Let’s start with the bad. There’s a giant gap in the bathroom door on all four sides. No sound isolation whatsoever, and absolutely no feeling of privacy. It’s hard to understand this design choice.
The food is mediocre to outright bad. They don’t use any spices or even salt, so the meats are tough and dry. The fruit selection is basic, often looking like it’s been sitting around for a while. No fun tropical fruits like the ones you see in the local markets, which is disappointing. Breakfast is especially boring, it’s exactly the same every single day, with zero variety. The overall quality is underwhelming, and the fruits and vegetables don’t taste or look fresh.
Housekeeping was also a letdown. The floor in our room wasn’t cleaned for days, and the water glasses weren’t replaced, despite us putting them in the sink and on the floor. We had to go and specifically request it, which is just wild for a four-star hotel.
The pool situation is frustrating too. It closes at 6 PM, which is so early it basically makes it unusable for evening swims. And even when it’s open, the water is cold (the wind doesn’t help), so it’s not really enjoyable anyway.
A small thing, but still: the toilet paper is terrible. Super thin and cheap. I got a cold during the trip and made the mistake of using it to blow my nose - huge regret. 😀
Also, there’s no bottled water in the hotel, and you’re not allowed to fill your own bottles from the water coolers in the common areas. That just feels ridiculous, especially in a hot climate where staying hydrated is essential.
Now, for the good things. The room itself is lovely - new, modern, spacious, and with a good amount of storage. The bed is very comfortable, and the shower is great: large, good water pressure, and pleasant to use (though the shelf space for skincare is a bit limited).
The biggest highlight was the staff in the restaurant and bars. They were absolutely amazing. Friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind. They really made our stay so much better and left a great impression.
The drinks were also a pleasant surprise. While the variety isn’t huge, the quality is solid. They use good alcohol and the beer is especially nice.
It was my birthday during the stay, and they left a sweet note and a bottle of cava in the room. I know my partner requested it, so I’m not sure if it would’ve happened otherwise, but still it was a lovely touch and very much appreciated.

Unfortunately, this 4-star hotel did not quite meet expectations. The all-inclusive offer was rather limited and felt quite basic in many aspects.
The overall cleanliness of the hotel was okay, but there were some noticeable issues: the wardrobe doors in the room were crooked and barely closed properly, the toilet paper holder was loose, and the kettle was partly rusty. Other details also showed signs of wear, like rusty trash bins in the bathroom. One door handle was loose and rattled.
The room facilities were rather simple and not very modern. A safe was not included and had to be paid for separately.
In the room, water was provided once at the beginning, but nothing was refilled afterward. The minibar stayed empty. The glasses in the room were not replaced but just turned upside down after use.
Meals were served buffet-style — breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Unfortunately, much of the food was often cold, dry, and blandly seasoned, so you often had to add salt or spices yourself. The rolls served in the morning were often the same ones offered again at lunch and dinner. They were not very fresh in the morning and got even drier and less tasty throughout the day. Sometimes leftovers from lunch were reused in the evening, mixed into other dishes. Overall, the food felt quite carelessly prepared and just didn’t taste good.
The salad was okay if you put it together yourself, but sometimes you’d get unlucky and bite into a small grain of sand because it wasn’t always washed thoroughly enough.
On the positive side, the drink service during lunch and dinner was okay: the first round of drinks usually came quickly, but for anything else you had to ask. Still, the service was acceptable.
The dining area was covered but completely open, so it was windy most of the time and quickly uncomfortable in cooler weather. There were no wind-protected seating areas.
Any special requests were basically out of the question in this hotel — something you’d normally expect in other hotels of this category.
We didn’t use the pool area because it was usually quite crowded and also rather unimpressive.
Considering the quality of the food and service, the price-performance ratio didn’t feel right.
All in all, the stay fell far short of what you would expect from a 4-star hotel with all-inclusive service. A bit more attention to detail could have made a big difference.

We stayed at Hotel Taimar for 8 days on an all-inclusive basis. Our group of 7 people ranged in age from 60 to 14, and everyone was satisfied.
Although check-in starts at 4 p.m., we arrived around noon and got two of our rooms early, right next to each other. The third room was ready shortly after lunch. The receptionist was very kind and helpful.
Rooms were very nice, modern, and clean, with spacious balconies. Nothing was missing, and cleaning was done daily.
Staff were friendly and always smiling. The waiters worked hard and stayed efficient despite the bar not having self-service for wine and beer. Draft beer was excellent, and cocktails were mostly great — just occasionally missing an ingredient.
The food was generally good, though some days we ate very well and others were more average — probably depending on the chef. Fruit selection could be improved.
The pool area was clean and relaxing, with a chill atmosphere and a nice sundeck. The bar was good, but once the cakes were finished, they were not replenished.
We rented 2 cars — parking at the hotel was free and easy.
At check-out, although we missed breakfast, the staff kindly offered us coffee before departure. Very polite and thoughtful.
Overall, a great stay with excellent value for money. We would definitely return.

We just had a very nice sunny week here (January). Quiet place. Nice swimming pool. All-in formula is not the most extensive, but good quality food, reasonable choice. Wine and beer are quite acceptable. Rooms okay with a nice terrace and daily cleaned. Best experience with the wonderful staff!
