If you don’t want to spend time in the overly touristic Albufeira, this is a very good place to stay. The hotel is definitely not 5-star worthy but it is a nice hotel. Everything is well kept and very clean. Hotel room is good with a comfy bed. The bathroom in the room is dated. Staff at the reception is very friendly but in the rest of the resort the staff is not that kind. The restaurants at the resort are nice but the pizza we enjoyed the most. All in all we had a great time at the resort, the vicinity not so much.

It’s a beautiful property in a great location, but unfortunately the service was very disappointing. My girlfriend wasn’t feeling well, and I tried to bring her a simple bowl of oats from the breakfast area. Staff refused and didn’t offer an alternative. When I went to reception, they suggested I pick the food myself so room service could deliver it pointless back and forth instead of just helping.
At the beach, things weren’t better. Even as hotel guests, we were asked to pay for sunbeds. When I asked to charge it to the room, they said that wasn’t possible. Since we didn’t have our wallets with us, we had to go all the way back to the room and return, which killed the mood of being at the beach.
The entire bathroom felt outdated, especially the shower, which had weak water pressure and only a handheld option. There was also just a bathtub, no proper walk-in shower
Breakfast itself was underwhelming, with limited options and average ingredients. The hotel’s restaurants were even worse, completely unacceptable for a supposed 5-star hotel.
Beautiful setting, but the service and dining make it hard to recommend…

There were a lot of nice things about this resort but it is certainly not a 5-star experience. Many of the amenities advertised on their site (shuttle to town, spa, indoor pool) were closed or unavailable. They charge guests 20€ for beach chairs/umbrella. The pool towel system is extremely strict and they still ran out at one point during our stay. The apartment rooms are convenient for a family but very dated and the linens, decor, housekeeping are not up to par for a 5-star resort. When we complained about the missing amenities, we were told it was their policy not to provide any sort of compensation. However, after several conversations with the manager, we were able to get 2 vouchers to the dinner buffet which was a nice meal.
The location is great. The beach is not private so it can get crowded. Better and much more affordable food can be found off the resort property within a 10-minute drive. The drinks and food are exorbitantly expensive even for a resort.
The resort is extremely family-friendly and all of the pools had many children running about.
Overall we had a nice time, but would not stay here again. Better bang for your buck (and a quieter spot for couples) can be found elsewhere.

Not too great despite the price! The room we were given was a super west facing room thus you can imagine the heat! We requested for a change and it took them 2 days to agree as they kept claiming no one ever complained about the air condition nor heat - I guess they don’t understand the cultural differences - westerners tend to love the sun and they are generally ok with heat while Asian don’t like sun nor heat. We had to kept going to the reception to request and they kept “rejecting” and kept saying it’s likely our problem for not closing the balcony door which was not the case!

This hotel is amazing! Rooms are beautiful, big, clean and amazing views, bottled water left daily, towels changed every other day, bed changed mid week, rooms cleaned daily unless you request otherwise, tea/ coffee making facilities along with a tv and a fridge!
Location is spot on, 35 mins from airport, 15 min walk to new town, 15 mins drive to old town but 10 min ( 10 euro) tuk tuk ride from new town to old town, 20 mins drive drive the marina.
We only did B&B, breakfast food was spot on everyday, so much, almost too much, to choice from, lots of different places to eat, private access to beach, convenience store 5 minute walk away, staff are very friendly and super helpful , there is a secure luggage room. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a quiet relaxed week away!
If I had to be negative at all, I would say evening entertain could be better ( live singer 3x a week only) and would be nice for this hotel to offer all inclusive, other than that this hotel deserves its 5 stars! Please do not be put off by negative reviews ❤️
