2nd stay. Love this resort! Employees were all friendly and helpful. Food choices were better than my last visit and they were good then! Rooms clean without overpowering cleanser smell. Beds comfy! Room in great shape. Fridge is small but cold! Skyliner is on property and thats one of the main reasons we like staying there

Found weed in my room! Tyler, please don’t leave your weed on top of the bathroom vanity at hotels. I asked to speak to a manager about it, who sent a hospitality manager to my room. She said she was sorry and thanks for staying at the pop century and walked away LOL
Otherwise the hotel is okay. Rooms are okay, a little modern. Floors were a little dirty, bed was clean, counters clean, bathroom clean. Coffee machine in the room was gross like many other hotels. Restaurant in the hotel was okay, but very basic and overpriced as expected.
Pool was nice with drink bar adjacent. Arcade was fun for the kids. Not a ton of stuff to do on property except for pool, arcade, and eat.
Property connects to the skyliner in between the art of animation resort.
Overall okay.

As an annual passholder, I get really good deals on Disney resorts, and we visited for MNSSHP and Food and wine. This past trip made it feel like the deal wasn’t worth it. I gave the location four stars since it’s close to every park and it has the Skyliner. I paid $220 a night with AP deal.
Food service was really great, Food quality was basic at best. My daughter ordered a dessert that didn’t seem to have flavor and ended up switching it for a sundae.
My real issue this time was with the rooms. We initially checked into a room on the third floor in the 50s building, and someone either smoked weed in it or smoked cigarettes. I called the front desk and they arranged for us to be moved to a room in the 80s building on the first floor. Once we received the callback stating we were being moved, The cast member offered the excuse that the room was above a smoking section, And as a smoker myself, I had to correct her and be like listen….No one from the smoking section is blowing smoke directly in this third floor room for it to be smelling like that.
Hoping that that would be better in the 80s building, it was because it wasn’t smoked in, but it was dirty. The linens on the beds were questionable, but the beds and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom area and everything else was just gross. Not thoroughly seemed something that a simple Lysol wipe would be able to get rid of.

I recently stayed at this resort for the first time and I loved it. The theme is fun and there is a lot of great energy at this resort. The buses and the skyliner are within close walking distance as is the dining hall. The rooms are a little on the small side, but they have ample room for the little bit of time that you spend in your room.

Recently had a split stay of 2 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and 2 nights at POP Century with a room located in the 50’s section of the resort.
Pros include being conveniently located to the Skyliner along with bus transportation for easy access to parks, Disney Springs, and other resorts like Art of Animation and Caribbean Beach. There is a big food court with plenty of seating and a large retail store with merchandise and snacks/drinks. Parking at the resort is abundant and free if you have a rental car. And, the hotel room was clean, along with the property and excellent staff!
For cons, the two big differences that were felt moving from Animal Kingdom Lodge were room size - POP definitely was smaller, so keep that in mind traveling with families. And, the room itself was quite noisy. My room was an adjoining room and I could clearly hear the couple next door even at a conversational level. Highly recommend requesting a non-adjoining room. Because the hotel has outside entry, the main entry door is also not very sound reducing and can also be rather noisy, especially if you end up located near a pool or common area. My room must have been near some type of maintenance area as there was noise from the maintenance carts basically from about 6am to 11pm each day, with beeping vehicles backing up and banging from loading and unloading often.
Overall, I wouldn’t not stay here again if the price was right, or I was there for a short stay - as how much are you really in your room at Disney World?? But, you do get what you pay for with being an older property in the value category. Since moderate resorts are similar layouts, I would recommend looking at deluxe if your budget allows.
