Our stay at Aventura was wonderful! Our stay was for three nights in a two queen standard room. We were given a free upgrade to a room on a higher floor with a view of the parks. Our room was very comfortable. We had a room very close to the elevators and it was still pretty quiet. The roof top bar in this hotel was outstanding in service and in its amazing views of the city at night. We had a late night dinner at the neighboring hotel Sapphire Falls because they serve food until midnight. Our service there was wonderful as well, and it was just a very short walk across the street.

I have no major issues with the property itself, which was quite nice, and offered beautiful views of Islands of Adventure from the higher floors. Also, you can benefit from all of the great amenities at Sapphire Falls next door without having to pay SF rates. I also liked the boat ride to City Walk from SF.
I dock them two stars due to the fact that they were unable to help me with some clothing items I mistakenly left behind. I fully accept my fault in leaving these shirts hanging in the closet. But I realized my mistake within a few hours of checking out and called immediately to report the lost items. In the past, I have been able to recoup lost items at hotels, but the folks at Aventura failed in this endeavor. The head of security said he sent someone up to look for the shirts and that they were not there. This means that he was either lying or a member of the cleaning staff took them, probably the latter. Of course, I don't have the kind of proof that it would take to press charges, and I understand that the hotel states very clearly that they can't be held responsible for items left behind. That said, guests routinely leave items behind and expect to be able to recoup their property. Good hotels go above and beyond to reconnect travelers with their possessions. I expect properties at this price point to be able to go the extra distance and to hire employees that are not thieves.

Overall, we'd stay here again for the right price. Staff super friendly, most of the facility was very clean, and we appreciated the shuttle. Parking was secure and convenient for an extra $30/night, with direct interior access into the hotel. We got breakfast from the hotel both days and it was way better than average. Oh, and don't miss the rooftop bar both day and night for spectacular views of the city....plenty of non-alcoholic options for those that do not drink....We especially liked the pub mix and had our best old fashioned to-date there. We were given a room that wasn't yet cleaned and the front desk promptly moved us. No room upkeep during our stay but it was clean overall. Not the best sleep for my husband between the road noise (not the hotel's fault) and the lights randomly turning on around 1:30 in the morning. The goods outweigh the bads, especially for the price paid compared to other hotels. We'd be back for the right price!

We love this hotel. You can easily walk to the Universal parks along a beautiful path (except for Epic, but there are buses running there). The pool is nice, and it’s just a 5-minute walk to Volcano Bay. The rooms are good. The lobby and the restaurants have a very relaxed atmosphere.
Insider tip: At 8:00 p.m., bring (your own wine) to the terrace and enjoy the fireworks on both sides — Universal and, in the distance, Magic Kingdom at Disney.

Aventura was a lovely hotel for a family stay. The staff was nice and helpful. The hotel is spacious, quiet, and kid-friendly. The location is a great central spot to Orlando Universal Studios. I love the frequent 15 minute shuttles to transport you between the parks. It was never a long wait time. Highly convenient!
