Fantastic Stay at Flamingo Beach Mate – Highly Recommend!
We had an amazing stay at Flamingo Beach Mate and couldn't be happier with our choice. The hotel was spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained throughout. We stayed in a 1-bedroom apartment, which was spacious, modern, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing holiday.
What truly made our stay special was the staff – they were absolutely tremendous. Every single person we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after. Their friendliness and helpfulness really stood out.
The pool area is lovely – clean, well-organized, and best of all, there was no need to fight for sun loungers! It was always a peaceful and enjoyable space to relax.
Breakfast each morning was another highlight, with a great variety of options to suit all tastes. Everything was fresh and well-prepared.
Overall, Flamingo Beach Mate is a fabulous hotel and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stress-free, enjoyable stay. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed at Flamingo Beach Mate in Adeje, Tenerife for 10 days with friends, booking two rooms for a total of over €4,500.
Unfortunately, our stay was severely impacted by non-stop, extremely loud renovation works, something we were never informed about beforehand.
It became quickly clear that major construction was happening right next to our room, which happened to be the largest and most expensive suite in our booking.
Workers were using heavy demolition tools like jackhammers all day long, causing the floors and walls in our room to literally shake.
Each day the noise became worse, as the work progressed closer to our room and by mid-week, there was nothing but a gaping hole separating our room from the construction site.
We were traveling with our young daughter, who could sometimes use a quiet afternoon nap after busy days, but rest was pretty much impossible.
The worst moment came when both my partner and daughter fell ill after a boat trip. My partner also suffered a severe migraine after this and desperately needed rest. But on that day, the demolition continued even louder and lasted until 7 PM. It was hellish.
You’d expect that for this kind of money, your hotel room would at least be a peaceful retreat. But reading a book or even taking a shower in our room was unbearable, as the bathroom was the noisiest spot due to the echoing concrete.
The noise was not limited to our rooms either. The construction site was just a few meters from the hotel pool and bar area, so even sunbathing or relaxing by the pool came with the constant sound of drilling and hammering in the background.
We addressed the issue at reception, but were told: “Yes, there are renovations, but we can’t stop them, the rooms need to be finished as soon as possible.”
So… it’s our problem?
They offered one alternative room, but it didn’t suit our group and lacked the large balcony we had specifically chosen to enjoy with our friends.
No compensation of any kind was offered!?!
We later spoke to the manager, who simply said “sorry I cannot really do anything” and told us we had to take up any complaints with Booking.com, despite having paid the full amount on-site, directly to the hotel.
I guess what upset us the most is the complete lack of transparency.
There was no mention of any construction at the time of booking, no warning email before arrival, no message on their website and not even a heads-up at check-in.
We were actually specifically told we had a “beautiful room.”
How do you forget to mention that just one door away, there’s a full-blown demolition project going on??
Even something as simple as: “We’re sorry, there may be some disturbance due to renovations, would you prefer to switch rooms at a discount?” would have shown a bit of decency.
But instead, they chose to stay silent and let us find out the hard way.
We have since been told via Booking.com that the hotel refuses to offer any form of compensation.
Absolutely unacceptable and deeply disappointing!!
We paid a premium expecting peace and comfort, but ended up with the soundtrack of a construction site.
I’m sharing videos in this review to show just how bad it really was, we are not exaggerating.
*We give stars for the friendly and helpful staff and the nice view. It’s a shame it’s all overshadowing by the inhuman higher ups.

The hotel itself is lovely, very nicely laid out and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was very good, mostly the same each day but with lots of variety.
The rooms are large and spacious and the kitchens are very well equipped. The beds however are hard as rock and for this reason and another I would not return.
We had an issue with our room and the customer service was good on this and they moved us to another room, with a partial sea view which was nice, it also had a slightly softer bed and a better sofa bed. Although the bathroom in the new room was smelly!
The other reason I wouldn't return is that I left an iphone there and, despite being willing to pay for all shipping costs and insurance, the hotel will not send it back to me. They have verified it is mine but say I have to get it picked up. I have tried multiple couriers (including a local one they recommended) and cannot find one that will pick up from there and send it to me, so unless I can get a person to pick it up I cannot get it back. They spoke to manager and still same answer, they will package it to be collected but will not send it. I could get Fedex to do it but would cost a fortune.

Fabulous hotel, 1 bed apt was huge, full oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, all pots, pans, kitchen utensils, dish cloth and washing up liquid, tea towel, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, hair dryer, shower gel/shampoo, body lotion and soap all in our apt. Free air conditioning and safe in room. Pool towels provided. Didn't have sunbed wars, went in May 2025.
Close to beach, promenade and shops.
Breakfast there is a huge choice and buffet style, all extremely fresh
Absolutely cannot fault this hotel. All staff friendly and helpful.

We stayed for 10 days in a premium apartment with sea view. We paid 500€ per night and expected more from this hotel than what we got. Rooms were fine, food was average but one of our toilet had a sewage-like smell during our 10 days stay. We informed the staff early (3 times in total) but without an option to relocate room or any compensation. Not a great standard nor service.
