✅ What works 👍
• The hotel offers modern, spacious rooms with minibar, air-conditioning and private bathroom. Some rooms have sea- or harbour-views.
• Top-floor features stand out: there’s a rooftop pool + solarium and a gym with sea / city views, which many guests appreciate for relaxing or a light workout.
• The hotel is well located: close to the port/marina, and within walking distance (or a short taxi/bus ride) to the city’s historic centre (triangular zone of old town / old city) and to shops/restaurants — convenient if you want to explore Las Palmas on foot.
• Many reviews highlight friendly and helpful staff, and overall a “clean, decent and comfortable” stay.
⚠️ What to be aware of / where it falls short 👇
• Although rooms are modern, some guests find them a bit basic / impersonal, following the typical “chain-hotel style” rather than a charming boutique-hotel vibe.
• Some reviewers mention noise issues: e.g. rooms near elevators or hallways can be noisy, and traffic noise outside may be noticeable depending on room location.
• A few complain about maintenance / aging of certain facilities (bathrooms, floors) or lack of consistent upkeep, which can make part of the hotel feel a bit “tired.”
• The hotel is better suited for city stays or business trips than for beach-focused vacations: beaches are not within walking distance — you’ll need public transport or a short drive.
🎯 For whom is it good / less ideal
• Good for: travelers looking for a clean, modern, comfortable stay in central Las Palmas; people visiting for business or city tourism; guests who value convenience, practical amenities and decent views.
• Less ideal for: travelers hoping for a beach-resort feel or a “holiday-hotel by the sea,” or those seeking a historic/charming atmosphere rather than a standardized hotel experience.
My take: AC Hotel Iberia Las Palmas is a solid mid-to-upper tier hotel: nothing glamorous or boutique, but reliable, practical and comfortable. It works especially well if you plan mostly to explore Las Palmas city, want easy access to port/old town, and appreciate a rooftop pool + city-view gym. If your main aim is beach-time or a “relax & resort” vibe — you might want to consider a hotel closer to a beach rather than right in the city.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay here.
The entire hotel was spotless, the room was comfortable and spacious and the facilities and amenities were excellent.
We ate breakfast every day in the hotel and it was excellent, with a great selection of cold meats and cheeses, spanish omelet, sausages / bacon, bread and pastries and fresh fruit as well as eggs to order.
We ate in the restaurant twice and both times the food was excellent, the service in the restaurant and bar is fantastic.
Every member of staff who we met was absolutely wonderful., we can't wait to come back in March.

My boyfriend and I recently traveled here to celebrate our anniversary and visit family. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff was so helpful and friendly and made us feel at home! Erika and Jose in the breakfast buffet were stand out stars, making sure we settled in properly and offering a warm smile and greeting every morning. The front desk staff, whose names I regrettably did not get, were always kind and willing to help.
They are also located in a city area with plenty of restaurants and sights to see within walking distance. Historic Center is a 10-minute walk away with some beautiful architecture and amazing spots to eat. Anything within Las Palmas is within a 15-minute drive, and if you're looking to explore the rest of the island it's within an easy hour drive at most.
The rooms are definitely dated, and in need of renovation. However, being a Marriott employee myself, I understand renovations can be out of hotel staff's control. We did have some issues with the room we checked into the first night of our stay - TV not working and no water in the shower. The staff was completely understanding and immediately moved us to a different room right next door with everything in good condition and cool A/C.
Overall, the staff is doing the best they can with what they have. I would absolutely stay here again!

Everything is amazing, reasonably priced, very friendly and helpful staff! One disadvantage was the tub 😂 somehow there are something in the way no matter which way you lie down in the tub. Other than that, everything is good!

The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. The facility is decent at the price point, and the offerings and food are excellent. If it were not for the following issue my review would easily be 5/5.
The bed is extremely firm, firmer than some carpeted floors I've laid on. The pillows are also many sleeps part their end of life and offer very poor support.
This has resulted in my neck and back being in crippling pain that's brought me to tears multiple times already; I do have a joint disorder but I've never had this kind of pain from hotel bedding before. I nearly passed out multiple times tonight from the pain of trying to move it stretch out and I'm going to need to buy a pillow and hopefully some other means of dealing with this pain.
I'm also going to alert the staff but this is the kind of issue that they aren't going to be able to fix easily; when pillows at a hotel aren't replaced frequently to keep them fit for use it's a management level cost saving measure and not a staff negligence issue. 4/4 of my room pillows are bad; there likely aren't any good pillows in the building with that rate of failure.
