We stayed in a deluxe junior suite for three nights with our two children (2 & 10). It's really hard to fault the hotel. The room was superb and had diving doors to separate off the kids beds. Both the bath and shower was for two and had lots of space. There was a bottle of cava waiting for our arrival and water was replenished daily along with a different sweet treat every day. The breakfast was really good quality and there's a small bar downstairs in the lobby. The pool is small but was quiet when we stayed and there's a small pool bar too. The slide in the lobby was a really unique feature and the kids loved it! It was a short walk to the old town of around 20 minutes but there were plenty of bars and restaurants close by and the hotel is actually connected to the train station so there are shops, restaurants and a supermarket on your doorstep. Great for a trip to Malaga.

Sleek and modern hotel close to the city centre. With a 20min walk you can easily reach the cathedral, and in 15min in the other direction you get to the seaside. Very spacious rooms, especially the bathroom that had a huge walk-in shower. The room was very clean too and the beds comfortable. The breakfast hall stays open for a long time (7:30-10:30, during the weekend 8:00-11:00) and has good products. Our flight was late and we checked in at 1am, but the staff was instantly ready to welcome us.

We really enjoyed our stay at Barcelo Málaga. Check in was super simple, rooms were clean and had all the necessary services and more than you could ask for. All staff were lovely as well. We stayed for 3 nights with Breakfast included. The location is perfect for anyone using the train station (we travelled to Madrid the next day) and is only about a 15-20 minutes walk to the town centre.
The only thing I would say is that the rooftop bar closes at 7pm. You can still order drinks from the downstairs bar but I feel like this is a missed opportunity for a nice sit out area at night for guests staying at the hotel who don't fancy going to town. Maybe some live music on the weekend would go a long way to give it abit of atmosphere. It just felt a little out of place otherwise...
I would 100% stay again if visiting Málaga however!

Great hotel and we had the best night's sleep I've ever had in a hotel.
The mattress and pillows were so comfortable.
Attention to detail goes above and beyond at this hotel.
Little extras in the room like mini cosmetics kit, shoe shine kit, sewing kit, dressing gowns and slippers, steamer etc, all lovely extras at no extra cost.
Room was nicely decorated and it wasn't a "cheaply" made room. Even the waste paper bin was of good quality and the room safe was a decent size.
Room was quite. No noise from the outside and we where at the front of the building.
Pool, terrace area, bar and restaurant are lovely areas to sit and chill.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and almost all of the staff really made an effort to make sure your stay was a memorable one.
The slide in the reception area brought a lot of smiles and giggles.
Highly recommend a stay here. We have since been on the Barcelo website to see where else they have hotels.

Fantastic hotel!!! 🤩🤩 We absolutely loved it here, right next to the train station, 10 min walk to the centre, bus stop right outside- fabulous location. The breakfast was one of the best I've been to, so many healthy options which is amazing to see. Rooms lovely bright and clean, staff very nice, gym and sauna brilliant! Will return here without doubt. 😁
