The resort is very nice, the theming is great. I stayed in the preferred rooms of Alligator Bayou, bldg 15. It took a bit to figuring out the easiest and fastest way out to the bus and the main bldg. You have to go around the 1st floor of the bldg to find the stairs up/down and then go back around again to get off for the walkway. The room was ok, a bit dingy with the dark yellow walls and darker blue trim, no lights on the long TV wall. It was nice to have a ceiling fan in the room, it would have been better if the fan was actually cleaned to be able to use it. The food court had a lot of food options, but still its basic food taste. Boatwrights was very good, the server and the taste was excellent. I liked the long boat ride to Disney Springs, however the bus is much faster if you have reservations. The pools were crowded, being in June's hot weather, its expected. But I did find a quiet pool with some chairs still available.

From the moment we arrived at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside, it felt like stepping into a beautifully painted Southern postcard. The resort blends romantic, old‑world charm with the kind of thoughtful Disney touches that make every corner feel intentional. The resort is stunning — winding pathways, lush greenery, and the gentle flow of the Sassagoula River create a sense of calm that’s rare on a Disney vacation. Whether we were walking across the wooden bridges at sunrise or returning late at night with the lanterns glowing along the water, the entire property felt serene and immersive.
Our room was spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. The theming struck the perfect balance: subtle Disney magic without feeling overly cartoonish. The Royal Guest Rooms (if you stay in one) are especially enchanting, with fiber‑optic headboards that sparkle like fireflies. Riverside Mill Food Court delivered consistently good meals, and the variety made it easy for everyone to find something. Boatwright’s Dining Hall was a standout — hearty Southern comfort food with warm, attentive service. And the ability to hop on a riverboat to Disney Springs for dinner or shopping was a huge bonus. Buses were reliable, and the boat ride to Disney Springs was a highlight in itself. Even after long park days, returning to Port Orleans Riverside felt like coming home. All four Disney parks blended together into an unforgettable adventure — Magic Kingdom wrapped us in classic fairytale magic, EPCOT let us explore the world through incredible food and culture, Hollywood Studios delivered thrilling, movie‑like moments, and Animal Kingdom surrounded us with breathtaking nature and immersive storytelling, making each day feel completely unique yet perfectly connected in true Disney style. We left our Disney vacation feeling completely energized and already dreaming about the moment we can return — the magic, the atmosphere, and the unforgettable experiences across every park made it clear that this is a place we want to come back to again and again, and we’re genuinely excited to plan our next Disney adventure.

Port Orleans Riverside had a gorgeous decor and atmosphere. The rooms were beautiful and the beds were phenomenal. The front desk and housekeeping staff were amazing. The only thing that didn't go well was when visiting the food court, Riverside Mill. Two members of my family do not eat animal products and there were 1-2 hot options depending on the time of day. When the impossible burger was ordered, which was on two separate occasions, they had to wait 20-30 minutes to get their food. As someone who regularly cooks impossible burgers, I know they do not take that long to fully cook even when starting from frozen. I understand the plant based options are not going to be as readily available since demand is low, and may have to be cooked to order, but we are talking about a frozen pre made patty that is ready to cook and finished fully under 15 minutes. The other option that was available for dinner only it seemed was a cous cous bowl and impossible meatballs. We ordered two bowls one night and there were not enough meatballs for the two bowls so one was short 1/3 the protein of the meal. Ensuring you have an amount of meatballs that is a factor of what should be served in one dish seems easy enough. I'm not sure why they only had 5 cooked when one bowl needs 3. The service and food for the non-plant based members of our party was served quickly and tasted so good. It was a shame we couldn't eat together though, with the plant based members of my family still waiting on meals for so long after the rest of us had been served.

This place is just great! It's our third time here and it always feels like home. The guests and staff are friendly and welcoming. People say hi to you when you're out on a walk. The grounds are welcome kept and beautiful. The head of house keeping is awesome too. I can't say enough great things about Riverside and I can't wait to come back!

This was our second time at Port Orleans, but our first time staying in the riverside section. The property was clean, nice and what we expected. The only area I would provide feedback on is the restaurant the air-conditioning was not working and we were sat in a section of the restaurant that was right in front of the fireplace, I asked if the fireplace could be turned off the staff dismissed me and said fire does not provide much heat which was comical, and we perspired the entire time we had no idea there would not be air-conditioning. Otherwise we would have elected to eat somewhere else on property, but that information was not provided to us until we had already been 20 minutes into sitting down and ask the manager about the air-conditioning. The weight staff rarely came to our table, even though we ordered an all-you-can-eat style meal and compared to all of our other resort stays and experiences. This is by far completely different and not on brand for Disney. We have never had this type of experience before at any Disney property
