The location itself is by far the best in vilamoura however that's where it goes down hill. The entire business is designed to Syphon as much money out you as possible I asked for a bucket of ice was informed that ice is free but they want to charge €7.50 to bring it to my room I asked which bar I can go get it from myself they said you can't do that they have to charge you €7.50 for the privilege. The coffee machine in the rooms where the pods that are provided you are charged €2 euros per pod. I asked for an extra pillow they wanted to charge extra for that. When checking in despite booking a superior room with a sea view they tried to downgrade us to the standard room. On the first day we were there I noticed a young child had wondered off into the deep end of the pool and was struggling I had to jump in to help them ( on this note I blame the parents just as much). Later in the day I asked the general manager where the life guards were informing them of the situation and was told they don't have life guards at the pool but have 2 at the beach. I rooms were not serviced or cleaned all we had was somone knocking on the door asking to check our mini bar incase we have taken something out of it so that we can be charged the very words the lady used!! We travelled with a relative who was in a wheelchair and when we came back on an evening we found ourselves stuck outside unable to get access to the hotel only was round was to climb a bunch of stairs to come in via the taxi drop off point to gain access and push one of the emergency exits open. The balcony is covered with bird droppings and the plastic flooring panels on the balcony are separating. Breakfast is a joke especially for €42 per person poached eggs are undercooked the so called bacon was not bacon looked like a piece processed ham that had been cooked to appoint where it resembled shoe leather. However the good points regarding breakfast is that it had a large selection of fresh fruits pastries and fresh juices. As a whole I love vilamoura and this is our second trip here although the previous year we stayed in a rented villa and will 100% visit vilamoura again but not the Tivoli hotel the are much better options near by at a better price. Supposed to be a 5 star hotel in my opinion maybe a 3 star plus at a push

This is a nice hotel. However a number of issues means we will not return. We booked direct with the hotel (to save them the booking engine fees) as we find this often leads to a better room. We booked a seafront facing deluxe room. When booking we asked the highest available room. On arrival we were allocated a room on the 3rd floor. The hotel has 9 floors. We asked for a higher room and were advised this would add an extra 225 € per night on top of the 292 € we were already paying and the room would be exactly the same size which I thought was quite unfair. Extortionate really so we decided to stick with the allocated room. It turns out the room on the 3rd floor was very nice. However we would have very much preferred a much higher room for the views. Pricing was an issue at the hotel. We had just stayed at three other 5 star hotels on a trip through Portugal. You expect to pay a premium but the bar and restaurant prices at the Tivoli are excessive. The biggest issue and the reason we will not return is the breakfast rooms. There are 2 rooms and an outside area. The outside area was a little too cold to sit in April 2025. The main room is incredibly busy and the side room is dull and also noisy and busy. Every table seems to have a line of people walking by. It is far too busy and an altogether stressful and unpleasant experience. It is the worst way to start any day. I would look for another hotel if you visit Vilamoura.

Great location, view of the marina from one side and view of the pool/beach from the other. Beds are comfy. I stayed in two rooms - the first (429) was end of corridor and the service lifts were just behind the head of the bed - noisy until well past midnight and started again before 6. At my request the hotel moved me to the centre of a different floor for my remaining two nights. The hotel is generally quite noisy - concrete and glass being unforgiving at noise absorbing. Seeing two rooms made me realise there are a few niggles with maintenance - nothing severe but just a bit tired - some things worked better in one room than the other, small differences in both. Food was good throughout my stay - standard high class fancy, but still mass catering. Breakfast choice was excellent. We had a conference for about 150 and the adjoined conference centre is good for that purpose. Staff were good, impressive standard of English. Overall a good business hotel but not the absolute best I've stayed in.

The Tivoli Marina is the most beautiful, clean hotel and the landscaped gardens and pool area are stunning.
Wonderful quiet rooms, I definitely recommend the sea view rooms with private balcony which have the sun. The marina view rooms seem to be in shade but maybe that’s because we went in February.
The location is perfect right next to the marina and the beach and promenade.
Fantastic breakfast and very friendly professional staff.
I would stay there again

I had an incredible stay at the Tivoli! My mom and I visited to celebrate my 21st birthday, and the hotel made it extra special by surprising me with cake twice and a bottle of champagne. The entire hotel, including the rooms, was spotless. The staff were exceptionally warm, friendly, and always eager to accommodate our needs. We dined at the Pepper Steak restaurant, where both the food and service were outstanding. Having stayed at numerous hotels and resorts in Dubai, I can confidently say that the Tivoli is the best of them all!
