Just came home from staying at the gran arona hotel. The hotel is beautiful and rooms are very spacious and beds are very comfortable. Our rooms were cleaned daily which was appreciated. The housekeeping ladies were so nice and friendly. We had a mishap at the start of our holiday, we were overbooked and had to stay in another hotel but both staff were very accommodating and kind. The staff (especially dining) aren’t very friendly. We did feel as though we couldn’t ask any questions because of dismissive responses but I’m also not sure they could understand our accents (we are Irish). We did have an incident with one lady at dinner who yelled at my partner in Spanish for using his napkin to wipe his spilled food off the table. I do wish I reported this to the front desk as I was extremely embarrassed and upset to be yelled at in front of people at dinner. She then was clearly telling other servers at dinner who were giving us dirty looks along with her. We were also very disappointed that in order to get to the roof pool you must pay €85. With the amount of money we are already paying I think that is a disgrace. And if that is advertised on the website it’s not advertised clearly. Over all we had a great time and the best part was just sitting on the comfy pool loungers and then going for a swim to cool off.

Arona Gran Hotel – Tenerife Review
Great location, clean hotel, and excellent staff — always fast, kind, and helpful. Rooms are spacious and luxurious, with both shower and bath. The lobby is beautiful with a real jungle vibe from well-kept plants.
However, there are areas for improvement: sun beds are taken by 7am and the policy isn’t enforced; food and coffee are average; air conditioning weak; balcony furniture dated; safe charged extra; TV locked to an app not available in Ireland; WiFi poor; no private parking; bar payments only via room number; no vending machines for late snacks. Entertainment is loud, repetitive, and not very inclusive.
On the positive side, drink prices are fair, water fridges on every floor are a big plus, and the live piano each evening is wonderful. The shopping gallery and Dino Market nearby are also very convenient.
Overall: 3.5/5. A lovely hotel with potential, but several details need improvement to truly match its 4-star rating.

I stayed in this hotel for one week. I had never been to Tenerife before and I have to say the hotel was beautiful. I do feel the rooms do not match the expectations of the hotel itself, however that would not prevent me from staying here again. The rooms were nice and clean. We were advised at reception that we got upgraded, however, we got exactly what we paid for, so we couldn’t really complain. The hotel is absolutely stunning. It is huge. There are 3 pools, they are the perfect temperature. Plenty of sunbeds, although you would need to go down at about 7/8am to get a decent one. Again there are plenty ! The entertainment was a hit and miss. Some nights were fantastic and some weren’t amazing. This could be due to our taste, it may be for someone else! On our first night the entertainment act brought me up on stage and made me dance, I was mortified but myself and my partner got such a laugh out of it for the entire holiday l. Another night my partner was brought up on stage and made dance, he loved the attention!! Overall really nice hotel, nice quiet area. Very relaxing. I forgot to mention the breakfast was insane! They had everything you can think of from hot food to bread, pastries, fruit, juices and sweet treats. Really really pleased with how our stay went. The staff were also very lovely and friendly!!!

A superb hotel with so much going on from the biggest range of high-quality food in a buffet to a highly equipped gym with superb ocean views while you work out! The staff are excellent and very friendly and make the stay here both relaxing and fun. The pools are great for chilling or getting your lengths in and the sun loungers are crucially very comfortable. A real luxury hotel where the attention to detail on the small things makes all the difference to making your stay feel luxury. The views from the balconies whichever side of the hotel you're on but you probably won't need to spend much time in your room anyway with plenty to do around the hotel with planned activities, shows, and being just metres from the seafront and a short walk into the local town. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic stay at Arona Gran Hotel!
My friends and I had the most amazing time at Arona Gran Hotel in Tenerife. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with breath-taking views that made every morning special.
The service was top-notch, staff were always friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food was excellent, with plenty of delicious options to choose from (we only had breakfast included). We especially enjoyed the variety and quality at the buffet!
The location couldn’t be better, just a short walk to the seaside, and really close to great restaurants, bars, and local amenities. It made exploring and enjoying the area so easy.
The pool area was a dream, perfect for relaxing under the sun.
Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in Tenerife. We will definitely be coming back!
Special big thanks to Amanda for making our stay even more memorable!
