We enjoyed our stay and Dream Sands Cancun so much. We came for a 3 night stay for a wedding for my nephew. From the moment we arrived we were so pleased with the staff and facilities. Everything was taken care of, our luggage to our room, champagne on arrival and a cool wash cloth after travel. Even though our room wasn’t ready upon arrival we were able to start our day and when it was ready we were impressed. The beach was beautiful. Fine white sand and shallow waters great for kids and adults alike. We loved the beach volleyball in the water!
Our room was clean, well taken care of, comfortable and full of amenities. Fully stocked bar, washroom toiletries and a great view.
The staff at the bars and restaurants were so friendly and always ready to help. We especially loved the swim up bar Manatee Bay. Aurelio was the best bartender. Always making sure our drinks were flowing and having great conversations. We also owe a special thank you to Alejandro. He was so helpful for my nephew’s wedding. So kind and hardworking. We had a lovely time.
I also had the opportunity to visit the spa. We were blown away by the beautiful facilities. The steam room, the sauna, cold plunge, hot tub followed by a full body massage. It was heavenly. The staff in the spa were so lovely. It really was a gorgeous experience.
With all that said, we can’t wait to come back to Dreams Sands in the meantime it will stay in our wonderful memories!

The Dream Sands Cancun truly felt like paradise. The beach had the cleanest, calmest water I've ever experienced. The food was good for a resort, and the staff were absolutely incredible-so kind, attentive, and helpful with every detail. Our room was very clean, though a bit dated, but it didn't take away from the experience. I will definitely be coming back. Don't hesitate to book here- you won't regret it! My only small
disappointment was that the espresso machine broke three days before we left, and as Europeans who love our coffee, that was a letdown. But overall, everything else was amazing. We traveled as a family of seven and had a fantastic time.

About food:
Never order ramen in the Asian restaurant because it’s tasteless noodles boiled in soy sauce with pieces of boiled steak, just the worst. Also curry udon was disgusting. Gyozas are ok, some sushi are also good.
Olio restaurant- is the only option to have lunch beside the buffet. It’s small and has a lot of demand during lunch hour:had to wait 30 mins to enter and 30 mins for the food. So just wasted 1 hour waiting. Don’t order hamburger and burrito, but tacos de pescado, tostada de salpicon and aros de calamari are super good.
Buffet-overall the best place to eat in the resort cos it’s hard to choose wrong. Service is great. But I have a doubt that salmon wasn’t real salmon but painted cheap fish. And juices are mixed with too much water so almost tasteless.
Grill restaurant is just meh, but crema de elote is super deli.
Mexican restaurant-kinda ok.
But desserts are completely disgusting in all the resort places. Portions in all restaurants are 1/3 of normal size portion.
Preferred club membership is worth its price and almost guarantees you sunbed on the beach. But preferred pool area smells very bad, it’s way too small and more crowded than other pools.
The beach is just fantastic. Free of waves and seaweed. It was a reason #1 to come to this resort.
Stuff is amazing, super friendly and helpful.
Overall it’s good place to come for a few night less than a week.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience during our anniversary stay at Dreams Sands Cancun. Our original destination was Turks and Caicos, but due to a missed flight, we decided to change our plans at the last minute and fly to Cancun instead. Since it was a short flight and convenient, we booked our hotel while on the plane, relying on the positive feedback we had heard about Dreams Sands.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a security guard before entering the hotel, which provided an immediate sense of safety. The welcome included a glass of champagne and the pleasant aroma of the lobby. We encountered a VIP concierge, who offered us options for upgrades and timeshare opportunities, but they were polite and not overly pushy.
Our room exceeded expectations; although we had booked a partial ocean view, we were pleasantly surprised to find a large window directly facing the ocean, as all rooms are oriented towards the beach. The dining experience was exceptional, especially at the Japanese restaurant where the hibachi was particularly delicious. The buffet also offered a wide variety of tasty options. One of the standout features of the hotel is its proximity to the beach, which is just steps away from the lobby. The water there is shallow, with minimal waves, making it ideal for swimming, particularly in contrast to other areas of the hotel zone that experience more seaweed and rougher waters.
The only aspect that could be improved is the wait time for tables at the restaurant. Guests are required to sign in an old-fashioned book, indicating their party size and any food allergies. In this digital age, a more modern approach, such as a first-come, first-served system with a tablet for notifications, would be beneficial. The waits for servers, even at the buffet, were notably long.
Overall, aside from the table wait times, we had a very enjoyable stay at Dreams Sands Cancun and would highly recommend it to others looking for a quality hotel experience.mended.

We loved our stay and hated to leave! The one negative was the room was a bit small but outside of that it was perfect. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The beach, pool and food offerings were great. The beach was particularly good with both size, specific location for wind, etc and cleanliness. The entertainment staff was so fun with providing things to do throughout the day that accommodated all ages (Natalia, Leilani and Bryan!). We would absolutely go back.
