We stayed at this hotel as a family of four. The property itself is stunning — beautifully maintained with immaculate gardens and heated pools that were perfect for relaxing. There was a great variety of food available, with plenty of options suitable for children, which we really appreciated.
Unfortunately, a few serious incidents overshadowed what could have been a wonderful holiday. On our first evening in one of the restaurants, my husband bit into a stone that had been left in the rice and, as a result, lost half a tooth. We were disappointed by the lack of acknowledgement and received no compensation for what was a very upsetting experience.
While not all staff were unfriendly — our housekeeper, for example, was absolutely lovely — we generally found the service to be lacking warmth and professionalism. On one occasion, we ordered a lemonade for our son, and thankfully he noticed it tasted unusual. We quickly realised it contained alcohol. When we raised this with the bar staff member who prepared it, there was no apology or sense of accountability, and the response felt dismissive and rude.
These incidents unfortunately put a real dampener on our stay. With better attention to detail and improved customer service training, this hotel could truly match the beauty of its surroundings. Sharm El Sheikh itself is a beautiful destination with gorgeous weather, but based on our experience, I’m not sure we would choose to return to this particular hotel.

Stayed in top hotels all over the World and wasn’t sure what to expect but this hotel for holidaying is right up there with the best.
The hotel is amazingly clean and the gardens are manicured to perfection. The hotel is large but has lots of quiet spaces to relax. It is well staffed and service is 5 star, quick, efficient and courteous.
Food is fabulous and speciality restaurants offer traditional cuisine to a high standard.
I especially like the ice creams, drinks by the pool and good range of spirits. All part of the ‘all inclusive’ package.
Not really any negatives but a couple of points to note: 1. Mini fridge in rooms should not be charged for (all inclusive throughout the hotel bars so what is the point??). 2. There should be designated smoking points ( Smokers could smoke on the terrace of Hama where people are eating and should be well away from diners.
Our room housekeeper was brilliant and kept our room spotless and provided us with everything we needed (4145).
Weather, food, ambiance and friendly service is great! We’re coming back again next year!!

We had a fantastic stay at Steigenberger Alcazar. Everything was excellent from start to finish. The food was outstanding with plenty of variety and high quality options every day. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and always happy to help, especially Katya and Janyar. The hotel is beautiful, very clean and well organised. We felt truly looked after and would definitely return. Highly recommended.

Restaurant Amoura - Lebanese. Absolutely excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. Vegan options. Meat from the outdoor grill was incredible. Like the entire hotel, the staff work incredibly hard and the service is great. 100% would return and recommend.

The swim-up room was absolutely amazing – spacious, comfortable, and having direct access to the pool made our stay extra special.
