The hotel was honestly so good. We went as a group for a 40th birthday and the rooms were so clean and beautiful. The staff were so friendly. We had a coordinator called Ibrahim who went over and beyond for everything we needed. Would absolutely be visiting again. Special mention to Peter who took such good care of us all. Beautiful place!!

I had an amazing stay. Beautiful scenery, especially the sunrise over the ocean. Staff are extremely helpful. One of the chefs Yasser, accommodated for my dietary restrictions, big props to him. And Mostafa Gomaa did a wonderful housekeeping job.

The Steigenberger Al Dau Beach is definitely one of the top hotels in Hurghada. The entire resort is extremely clean, well maintained, and beautifully green. The location is excellent, the pools are large and never felt crowded, and the beach area is very pleasant. The hotel offers plenty of space, comfortable and spacious rooms, and a generally luxurious atmosphere. It’s a great choice for both families and couples.
There are also many restaurants available, and guests can use the waterslides at the Aqua Magic Hotel next door, which is a nice extra.
Positive:
• Very clean and well-kept resort
• Great location
• Large pools, not overcrowded
• Beautiful green gardens
• Spacious, comfortable rooms
• Good beach area
• Suitable for families and couples
• Many restaurants
• Luxury feel
• Access to the Aqua Magic waterslides
Negative:
• Activities and excursions sold by hotel staff (boat trips, etc.) are far too expensive. It’s better to look for local alternatives outside the hotel.
• The food is okay, but as almost everywhere in Egypt, stomach issues are quite common — expect some days of diarrhea.
• Some staff members were not very friendly and too aggressive when it came to asking for tips. In a hotel of this category, this should be handled better, and staff definitely need more training.
• Staff selling activities can be quite pushy at times. However, you can hang a red bag on your sunbed (pool or beach) to signal that you do not want to be approached.
Overall:
The overall hotel experience is very good, and the resort is surely among the best in Hurghada. However, if you compare all-inclusive standards, Turkey is still a significantly better choice — the experience simply isn’t comparable.

I spent a relaxed week at the Steigenberger ALDAU Beach Hotel, a place where the Red Sea glows like molten glass at sunrise and the days slide by as softly as warm sand between your fingers.
The resort itself is a gentle paradise: vast lagoon-style pools that invite you to float without thinking, a wide private beach, and rooms that breathe calm with their spacious layouts and crisp housekeeping. Waking up on the balcony with the sea brushing the horizon felt like a daily reset for the soul.
The staff? Warm, attentive, consistently kind. From reception to the beach team, everyone carried that effortless hospitality that makes you feel looked after without being smothered. Dining was also a pleasure — multiple restaurants, generous buffets, and enough variety to keep every evening fresh.
The activities are plentiful: water sports, spa sessions, quiet strolls near the sea, even a playful little pitch-and-putt for a whimsical break. Perfect for a week where you want options but also the freedom to do absolutely nothing.
One thing that didn’t match the hotel’s otherwise high standards was an excursion organized by a tour operator based directly inside the resort. The experience promised a curated, premium adventure — and what we got instead felt rushed, poorly coordinated, and nowhere near the polished, high-quality outing we paid for. Not a disaster, but definitely a mismatch between expectations and reality.
Aside from that, the stay was beautifully smooth.
Overall: a refined, comfortable resort that delivers on relaxation, beauty, and service. I’d easily recommend it to couples and families seeking a serene Red Sea escape. My rating: 4 out of 5 — a lovely slice of sunshine with just one cloud shaped like a disappointing excursion.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the wonderful experience we had during our stay at your beautiful hotel.
The entire resort is exceptionally well designed — spacious, beautifully landscaped with trees, flowers, and greenery, and featuring an impressive pool area that creates a truly relaxing atmosphere. The wide range of activities offered adds even more variety and enjoyment to the stay. Our room was very comfortable, and the beds were especially cozy.
We would also like to commend all your staff members for their friendliness, attentiveness, and hard work. It is clear that your team takes great pride in making every guest feel welcome.
In particular, we would like to express our special thanks to one of your waiters, whose service truly stood out.
His Name is Hussein Mohamed.
He was always extremely polite, attentive, and friendly, with a genuinely positive attitude that made every meal a pleasure. His presence was never intrusive, yet he was always there exactly when needed. We were genuinely happy whenever he was assigned to our table.
Your hotel can be very proud to have such a dedicated, professional, and warm-hearted employee.
With our heartfelt thanks and best regards,
