We recently stayed at Fuerteventura Princess and overall had a really good experience.
The food presentation was very good, and there was plenty of choice. Drinks were easy to access throughout the day with self-serve pumps for soft drinks like Coke, which made the all-inclusive really convenient. The free WiFi was excellent — accessible everywhere from our room to the pool and worked really well (a rare find in many hotels!).
Our room felt modern and clean. Some reviews mentioned the need for upgrading, but ours certainly didn’t feel outdated. The only negatives were a few ants around the bath/shower. The shower kept fluctuating between very hot and very cold which is very dangerous. Housekeeping was good, though sometimes a bit early in the morning.
We spent most of our time in the pool near the kids’ pool. It was more shallow but also much warmer, which made it lovely to relax in. The hotel’s web-based app was also really handy for finding information and planning.
The only real letdown was the evening entertainment inside, which wasn’t great compared to the rest of the experience.
Overall, a lovely stay with great food, modern rooms, and excellent WiFi — a few small improvements and it would be a solid 5-star review.

The hotel area itself is quite nice. The gardens are clean and well maintained, and the location close to the beach is pleasant. However, the buildings definitely need some renovation — paint is peeling, and several things are broken. The rooms, at least on the Esencia side, are fairly clean but rather old-fashioned and in need of various repairs. That might simply be part of the Spanish style. For example, just today while showering, only ice-cold water came out.
The food is generally okay ( not good) but very industrial. Large quantities of cakes are made from pre-made bases, and everything left over after meals seems to be thrown away after dinner. Most of the meat dishes are tough and not very enjoyable to eat. Unfortunately, about half of our group became ill with a stomach bug during the stay. Based on other reviews, it seems there may be some issues with certain food items. We lost three days of our holiday because of this.
Some of the staff members were friendly — I had nice conversations with the lifeguards and a few restaurant employees. Unfortunately, many others don’t greet guests, say thank you, or even make eye contact when taking orders.
Although many reviews mention cockroaches and other pests, we didn’t see any signs of them anywhere on the hotel grounds during our entire stay. The pools are clean, though one has a strange rubber-like surface. It doesn’t affect swimming, but it looks a bit unappealing.
Overall, it’s a very basic hotel, at best three stars rather than four. It’s fine for a holiday if your expectations are modest, but definitely nothing more than that.

A fantastic stay from start to finish! The resort is spotless — rooms are cleaned daily and everything feels well cared for. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, from reception to the restaurant and bar teams. There’s plenty of space to relax, great amenities, and more than enough bars and dining areas to keep everyone happy.
The location couldn’t be better — right by a beautiful beach that’s perfect for morning walks or sunset dips. Essentia is a lovely extra touch if you’re after a bit more calm and relaxation.
☀️ Nice to know: The beach path nearby is ideal for evening strolls with the family.
🍹 Tip: Treat yourself to the Essentia upgrade — it adds that little touch of serenity.
All in all, a wonderful experience — highly recommended!

This was an all inclusive holiday and we had the good fortune to be upgraded to Esencia.
My friend and I had separate rooms and both had great views. The food was amazing with great variety of choice at every meal.
We loved the fact that they were so environmentally friendly and applaud the way they clear up/clean so efficiently. The staff are amazing! Great atmosphere at the Sports Bar in the evening and lots of entertainment both for children and adults. We did enjoy the adult only zones best. Can recommend the hot stone massage and facial at the Spa too.
This is the most relaxing holiday we have ever had and will be back next June!

The hotel is large and built on the side of a hill so almost every activity / meal involved walking up or down a hill (quite steep in places). The bedroom was large and comfortable with all the facilities I needed. The pool areas were great and I found no problem obtaining a sunbed each day and appreciated the pool towels, the bar service with no queuing the separate adult area and the availability of Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. However, my main concern was the main restaurant (‘Food Market’). The food cooked ‘on demand’ was usually good though often too many portions were kept warming on the side of the hotplate. However, the self-service ‘hot’ food was, at best, lukewarm. The overhead heating bulbs did little to keep the food warm. All the restaurant staff seemed to have their individual tasks but the was no evidence of anyone in overall charge maintaining an up-to-the-minute overview. For example: at breakfast most days the orange juice machines were 'out of service', the coffee machines often broke down and sometimes there was no sliced bread whatsoever available for toast. It should not be up to me to point these things out to staff only to receive a shrug that nothing could be done. Food labelling was often less than helpful. 'A selection of vegetables' or 'A selection of cheeses' etc. did little to provide any information nor help me identify foods or ingredients that would severely affect my allergies. A floor / restaurant manager on permanent duty around the restaurant is urgently needed.
A disappointing experience leading me to cancel my two upcoming bookings to this same hotel.
