Our family of five had a wonderful experience staying at Port Orleans. We were situated in building 24, which was conveniently located less than a two-minute walk from a bus stop on the west side of the property, making transportation to and from the parks a breeze.
The rooms were spacious enough to accommodate all of us comfortably. One practical tip for future guests: the mini-fridge does not have a freezer compartment, which is something to consider if you plan on using reusable ice packs for a cooler.
Despite being a large resort, the amenities were fantastic. The main pool was a highlight for both kids and parents, and we happily spent a full day there. There is only one slide but kids did not wait long to go down it. The atmosphere was lively, with a kid-friendly DJ and affordable crafts available for only $3. The adjacent bar offered small plates, which was perfect for poolside relaxation. While the main food hall can get crowded, the staff operates with impressive efficiency. They also have gluten free options for people that have celiac disease and were very accommodating.
We also loved the scenic 30-minute boat ride to Disney Springs, which was a pleasant journey even on a hot day. I would highly recommend this resort to other families.

Upon arrival we noticed how hot our room was, we called for someone to look into this. A maintenance worker came and said the air conditioner filter was dirty-and changed it. At this resort you can’t lower the AC lower than 68 degrees. The maintenance worker was able to lower it for us. The temp never went below 70 even after the air filter change. We were never offered to move rooms. The mini fridge also was not getting cold. We had to put ice in bags to put in the fridge. Cleaning only came in one time during our 5 day stay. We did not have a door hanging sign that said do not disturb. There were not any elevators to get to your rooms, only stairs- so if you need help getting up stairs I recommend asking for bottom floor rooms.
Other than everything listed above, we enjoyed the beds and room in general. The food court was perfect! Lots of pools to choose from. Enjoyed the gift shop and the easy access to the bus transportation was great.

So I didn't stay at this resort for this trip but I have stayed here many times before. Last night my family and I visited Riverside for dinner because we like the food court. There are times when it's quiet and the ambiance from the lights and water outside makes it really nice. Last night was one of those nights. The food was okay but the staff was awesome. Everybody we came across were so friendly and we even got sprinkled with some Disney magic at the end of the night. A young lady in bakery gave us mini cupcakes after our dinner, amazing.

We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and overall had a great experience. The rooms are beautifully themed and the beds are very comfortable. However, if you're a group of four—especially with older teens—the rooms can feel a bit cramped. I’d recommend booking two rooms if you want a little more space.
The staff were absolutely amazing. They were incredibly accommodating, especially when it came to allergies, which made a big difference for us.
We did have an issue during our stay—it was the parks fault, (not the resorts ) but it wasn’t anything we caused. It resulted in a lot of wasted time and some frustration. That said, the way they handled it was outstanding. They took full responsibility and went out of their way to make things right.
A huge thank you to Diane, who truly went above and beyond. She was kind, proactive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience. She really does make dreams come true!

Very nice resort. Was very pleased. Accomodations, food court, pool and the grounds were very nice, neat and clean. Pretty upset when I needed to add another day because Magic Kingdom closed early (at 6:00pm) due to Halloween party that was not mentioned until our way to the park, which was 2:00. My check-in person asked manager/supervisor to see if they can give me a deal for my room, they would not give me a deal for my room. After spending four days already. I should have asked for a refund. It was very expensive!!! Not a great value hotel!!!
