This is our second time to this hotel. We came for the first time last year. It was so lovely we have returned this year. The staff are wonderful. The location perfect. We have the gold level and love the added bonuses that brings. Some form of free exercise everyday and a well equipped gym.

I stayed here for a week with my girlfriend and we had an amazing time from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed with a smile by the receptionist, Sven, who did an excellent job making us feel right at home. The check-in process was smooth and professional.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Gold facilities — everything was clean, modern, and very well maintained. The spa area was a real highlight, and the atmosphere throughout the resort was calm and relaxing.
The entertainment by the pool was fantastic. The animation team brought great energy every day and really went the extra mile to engage with guests, especially during the themed evenings and water activities.
The food was another highlight — every meal offered a wide variety of fresh and delicious options, and the restaurant staff were always attentive and friendly.
All in all, it was a perfect week, and we can’t wait to return.

We had a great stay at Gran Tacande. The rooms and service were excellent. Deyanira at the main desk was fantastic and really helpful.
The rooms with the jacuzzi on the balcony were great and felt really premium. I would highly recommend them over the standard rooms.
Lovely spa on site with decent gym. Table tennis, pool tables and regular tennis courts were a bonus.
Location was perfect, Adeje is a good place to stay with lots to see and do.

As someone who has visited Tenerife regularly over the last 20 years and stayed in many hotels this one is by far the best. The location is amazing, staff are fantastic , everyone always smiling, nothing ever a problem and go the extra mile to make sure your stay is a wonderful experience . The cleanliness is of a very high standard and the food is amazing with something for everyone.
The hotel manager Cristina leads by example and makes sure she makes every guest feel welcome.
Well done to all at this hotel and thank you for another fantastic holiday. Cant wait to return again .

We stayed at Gran Tacande Costa Adeje for 10 days in early July and overall had a lovely experience. The hotel is in a fantastic location — close to the beach and restaurants — and the facilities were spotless throughout. The food was good with a wide variety of options, and the staff were mostly friendly, helpful, and welcoming.
However, there were a few frustrations that took away from the experience. Most notably, we booked and paid full price only to be informed after booking that the main pool would be closed for maintenance during our entire stay. This wasn’t disclosed at the time of booking, and despite the significant disruption, the hotel did not adjust the price — which felt, with two children, unfair given the reduced offering.
Additionally, on one morning I arrived at the San Sebastián Plaza at 10:10am (which officially opens at 10:00am), only for everyone there to be asked to leave by a manager so cleaning could be completed. If an area is advertised as open from 10am, it should be fully ready for use at that time.
Another point worth mentioning — we had the Gold package, which includes complimentary soft drinks, coffee, etc., at the San Sebastián Plaza. However, if we wanted to bring the kids to the secondary pool on the ground floor, those benefits didn’t carry over and we had to pay for them. It would make sense for the hotel to offer a Gold package identifier (e.g. wristband or card) that allows access to those same soft drinks etc. in other pool areas — especially for families and people who want to move between different parts of the hotel.
In summary, while the hotel has a lot to offer — great location, clean facilities, good food, and generally nice staff — the issue around the pool closure and lack of consistency with package benefits let it down slightly.
Would recommend, but with caution: check in advance that key facilities are open.
Losing one star due to the issue of charging full price for no use of the main pool.
