away from our rooms.

We arrived today and have been very unlucky with the weather. The resort can’t help this, but the pools which in some places are listed heated, but on the hotels on site they state acclimatised. Basically they are only warmish when the weather is warm.
We have a week full of cold rainy weather in front of us, with two young children who have been looking forward to playing in the pool for weeks.
The water is too cold for their little bodies, and combined with the outside temperature, a recipe for sickness.
I asked if they could kindly allow for just 1 hour of time in the indoor pool (part of the spa) on a couple of days of holiday, it would be enough to appease the children and help them feel content. I explained that another families would be grateful for that too, and we’d all happily stick to any hour that suits the spa best.
No compromise offered at all. Not even 1 hour across the whole week.
Not what I would expect from a family hotel.
We are here to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday. And had requested rooms in advance together, especially as the little ones like to be able to move between rooms.
Over the phone I was told this won’t be a problem, they’ll do their best to accommodate. On arrival we were told that it’s not possible, we’re in different blocks.
When questioning guest relations, we were told that because the room categories are different, deluxe vs family they can’t do it. Why was I not told this over phone?
Restaurant bookings are impossible. Everything is fully booked. Again at guest relations, I’m told that there’s nothing that can be booked after Thursday, however at the next desk I overheard a reservation being made for Friday. When pushed I eventually was given a booking for Friday, but after a little back and forth.
I’m not sure why the second rate treatment?.Bitterly disappointed with the service, and tarnishes what should have been a wonderful group trip to celebrate a milestone birthday.
The only reason for two stars over one, was Sophia the Head Chef who went out of her way to help with dietary requirements. She’s a shining star for the resort and her service and manner alone would be rated 5 stars if I could.
