We had a pleasant holiday overall. I think this place is great value for money, but avoid it if you are expecting a 5 star treatment.
The rooms are spacious, although a bit dated. The cleaning service is fine although the blankets in the room had a bit of a strange smell.
In general, the whole structure could use some modernization, it looks like it has been like this since the 80’s.
One downside is the strict adherence to check-in at 3 PM and check-out at 12 PM, even with the all-inclusive package. On the day of arrival, we got there at 9 AM but had to wait until 3 PM to access the buffet. On the day of departure, our wristbands were cut at noon which us something I’ve never experienced in other all-inclusive resorts.
The food was very good with great selection(and we’re Italian so believe us!!), and the all-inclusive offer was acceptable. The show cooking chef was so kind to us we really enjoyed the small talk!!
However, it was disappointing that you can’t enjoy any meals on the day of arrival or departure especially considering the large amount of food that goes to waste.
Regarding its location, the hotel is very close to the airport, so frequent flights pass overhead, it didn’t bother me personally.
It’s also conveniently located near Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje, both easy to reach by car. However, getting to the north side of the island takes over 40 minutes on the highway. There isn’t much to do in the immediate area around the hotel, so in the evening, it’s better to head to Los Cristianos.
However, you can reach sandy beaches like playa tejitas or playa de las vistas within 10/20 min by car, just keep in mind that in some parts of the day (3PM and 6PM) the streets are congested.

Perfect get away for a few days ! The hotel is definitely not a 5 star by UK standards however the food was lovely and the facilities were brilliant. We enjoyed a massage in the spa and a sunbathe by the pool. Rooms were spacious however dated but for the price I couldn’t complain. There was a cockroach in the bathroom and we spoke to reception who had a Maintinence worker at our room within 5 minutes who thoroughly took care of the bugs and even returned a few hours later to see if we’d had any more issues! Upon leaving our taxi to the airport didn’t show up so security called us a taxi and waited with us for it as he didn’t want us being outside by ourselves in the middle of the night as two young females. The care & service of the staff at the hotel was brilliant !!

This is not a five-star hotel, and honestly, I’m not quite sure what rating to give it. I’d say it’s a solid three stars. We stayed here for just one night, mainly because the hotel has a pool — that was our main reason for choosing it.
Yes, there are pools, but in reality, only the kids’ pool and one of the general pools are open. The largest and deepest pool is under maintenance — and that’s during the start of the season, which seems like a very odd decision. Especially considering that we were here two months ago, in winter, and everything was working perfectly back then.
Now, with only one small general pool available, it gets overcrowded quickly. The atmosphere is not exactly pleasant — it feels cramped and far from relaxing.
As for the food — it’s a mixed experience. The snacks are very basic and limited, nothing special. However, dinner and breakfast were actually good: full meals, decent variety, and tasty.
One more issue worth mentioning — there were no towels available at the pool. We checked in at 3:30 PM, and by the time we arrived at the pool around 5:40 PM, there were no towels left. It’s a small thing, but it really affects the overall impression.
In summary, this hotel might be okay for a short stay if you’re not too demanding and don’t mind some inconveniences. But if you’re looking for comfort and proper service — you might want to consider other options.

We went by the end of September for a short getaway: 4 days, all inclusive package from LoveHolidays (flights included). Here is our honest review of our experience.
- Overall: This hotel is a solid 4-star: for the price we paid for the package (330 pounds p/p) we got more than enough. We saw some guests complaining loudly and in such a rude manner, about the quality of the sofa bed or the entertainment singing only in English (for the British customers), that it was hard not feel sorry for the staff who were trying to do their best. Honestly, some people feel entitled to treat staff so poorly, just because they pay. They handled complaints and kept their cool despite of it all.
Surely, the facilities need some renovation and a more modern look, but in general the hotel is fine for a few days stay.
- Staff: Everyone was quite helpful and welcoming. We must say that they were very patient and tried to keep their cool with some annoying and rude customers. Helped us booking for a taxi, with a lost room key and renting a car. You can tell that the staff works long hours, as you could see them helping in different areas of the hotel. Also, they were very nice to my partner who only speaks a bit of Spanish, but was trying to practice.
- Room: Big, had balcony facing the sea, comfortable bed, extra blankets. The A/C is not that powerful, but for the temperature while we were there was ok.TV had multiple Spanish and British channels. Spacious bathroom, shower water pressure was good. In general the room's decoration was dated and it could do with some renovation and/or maintenance. Cleaning was only done once for us as we stayed for 4 nights only.
- Food: Buffet was varied in general, we liked the themed-dinners. The quality and freshness of the food was good. The cutlery, plates and glasses had some water marks which could easily be fixed. The staff were continuously cleaning up tables and welcoming guests.
- Bar and entertainment: The temperature of this room could be improved as it doesn't have much ventilation. The only type of beer on draught included was Amstel. We would have liked a local Spanish beer as well. Cocktails are from a machine. The entertainment of the days we stayed was ok. The magician was specially good for kids who stayed late waiting for him on that night. Freddy at the bar was very nice and friendly, and kept a positive attitude even when there were disgruntled guests who were rude. Give him a raise, this man is a true asset.
- Facilities/Location: Pool area was clean and you could see the staff keeping the area tidy during the day and early night. Towels were ok, and the pool bar offered some drinks and bites that were good. Common areas were clean. We liked that we could get a bus right outside the hotel to go to Los Cristianos beach. I read some people complaining about the planes passing by: to be honest we could not hear them at night with the windows closed, but truly... what were you expecting if Golf de Sur is situated right next to the airport? Btw, taxi to the airport was only 17 euros.

We booked this hotel from England based on cost, inclusive package and specifically as a known resort in Chennai, India as we are from Chennai . Although the customer service and hospitality was excellent, the only disappointment it had brought was “rooms”. We booked it for 4 - two adults and two children but when we arrived, it had one bedroom with two single beds attached and a sofa with cushions in a hall. When we checked with the reception, they said the sofa was the sofa bed (picture attached ). It was total disappointment. Both beds and sofa were not comfortable to sleep. Made squeaky sounds everyone we roll. Secondly, the air con did not work in the kid’s bedroom so we ended up keeping the hall air con on all the time with the door open throughout the night. I would recommend people to enquire properly and ask for pictures of the rooms and bed before booking. The other thing was, unlimited cocktails… very disappointing as it had only water than cocktails so we did not try it after first day of excitement.
