You arrive to a beautiful entrance and grounds, immaculately maintained. Excellent helpful and friendly staff on reception.
We had booked a one bedroom apartment in the Serecena block which was well placed to catch the sun on the patio from morning to evening. The apartment was well furnished and had good quality comfortable furniture and the lounge, dining and patio areas can comfortably sit 6 persons. The TV has the main UK channels and a JBL soundbar that you can connect to via Bluetooth to play music from your phone.
The bed mattress is firm, which won’t suit all, but I found it comfortable. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with large fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, dishwasher, washing machine and everything you might need for cooking. Even a blender, juicing machine and Nespresso. There was hot/cold air conditioning units in the lounge and bedroom.
The resort offer an excellent water and energy reducing option to opt out of daily cleaning, towel and bed linen changes. For each day you opt out you are given a €5 voucher to spend in the bar or restaurant (beer vouchers!).
We used the gym and indoor pool, which were both good, but one of the running machines was out of order for all 10 days of our stay. The ladder to exit the pool was also wrapped in hazard tape, which detracted from the overall impression.
You can walk to the nearest supermarket at a nearby golf resort in 20 mins but realistically you need a hire car if you stay here self catering or to explore the area.
There were a few minor issues with the apartment that detracted from an overall excellent experience. The chairs on the patio were frayed, the dishwasher trays rusting, and rust also on the heated towel radiator. We found the gardening and maintenance staff took a shortcut past our patio, across the pedestrian walkway and through the car parking spaces, rather than using the service road, which did detracted from sitting out.
Overall we found the resort excellent and it is highly recommended.

Rooms are out of date. There are no outlets around the bed to charge devices which we thought was absolutely ridiculous in todays day. There is also no access to streaming services on the TVs. The room we had had a toilet that would squeak when you sit on it and the bed was also very squeaky. There is no body wash or conditioner provided in the showers (only shampoo).
The outdoor pools close at 6pm which we thought was very early. And in order to use the indoor pool on the resort you have to purchase hair caps from the resort!!?? (Absolutely ridiculous)
There is only one restaurant for dinner and it has a set menu and they charge additional in order to make any changes to it. The breakfast buffet is also very basic.
Also the location of the resort is not ideal. It's very far from everything so if you're looking to go out for dinner because you don't like anything on the only restaurants set menu, it's about 20 euros one way in an uber. Also very far from the beaches.
Also it seems that there is never a supervisor on site to bring up concerns with. We were disappointed in this resort and it is definitely not worthy of being categorized as 5 star. Would not recommend staying here.

Vale d'Oliveiras Quinta Resort & Spa is an excellent choice for a relaxing family vacation. There’s plenty to do, and the indoor pool is a huge plus during the colder months. The apartments are spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable, making them ideal for families.
The landscapes are beautifully maintained, creating a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. The staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist. Breakfast is a highlight, with delicious options and enough variety to keep things interesting throughout the stay.
A great place to relax and enjoy quality time with the family. Highly recommended!

This resort has answered back to my wife’s review, Charnvir. They lied about everything, first, there was only one Bottle for shampoo in the washroom Secondly, Nobody came to address the toilet situation (my previous Review says someone barged in my room in the morning maybe that’s what they’re referring to, but the person spoke no English.. so not sure, They’re lying about us declining the service when we didn’t understand The language ) In my previous review, it states that the person who knocked on our door and barged into our room, did not speak English. The pool was explicitly told to us that it closes at 6 and their reply says it’s for 7pm, So another blatant lie. The indoor pool they replied back saying shower cap will be provided by the hotel but that’s a lie as well because they said we have to purchase it. We don’t usually post reviews that are bad, but this hotel has taken this to another level. When we checked out, we were given every assurance that they would compensate us, but they’ve just replied back to my wife’s post in a big lie. Is this the compensation they were promising us?

Where do I start, the toilets creek (never faced that before) the beds creek, there are no outlets to plug our devices. Their shampoo and body wash is 1 bottle, you get mixed messages from the staff about that. Some say we’re bringing body wash and other said it’s the same, so which one is it. This morning we’re sleeping and someone knocks our door so I wake up to open the door and this person just barges into the room with his master key card. When I opened the door he was like oh sorry sorry, speaks not a speck of english and doesn’t know how to explain himself. What if my wife was indecent? Why are you barging in. The dinner is a set menu and if you want to change something on the menu, they charge you €10 just to change out for example potatoes for salad. I found that crazy. Because we didn’t like their set menu we had to go off resort and where this resort is everything is at least 15 to 20 minutes out so the Uber rides were at least €10. All in all very bad experience.
