A beautiful young lady, Nayma Camacho from the Tropical entertainment staff is amazing. She gets the guests going and has an awesome sense of humor. Made out pool time the best times!

Carlota give great service at tropical buffet! Fanarda is nice as well. Pools are a little bit cold and the beach lack of sand in multiple areas this year, so we could see and feel the ciment. Otherwise the resort is nice, big, family and kids friendly, the slide area is particularly awesome! There is a club if you like to party as long as your not getting cold easily because the air conditionning is working so well that i couldn't stay inside more then 10 minute! 😅 But I'm always the one to be freezing so maybe don't give to much credit to that last comment, i looked like i was the only one freezing while others were dancing and having fun. We had a wonderful experience at the buffet restaurant in the hotel. The food selection was diverse and fresh, with many delicious options for everyone. Everything was beautifully presented and constantly refilled.
A special thank you to Palmeras, Sarahi Nahal, and Juan Pech for their outstanding service. They were very friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. Their positive attitude and professionalism made our dining experience even more enjoyable.

First of, this should be called a „most inclusive”because for those of us used to real all-inclusives this is going to really annoying you! Want to play billiard, bowling, or minigolf after dark? It’s all extra. Your kiddo wants to try the surfing pool? Guess what, that’s extra & if you want to watch them you too have to pay extra just to be there. This one makes zero sense and explains why the lounge area around this section is completely empty.
Then there’s the restaurants…Good luck getting a reservation! If you do get one, expect to still be waiting in a mass line of annoyed and confused people for up to 30mins just to get in.
That all said, all the staff are awesome!! From the sports center, Buffet & restaurant staff, to bars & entertainment and housekeeping, they are warm, courteous and accommodating. Jorge Morales saved the night at Santa Fe! Clearly understaffed and manging way more tables than normal, his joyful & energetic attitude more than made up for the inexplicable wait to get in.
The resort is big, well maintained, and the abundance of pool side hammocks is a wonderful (no extra charge!!) bonus. It’s a little far from the airport and the beach is very rocky and uneven, but if you wear water shoes or stick to the many pools you’ll have a blast.

We had the most amazing experience at Barceló Maya Tropical, and a huge part of that was thanks to the incredible event and animation staff.
Manuel Cervantes, Giovanni Mendoza, Kenia Flores, and Nayma Camacho work so incredibly hard to make every single day fun, engaging, and memorable—rain or shine! Their energy, positivity, and genuine love for what they do truly shines through and makes the resort experience next-level.
No matter the weather, they show up with smiles, enthusiasm, and nonstop entertainment that keeps everyone laughing and involved. If you’re looking for a fun, unforgettable vacation, these are absolutely the staff you want to spend your week with. They made our trip unforgettable!
