La Pinta Hovima Beachfront Hotel, what a fantastic stay.
What a fantastic place to stay. We visited the week before Christmas 2025 and couldn’t fault the experience.
From arrival, we were made to feel incredibly welcome by a friendly and conscientious reception team. Despite our flight being delayed, they still ensured we were able to get into the dining room for dinner, which was very much appreciated.
Our room was on the 1st floor: a clean and tidy apartment with a lovely view of the sea and beach from the balcony. It included a basic kitchenette, a pull-out bed, a separate room with two single beds pushed together, and a bathroom with an amazing full-power shower.
Some of the reviews we read commented negatively on the food, which in my opinion is unfair. Portions were not restricted, and the quality and variety of meals throughout our stay were excellent. Breakfast isn’t your typical full English (there’s a café up the hill if that’s what you’re after), but instead offers an impressive selection of local dishes, cooked and continental options, fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts, cold meats and cheeses, plenty of choice for everyone. Lunch again had lots of variety, with fresh fish and rice, as well as potatoes and chips for children. Dinner always has a theme Asian, Indian, English and, of course, Spanish with both hot and cold selections, alongside additional options such as pizza, paella and always delicious desserts. The chefs and waiting staff were outstanding: always present, friendly and happy to help.
The pool is heated, though it will still take your breath away when you first get in! As you relax beside it catching the rays, one thing becomes very noticeable, there is always someone cleaning something. The housekeeping team work tirelessly in the background, keeping everything spotless from top to bottom.
The pool bar staff are equally friendly and helpful. If you’re fully inclusive, snacks are also available; in fact, apart from about one hour, you could eat between roughly 08:00 and 21:00 if you wished.
Finally, this truly is a family hotel, and they absolutely live up to that promise. There is entertainment for both children and adults, though you do need to get involved. There’s a kids’ club from around age 4, running approximately 10:15–17:00, plus a mini film night and mini disco later on. Our daughter is 10 and absolutely loved it, becoming fully immersed in the environment. For us “older children”, there was everything from beer pong and yoga to pool aerobics and even necklace making.
I’d also like to personally recognise some of the fantastic staff (this list isn’t exhaustive, just those I’d especially like to thank):
Entertainment – Daniel, a total star always with a smile, a whistle and a joke.
Kids’ club – Georgia and Amber, thank you for taking such great care of my daughter.
Restaurant – Manuel, for teaching me Spanish while checking in everyday.
Pool bar – Yeray, Stephan and Rebecca, for the constant smiles and endless piña coladas.
Overall, a wonderful hotel in a brilliant beachfront location, with excellent food and genuinely welcoming staff. We would happily return.

I would highly recommend this hotels to families coming to tenerife the hotel is spotless and the location is perfect as you walk down the to ground floor and through a secure gate then you are straight out on to the beach.
The staff are amazing and very welcoming my daughter had never wanted to go into any previous kids clubs but here thats all she wanted to do because the set up is brilliant and they have so much for the kids to do she was so sad when we had to leave. But we will definitely be back here again.

The hotel is great and room was good for use. Never had any issues with cockroaches. Reception staff are a credit, so helpfull and went above and beyond to assist us (lost passports) and guide us to what we had to do. Special mention to Gina. The entertainment was great, kids enjoyed the interactions with the various staff. Food for breakfast lunch and dinner, couldn't fault it, always something to try (as im not fussy). Already booked to come back next year, we may have found the best hotel ever.

Love this place. Have been several times. Last time one receptionist spoiled our experience. We didn't see her this year. And all staff were helpful and pleasant. Gluten free options in restaurant and they also offer to make alternatives if nothing suitable available.
Evening entertainment every night some good some not so good.
Excellent location for beach and shops.
We will be back next year x

First of all, without the friendly staff, this hotel would have only received a maximum of 3 stars from us.
We stayed here for 6 nights.
The biggest positives are definitely the location right on the beach, as well as the shops and activities in the immediate vicinity. The pool was also very well maintained, nicely designed, and pleasantly warm.
In addition, all the staff are very friendly, helpful, and attentive, especially Christof.
We also booked a boat tour through the hotel at a price that was significantly lower than what was offered on the street — thank you for that.
Due to the relatively fair price, we are still giving 4 stars, but there is definitely room for improvement in several areas.
When we checked in, our room was only poorly cleaned, but this was corrected the next day after we reported it.
The hotel advertises a varied, special buffet for children, but on 5 out of 6 nights this consisted of fresh melons and canned fruit; on the other day there was a chocolate fountain with various sweets… in our opinion, questionable.
The buffet itself was varied and okay, but you should not expect any culinary highlights.
It was unfortunate that the outdoor playground was closed on 5 out of 6 days, apparently due to renovation. This was not announced beforehand.
The supervised indoor play area for children under 4 was only open on 3 days.
For one day, we rented a car through the reception. It was parked in the garage by the rental company in the morning, and we handled payment etc. directly with them. We returned the car to the rental company in the evening.
When leaving the parking garage, the hotel told us we had to pay the daily rate of 6 euros.
After I pointed out that this seemed very strange and I didn’t understand the reasoning behind it, we ultimately did not have to pay — but the attempt to charge us still felt very unusual.
All in all, we had a nice holiday, but under these conditions we would probably not return.
