The location of Avanti was great, close to Universal and about 20 mins to Disney. The free shuttle buses were great for Universal but the times for Disney were poor so we ended up using Ubers for Disney days.
The room was a decent size we were given block 3 top floor with a pool view which was nice. Our room was only “cleaned” once during our 14 day stay despite them saying it will be cleaned every 4 days. When I say cleaned all they did was give fresh towels and make the bed. The floors were filthy and the surfaces were thick with dust by the end of the trip.
The fridge froze most things that were put in and there was no way to adjust the temperature & the shower pressure was terrible.
There were multiple people sat outside their rooms on the balcony smoking weed which could be smelt from inside our room & antisocial behaviour through the night which can also be heard and very loud despite signs showing quiet hours from 10pm-7am for respect.
The Starbucks at the reception was never open & the prices at the bar & grill were extortionate.
The pool was a good temperature however there is no lifeguard so make sure you can swim! They only had parasols on the tables and not on any of the sun loungers so if you needed shade you were quite restricted. There was also dried bird poop on most of the tables and chairs which indicates that they aren’t cleaned regularly.
Again, the location was great but I wouldn’t compromise comfort to stay here again. Save up a bit more money and stay somewhere better.

I checked into Avanti Resort on May 29 at approximately 10:45 PM. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the front desk staff and completed the check-in process. However, the room keys I was given did not work, requiring me to walk back to the front desk to have them replaced before I could access my room.
Once inside, I immediately noticed cleanliness issues. The bathtub contained hair and dirt left behind by a previous guest. After pulling back the bedding, I found additional hair and debris in the bed. The sheets were not properly tucked in and appeared as though a top sheet had simply been thrown over the mattress rather than the bed being fully remade and inspected between guests.
The most concerning incident occurred later that evening. Around 11:30 PM, while I was in bed, a man I assumed to be maintenance entered my room without knocking, announcing himself, or waiting for any response from the occupants. This was alarming and created a serious concern regarding guest privacy and safety.
When these issues were brought to the attention of the front desk, the response was disappointing. I was informed that fresh linens must be requested 24 hours in advance and was offered replacement sheets for us to change ourselves. Beyond that, there was little effort made to address the cleanliness concerns or the unauthorized room entry.
My expectations were realistic, as I understood I was booking a three-star hotel. However, basic cleanliness, guest privacy, and effective communication should be standard regardless of a property's rating. I am staying here for an event at the convention center, but based on my experience so far, I am disappointed with both the condition of the room and the lack of meaningful assistance from staff. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone considering future accommodations in the area.

Check in process was easy & efficient. Good location for Universal parks (10 min drive) & Disney parks (20 min drive). However these are the only good points of the hotel. The room always had a dirty floor, despite seeing the cleaners clean them. Socks/feet always ended up filthy. The fridge often leaked black stuff & the bath in the room was disgusting. We stayed in the hotel block to the left of the hotel reception on the 4th floor. We also had concerns regarding the people staying at the hotel, as it would seem a lot of the hotel is rented out to locals, but locals who seem to be high on weed & just generally odd. I’ll say no more on that, we didn’t trust leaving our stuff being unlocked out of our suitcase everyday. The elevator was unclean & there was what looked like rotten chicken in the lift for days. See photos as part of the review. I would recommend paying a little more for a cleaner/safer hotel.

Great location. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Pool and surrounding areas were clean. My son and I visited in February 2026 before the UK school half term which is a quiet season. Only downside for this hotel is I could hear trucks/coaches pulling in to the parking area from around 6am but I am a light sleeper. Good value for money.

It was okay. I really would give 2.5 stars, so I rounded up. You get what you pay for I guess. The rooms are big. The bathroom was a little moldy but you could tell someone cleans it fairly regularly. They only gave 2 regular coffee pods for a 2 person 3 night stay. I asked the front desk for more coffee pods and they never came. I would advise bringing instant coffee if you like your coffee first thing in the morning. The line for the front desk is usually at-least 15 minutes long. Also, some of the lights in the room didn’t work. Had to switch our first room away from the volleyball court cuz people were playing volleyball with loud music at 10PM. Don’t go to the concierge for your “free gift..” it’s just someone trying to sell you a time share. We were able to take the bus for $2 bucks each way to Sea World instead of paying for parking at the park so that was nice.
