A superb hotel with so much going on from the biggest range of high-quality food in a buffet to a highly equipped gym with superb ocean views while you work out! The staff are excellent and very friendly and make the stay here both relaxing and fun. The pools are great for chilling or getting your lengths in and the sun loungers are crucially very comfortable. A real luxury hotel where the attention to detail on the small things makes all the difference to making your stay feel luxury. The views from the balconies whichever side of the hotel you're on but you probably won't need to spend much time in your room anyway with plenty to do around the hotel with planned activities, shows, and being just metres from the seafront and a short walk into the local town. Would highly recommend.

Excellent hotel - deserving of the rave reviews. Fantastic entrance when you walk in, beautiful real plants all over that are taken care of exceptionally. Welcome drink on arrival is a nice touch and found staff generally helpful and efficient. Very grateful to have been given a free upgrade on arrival to sea view rooms on the top floor, the views were stunning. Rooms tastefully decorated and very clean.
Good selection of food particularly at breakfast, love the selection of fresh fruits and the bread is absolutely delicious! My only gripe is I personally found some of the dinner very bland, e.g. grilled meats have no salt or pepper, curry did not have much spice but totally understand they're trying to cater for everyone. Loved the ice cream at dinner - very good quality. They were also fantastic with allergies, far better than previous hotels I have stayed in. The Chef would go round and personally say which dish a member of the party could/ could not have. I also think it would be nice if they had the homemade pizza every evening/ more frequently as it was very popular.
Great facilities- especially love the heated pool and jacuzzi features!
Entertainment was good, drinks service in the evening can be slow however.
Lovely selection of drinks. Cocktails made with fresh fruits etc...
Nice to stay in a hotel that is in Canarian hands with a vision for sustainable tourism, liked use of water fountains to minimise plastic bottle use. Wish them best success in the future with now 6 hotels as part of their collection.

We have returned to this hotel for a second year. Stunning hotel, beautiful facilities, extremely clean, lovely rooms. Only pitfall is the friendliness of some of the reception staff - even though this is our second year to return, a hand full of the staff have been incredibly rude at times. This is our only complaint, all of the other staff in the hotel such as the staff in the bar, restaurant and cleaners are lovely.

Absolutely fantastic stay at Arona Gran Hotel!
My friends and I had the most amazing time at Arona Gran Hotel in Tenerife. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with breath-taking views that made every morning special.
The service was top-notch, staff were always friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food was excellent, with plenty of delicious options to choose from (we only had breakfast included). We especially enjoyed the variety and quality at the buffet!
The location couldn’t be better, just a short walk to the seaside, and really close to great restaurants, bars, and local amenities. It made exploring and enjoying the area so easy.
The pool area was a dream, perfect for relaxing under the sun.
Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in Tenerife. We will definitely be coming back!
Special big thanks to Amanda for making our stay even more memorable!

Currently on what can only be described as the holiday from hell.
On the lunchtime of my fiancé’s birthday, I had booked a special restaurant meal. We spent the morning at the pool and came back to shower, only to find housekeeping had left no towels. By the time we noticed, it was too late to get them from reception and still be ready in time. I had to cancel the booking I’d planned in advance — on his birthday. What should have been a happy, memorable day became stressful and deeply upsetting. Later, when I explained, reception were dismissive, unapologetic, and seemed oblivious to how significant this was. Their rudeness ruined the day and left me genuinely heartbroken.
Service elsewhere was no better. On two separate nights at the piano bar, the first time we were told “just a moment” and then left waiting fifteen minutes while staff joked with each other. The second time we were simply ignored, perhaps in retaliation for previous complaints. Both times we left for another bar where drinks cost a third of the price and we were served instantly. If you want a drink, leave the hotel.
The gym might be well equipped, but at weekends the place falls apart. I signed up for a Sunday yoga class, only for no teacher to turn up. Four people came in assuming I was the instructor and kept asking when I’d start. I ended up doing my own practice while others wandered in from the main gym asking me where the towels were because they’d run out. With no staff around, the whole thing felt chaotic and completely mismanaged.
I would never recommend anyone stays here.
