Initial thoughts are wow!! It's a fantastic hotel within a village. Arrival was good and reception was impressive. Even though I booked a standard room with resort view I was impressed with the room, bed, and balcony. Bathroom and shower not so impressive. Restaurants and bars are not cheap but are worth it. Biggest disappointment by far is the breakfast!! It's shocking for a 5 star. Queues, terrible selection, poor quality. The breakfast really let's down the hotel in my opinion.
If you're going to the beach there is limited availability and expect to pay €30 for two beds. Overall impressive with a shocking breakfast!!

There were a lot of nice things about this resort but it is certainly not a 5-star experience. Many of the amenities advertised on their site (shuttle to town, spa, indoor pool) were closed or unavailable. They charge guests 20€ for beach chairs/umbrella. The pool towel system is extremely strict and they still ran out at one point during our stay. The apartment rooms are convenient for a family but very dated and the linens, decor, housekeeping are not up to par for a 5-star resort. When we complained about the missing amenities, we were told it was their policy not to provide any sort of compensation. However, after several conversations with the manager, we were able to get 2 vouchers to the dinner buffet which was a nice meal.
The location is great. The beach is not private so it can get crowded. Better and much more affordable food can be found off the resort property within a 10-minute drive. The drinks and food are exorbitantly expensive even for a resort.
The resort is extremely family-friendly and all of the pools had many children running about.
Overall we had a nice time, but would not stay here again. Better bang for your buck (and a quieter spot for couples) can be found elsewhere.

Beautiful hotel with great amenities and surrounding grounds. The breakfast was particularly nice and we loved the inclusion of the Portuguese Custard Tarts! The only downside was that our room did not have all of the toiletries, it looked like the person who serviced it had forgotten to put some of them out, however the hotel reception were very helpful and provided some to us. The staff were friendly and we left feeling like valued customers. We would definitely stay here again!

Had a good time at the resort, it was located close to the Albufeira strip and we experienced good customer service. Breakfast was good and the resort itself was beautiful.
However, there aren't many activities that we could've done. The staff seemed unsure about facilities available on site.
I would recommend checking for what facilities are open or closed before visiting. At the time of visit we asked multiple staff members about the facilities but they had advised different things, one said all facilities were closed except for the gym whilst another said all pools were open. In the end we were unable to use any facilities as we thought we'd be able to right before checking out but instead had to spend time going around the resort investigating which facilities were actually open ourselves which was a shame.
We also didn't receive any compensation for the spa being closed.
We stayed in this resort to celebrate a birthday and this was communicated to the team but we didn't hear anything back.
There wasn't much to do within the resort so we resorted to staying out for the most of it.
Overall beautiful hotel but not much to do within it aside from dine.

A beautiful hotel ruined by terrible service — not worthy of 5 stars
We stayed here to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what you’d expect from a 5-star hotel.
The hotel looks stunning in photos and the location is lovely, but the service was cold, disorganized, and honestly, quite disappointing. At check-in, no one welcomed us properly or explained anything. no map, no information about the spa, restaurants, or even breakfast. We had to ask about everything ourselves, only to find out the spa was closed, with no prior notice or communication.
For the beach, we tried to get towels and were told they had run out. Minutes later, we saw a staff member walking by with a huge pile of them. Still, no one offered to help, no apology, not even a hello.
One morning, we were sitting quietly on the sunbeds before service hours, and a staff member started shouting at us aggressively in Portuguese, demanding that we leave. No greeting, no explanation just yelling. We weren’t the only guests treated poorly; we saw others also complain.
In our room, we were woken up at 4am by a cricket, and the next night, we found a cockroach in the bathroom. In a supposed 5-star hotel. My boyfriend had to kill it and bring it to reception for anyone to take the issue seriously.
He had pre-arranged a birthday breakfast with champagne and cake. The champagne never came. The staff’s excuse? “That comes from a different department.” Again — zero communication or coordination.
As “compensation,” they offered us lunch at the seafood restaurant but gave us a limited menu missing all the best dishes. On top of that, our order was wrong and arrived very late.
The only moment we truly enjoyed was dinner at Le Club great food, beautiful view. But one good dinner doesn’t save an entire experience.
This hotel has all the potential to be incredible, but the service is far from luxury: untrained staff, poor communication, and an overall lack of respect for guests. I wouldn’t recommend it and sadly, I won’t be coming back.
