Our home for this trip.
The resort is located between Dreams and Secrets.
They are shutting down at the end of the month so it wasn’t top notch service. Front desk was not very accommodating when we asked for an upgrade when checking in. We were ready to pay but I think they are shutting down areas getting ready for the refresh.
Service at the Mexican restaurant was the best.
Much praise to Glenda and Antonio for the extra attention. Jesus the ceramic guy by the bar is a great afternoon break.
The beach and snorkeling right there was perfect.
The bar was was easy to get to and never busy.
If you are looking for Super upscale this is not your place. Who knows what it will be like when they shutdown and reopen. It was perfect for us

Recently stayed at Sunscape Sabor Cozumel Resort for a vacation with family. Overall, most of the staff were friendly and welcoming, especially the bartenders and the baristas. The open bar was definitely a highlight, and I stopped by the café daily for coffee in the morning. Bonus, they also have ice cream!
Unfortunately, the sit-down lunch and dinner experiences were frustrating. It often took 30 to 45 minutes to get our meals after placing our orders, which made it hard to enjoy. It felt like the kitchen and wait staff were understaffed. While the servers were doing their best, many times our waters weren’t refilled unless we flagged someone down.
The rooms were okay, but there were too many drain flies, which was off-putting and took away from the comfort of the stay.
If you're going mostly to relax, enjoy the drinks, and soak up the sun, this place has all of it, but don’t expect quick meal service or spotless accommodations.

First, location is beautiful. However, I’m given this resort 2 stars because of the service with the exception of 3 waiters/servers (Antonio) they treated us very well, but The food was awful. I believe it has been the worst I’ve had at an all inclusive resorts. For days, they had the same menu. It never changed. It got boring really quick. One day we ordered food, it took over an hour to get our food. In addition, it is not very kid friendly like other all inclusive hotels. The beds were not comfortable at all. The air conditioner was always leaking which my child fell (from the water dripping) but thankfully didn’t get hurt. We told them about it, but maintenance said to keep the temp. at 23 degrees C (73 degrees F) so it would not leak. It’s a hot/humid place, really.

I have stayed here many times. This will be the last. They no longer allow dining at any restaurants outside of Sunscape. Previously we enjoyed the buffet at the sister property next door. The front desk staff was only interested in getting us to upgrade and have a timeshare presentation to be able to use the additional restaurants. It is now $10 per day per person to use the pier. Service at the restaurants was very poor. Multiple times we had to ask to receive water or Coke. One dining experience we had to go to the bar to get our own drinks because they were never brought after multiple requests. Menu selections are very limited and don't change much throughout the week. Even with the menu selections being limited often times menu items were not available because they had run out. Our incoming flight was delayed and we had to check in a day late. Sunscape refused a refund of the one day even though I called to tell them about our flight issue. Management denied our request for a refund for one day. We put in two requests to have our toilet fixed and our refrigerator fixed. We finally were able to get them to come after 10:00 p.m. to look at both. The toilet was never fixed. It continually ran unless we jiggled the handle and it squealed every time it was filling up. The refrigerator needed to be replaced because it wasn't keeping our drinks cold. They finally brought a replacement after 11:00 p.m. They do have a nice beach and the rooms are peacefully quiet. To bad that the customer service and support are lacking.

Sunscape was both action-packed and energizing in the public areas, while quiet and serene for most people's private rooms. The staff were very kind, the experience guides were excellent and helped us add adventure to our stay, but the food, except desserts, was generally only competent.
My wife and I felt like we needed to leave the resort to have truly excellent dinner experiences.
The rooms are good enough but do not have bathtubs. They were generally places to sleep, not places to be.
