Rooms are nice and clean. There is also security at the entrance and in the lobby, which is a nice touch.
There were a few downsides:
- There was a mandatory $10 charge for having a car. When shopping for hotel by price, this is a misleading tactic. Why even have it this sneaky charge - there is no shortage of parking in Orlando.
- There is no free coffee in the lobby in the morning. Unusual to not have that. There is a coffee machine with two cups worth of coffee in the room to offset this. I think they don't have free coffee to lean you towards buying their breakfast.
- Internet was spotty, and disconnected multiple times during the two hour call I had. One of the main reasons for me to get the room here was the promise of "high-speed internet". Needed it to be reliable.
- Housekeeping knocking on doors at 9 AM
- Poor insulation around the room entrance door, letting a lot of outside noise into the room through the cracks.

Had a very pleasant stay at the Rosen Inn, Closest to Universal. The place was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The staff was excellent — friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Everything was convenient and well-kept, making our trip to Universal even better. Definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

The hotel is aged and it shows in almost every place you look. The room AC was barely hanging on and could not cool the room. Even with the blinds closed and the room empty, the hallway was much cooler than the room. The bathroom was incredibly small and looked like it had flooded many times over. The wood door and trim had wooden fiber fuzz from water damage and had been spackled and painted many times over. On day 2 of our stay, the cockroaches made their presence known. While I understand it's the south and how hard they are to get rid of, the general poor conditions of the room make it suspect. The only real good thing about this place is that it is 1.5 miles from Universal City Walk and the elevators move very quickly. We got a steep discount on our room and the hotel felt like a discount hotel. I thought being a partner hotel to Universal that there might be some level of quality.
I would recommend staying elsewhere if you can afford it.

I enjoyed my stay at the Rosen Inn Closet to Universal. The room that I stay in was spacious with my favorite amenities such as microwave and fridge. The staff was very welcoming and warm.
Having free shuttle to and from the Universal Studios Resort was a plus and made my time in Orlando so much more enjoyable. There were plenty of food options and attractions near by within walking distance

I have stayed at the Rosen Inn once a year for a the last few years never had a problem. The location is great its quick and easy to get to the parks.
However, this year I started in one room and had ants on my bedside table. I told the lady at the front desk and she had someone clean the room. I was gone all day and came back that evening to find more ants on my bedside table, in the sink, and above the fridge and microwave. I did not have any food left out. I went back to the front desk and reported that there were more ants and I felt I couldn't enjoy my stay. So they were very understanding and moved me to a different room.
The next room, was great for the first day and two nights. Until the morning we were checking out. I had taken a shower and was getting all our luggage together to leave. When I saw there was a German cockroach in the bathroom. In the morning, in the bathroom, with the light on. I hurriedly shook out my bags and clothes, and left. As I was checking out I told the same lady at the desk again. And she said they would let management know.
I don't feel satisfied at all with this. I spent time in the first room worried about ants everywhere, and now I'm worried I'll take a roach home with me. I will not be staying with Rosen Inn again and I'm very disappointed as it seems the quality of this hotel has dropped.
