I liked this hotel. It is a budget-friendly and affordable option, yet neat and clean. The location is very convenient—right on International Drive (I-Drive) and close to Universal Studios. They also provide a shuttle service to Universal, which is very helpful.
There are many nearby places to eat and enjoy, making the stay comfortable and convenient. Overall, it’s a good choice if you’re looking for a clean, economical hotel in a great location.

Pros:
-15 min walk to OCCC South and the walk is quite beautiful, lined with live oaks and Spanish moss
-No resort fee, and relatively inexpensive
-Has a small fitness room with complimentary towels and water
Cons:
-Rooms are out of date, upholstery is peeling, and cleanliness is variable. I had to change rooms because the shower and sink did not drain in my first room, and there was dust on most surfaces, hair in the shower and dirt on the bed. My second room was better in that the drains worked and I did not find hair in the shower, but the other issues remained.
-The walls are quite thin and noise carries. Most rooms face the highway and there is associated noise throughout the night.
-The internet connection was spotty throughout my stay.
-Every morning trash was piled in the stairwell. It was removed by the end of the day.
-When the heat is turned on your fire alarm will go off. It will last a few minutes and turns off on its own, but it is inevitable.
-The heat will invariably turn off to blow cold air during the night. Turn the entire unit off, turn it back on to cool, then set to heat at a lower temp (e.g. 70). Once warm air blows, gradually increase the temp to your desired end point. That is what worked for me.
-The fitness room does not seem to have fans and the sweat smell lingers. I do not know if the room is heated. The tvs on the exercise machines do not work.
-Be warned that if you want to leave your luggage with the hotel when you check out, they will not place your bags for you. They will take you into the holding area and you will need to lift and place your bag yourself. Likewise, when you pick your bag up, they will not retrieve your bag for you. They will take you to the holding area, have you get whichever bags you claim are yours, and will not check your ticket to verify the bag you have taken is your own.
In short, this is more of a motel than a hotel, and it is 3-stars in name only. I would say this is more akin to an extended stay motel and it only deserves a 2-star status.

This is a decent hotel overall and a good value for the price. The rooms—and honestly the property in general—are a bit dated, but everything was clean, which mattered most to me. The room also had a mini fridge and microwave, which was convenient. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. For the price point, this is pretty much what I’d expect, and the location is a big plus since it’s easy to get around to everything. I’d stay again for a last-minute trip when I’m being more budget-conscious.

I have stayed at this hotel every Year for 33 years with the exception of covid. The hotel is in a great location and all the staff are super friendly even the cleaning ladies that do the rooms I have seen a few changes over the years all positive.... I intend to continue to stay at this hotel. If I were asked what could improve the hotel my reply would be new furniture in the bedrooms as it's all in dark wood and Quite worn obviously only cosmetic but it's looks shabby... Maybe when renewed it wanted to be in a lighter shade like beechwood then you would not notice...Also the doors that lead into the bedrooms could do with a quick whizz over with the paint can... However I come from a Hotel back ground so I obviously note these things. But all in all my experience at this hotel has been fantastic 🙂

Last year we stayed the the Rosen shingle for 12 nights and it was amazing, this year we where here for longer (28 nights) so needed to be a bit more careful with the budget. The rosen Inn pointe for the price is fantastic, location and staff are great, rooms a little dated but clean and well maintained and in the same style as the shingle creek. House keeping came all the time. The security staff where always visible and what ever part of the hotel you are in there are always staff around.the complex felt safe and well managed. The zebra bar is great also as are the staff there. Food and service fantastic and in some cases a better deal and quality that the restaurants on international drive. They have 3 good sized pools and they never felt overcrowded. Gym is good and the grounds are very well maintained. I honestly could not find any fault. Its a big site but walking around is pleasant and good to burn calories. Plenty of parking. We would not hesitate to return.
