I spent the last two weeks of the year at StaySky Hotel. Overall, it was a good stay, mainly because of the friendly staff and the ideal location, which made getting around very convenient.
However, the hotel really needs updates. The carpet looks very dirty and smells, the sofa bed is very old and extremely uncomfortable, and all the appliances are outdated. There is also a serious electrical issue—you cannot plug in or use two appliances at the same time without problems. The kitchen equipment was decent, but nothing special.
Unfortunately, room service was very poor. At check-in, I was told housekeeping would be provided every three days, but for the entire first week no one cleaned our room at all. When housekeeping finally came, they did not change the sheets, which was very disappointing for a long stay.
In summary, the location and staff are great, but the hotel needs major renovations and better housekeeping service to truly meet guest expectations.

We are a family of 5, we had a wonderful stay. The bedroom is large and has its own tv. The beds are very comfortable. The sofa bed in the living room is very sturdy, so much so that it was difficult to open. The mattress was a bit hard, but we didn't notice because we fell straight asleep after walking around the parks all day.
Room service was wonderful, Tracey was just excellent, so friendly, helpful and with great tips for getting around Orlando.
Our only complaint would be the wifi, which was was either slow or impossible to connect to. All in all, this is a great hotel. The location is perfect for easy access to International drive and public transport. If we return to Orlando it will be to this hotel

I booked a room here and received a confirmation email. All was well, a week later I received a random cancellation email (not cancelled by me). I called the hotel and they claimed my card was declined so they canceled it (aside from a technical glitch on their end, my card could not have been declined and there is no record of an issue from my bank). I called back immediately only to be told that I would need to rebook on the website, fine, I go to rebook and all the rooms are sold out. Coincidence? I think not, they overbooked their rooms and needed to kick someone out so they used a declined card as an excuse. If my card truly did decline, I should have been able to rebook my same room.
They did not attempt to contact me and speaking with them over the phone lead nowhere, they were unbothered and unwilling to help in any way.
Do not book here, find somewhere else that will maintain your booking.

90% of the rooms are timeshares being rented out through VRBO or Airbnb, and Up stay. the Rates will vary but there are some gorgeous rooms and suites available.
The property itself is undergoing construction atm. I say that because if your booking because of the amenities like the gym do not, recently i stayed and there was no gym. it was 1 factor I considered in my booking to my surprise not a single machine.
The hot tub, was not hot it was warm. but not the temperature you expect in a hot tub. the pool was heated so this was nice. and the basketball court was really nice, I didn't attempt to use the bbq area. The photos for the suites many are stock images. For my suite I was shown a different bathroom/Tub then what I got. And some of the linens in the master bedroom were absent.
My host was active and did offer additional towels midstay. and they do offer a upcharge cleaning service from the location if your staying longer then 3 days. there is a breakfast area but no meals are served. they have an arcade but half the machines are down, or just don't work even after you put a coin in.
But location. location location this is across the street from volcano bay and is only a few blocks down from the parking garages of universal. they also have paid shuttle services available. Icon Park is a walking distance down on international drive. And the new Epic universe is only a 10 min drive from this hotel. if your going to Universal this is 100% an amazing location for those Parks.
It was Quiet, no great views but again I slept well. The Suites were very comfortable.
I did have some minor difficulty checking in. as they have a deposit pre-requisite that I did a week before I even arrived, but for whatever reason it was still needed at time of check in. check your bank statements so your not double charged but you will receive the deposits back. Up stay customer service was very helpful when I booked the room. and the taxes were cheaper then the online quote so I ended up saving about 37 bucks off my booking.
I would Stay here again When i return to Universal. but not for a Disney stay.

I really wish they posted real pictures of the rooms. I was in town for a basketball tournament for a week. The decor is something from the 1970 and I’m being optimistic! The carpet was very old and smelled like a combination of mold and cigar smoke . The exterior hallways smelled horrible and the carpet was very dirty! This could be a great place if it was cleaned and updated! I will say for the price for a week stay I should have know better.
