My boyfriend and I recently traveled here to celebrate our anniversary and visit family. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff was so helpful and friendly and made us feel at home! Erika and Jose in the breakfast buffet were stand out stars, making sure we settled in properly and offering a warm smile and greeting every morning. The front desk staff, whose names I regrettably did not get, were always kind and willing to help.
They are also located in a city area with plenty of restaurants and sights to see within walking distance. Historic Center is a 10-minute walk away with some beautiful architecture and amazing spots to eat. Anything within Las Palmas is within a 15-minute drive, and if you're looking to explore the rest of the island it's within an easy hour drive at most.
The rooms are definitely dated, and in need of renovation. However, being a Marriott employee myself, I understand renovations can be out of hotel staff's control. We did have some issues with the room we checked into the first night of our stay - TV not working and no water in the shower. The staff was completely understanding and immediately moved us to a different room right next door with everything in good condition and cool A/C.
Overall, the staff is doing the best they can with what they have. I would absolutely stay here again!

The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. The facility is decent at the price point, and the offerings and food are excellent. If it were not for the following issue my review would easily be 5/5.
The bed is extremely firm, firmer than some carpeted floors I've laid on. The pillows are also many sleeps part their end of life and offer very poor support.
This has resulted in my neck and back being in crippling pain that's brought me to tears multiple times already; I do have a joint disorder but I've never had this kind of pain from hotel bedding before. I nearly passed out multiple times tonight from the pain of trying to move it stretch out and I'm going to need to buy a pillow and hopefully some other means of dealing with this pain.
I'm also going to alert the staff but this is the kind of issue that they aren't going to be able to fix easily; when pillows at a hotel aren't replaced frequently to keep them fit for use it's a management level cost saving measure and not a staff negligence issue. 4/4 of my room pillows are bad; there likely aren't any good pillows in the building with that rate of failure.

Stayed for a week in January with family.
We were not too pleased with the hotel. Bathrooms were worn out. One or two cockroaches and a cockroach egg in the bathrooms. When noticed, staff was not too understanding. They didn't offer any help but we had our rooms changed when asked. (Beware of the stinky smell in the bathroom, I think it was a sign of cockroaches. I saw a cockroach at the airport bathroom too - seem to be a bit of a problem there.) Otherwise the staff was friendly. Some of the room doors were not closing well. Air-conditioning in the rooms was not very effective.
Beds and pillows were good. Public areas in the hotel were modern, including the rooftop pool area. Breakfast was good, but the dining area was very crowded on the morning. For the rest of the week we chose local cafe's for breakfast instead. Location was good. Accessible public transport, we didn't use taxi's at all.

Helpful and kind staff, rooms have everything the one can wish for, great buffet breakfast with so many options and quality food. Near the mane bus station in San Telmo which is very convenient to go anywhere.

Stayed over for 3 nights and I must say very good . Staff is exceptionally friendly , welcoming and helpful , beds and mattresses are comfy and clean . Yes it’s not a brand new establishment but location is great and easy to access by car , with convenient parking in front (free on weekends) . Since they weren’t any I’ve attached pictures of the gym that by the way is a delight with those views. All in all I’ve enjoyed my stay .
