Good hotel and amazing service! A bit dated in some areas, but the staff makes up for the small defects of the hotel.
We loved the heated pool and our favorite life guard Ahmed! The views from the beach are gorgeous and we loved the mountains in the background.
The food was ok. A bit to much of the same, but of you are ready to walk between the different buffés then you can composite a decent plate of food. Loved the egyptian bread directly from the oven!
The deserts all look good but the taste is not there. Sweet though.
The animation is nice in the evenings.
We had a very good week at this hotel and would definitly come back. My ten year old rated our vacation a 10/10 while the adults give it a 8/10. Good value for the money!

We were a family from Sweden, two adults and three children. From the moment we checked in, we were welcomed in a very warm and friendly way by the reception staff, Bassem Gergis and Joe Gergis. They were extremely helpful, always smiling, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay.
The restaurant staff were just as friendly and professional. The food was excellent at all the restaurants, and both the breakfast and dinner had a great variety and very good quality. The pool staff were also very kind and helpful.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, Pickalbatros Royal Moderna Sharm & Aqua Park. If I return myself, or if anyone from Sweden asks me for a recommendation, this hotel will absolutely be my first suggestion.

A great week's stay in the sun. Lovely room poolside and service impeccable. Loads of food options and all fresh. Many beds poolside and staff were attentive in making sure we had everything we needed throughout the day. Lobby bar excellent service and staff brilliant. Reception staff knowledgeable and professional. Amir on our pool bar was exceptional. We never wanted for anything when he was on duty.
All in all a very good weeks break in the sun. Just what we wanted.

We recently stayed at Pickalbatros Royal Moderna Resort in Sharm El Sheikh and honestly had an amazing experience from start to finish. The hotel is huge, beautifully maintained, and perfect for families, couples, or anyone wanting a relaxing all-inclusive holiday in Egypt.
The first thing that stood out was how clean everything was. The rooms, pools, restaurants, gardens, and beach areas were spotless every single day, and the housekeeping team worked incredibly hard. Our room was spacious, modern, comfortable, and cleaned daily to a very high standard.
The staff throughout the resort were excellent — always friendly, smiling, and willing to help. From reception to restaurant staff, pool attendants, housekeeping, and the animation team, everyone made us feel genuinely welcome and looked after.
The food was another highlight. There is a huge variety of restaurants and cuisines available, so it never felt repetitive. The buffet quality was much better than expected for an all-inclusive resort, with plenty of fresh food, grilled meats, salads, desserts, and options for kids too. The themed restaurants were a nice touch and added variety throughout the stay.
The pools and aqua park are fantastic. There are multiple pools around the resort, including heated pools, relaxing quieter areas, and plenty of slides and activities for children and adults. The aqua park especially was brilliant and kept everyone entertained all day.
The beach and sea are beautiful, with a long jetty leading out to the coral reef where you can snorkel and see amazing fish in the Red Sea. The water is crystal clear and the beach area has lots of sunbeds and space to relax.
Entertainment in the evenings was also very good with live shows, music, kids activities, and a lively atmosphere without feeling too overwhelming. There was always something happening around the resort.
One of the best things about this hotel is the overall value for money. You genuinely get a luxury-style resort experience with great facilities, excellent service, and loads to do all in one place. It’s easy to see why so many people return here year after year. The resort consistently scores very highly for cleanliness, facilities, staff, and overall guest satisfaction across thousands of reviews.

Of course, no hotel is perfect. The resort is very large, so there can be a fair bit of walking, and the jetty to the deeper sea is long. During busy periods some areas can feel lively and crowded, especially around peak meal times. But honestly, these were minor points compared to how much we enjoyed the stay.
Overall, I would highly recommend Pickalbatros Royal Moderna Resort to anyone visiting Sharm El Sheikh. Whether you want relaxation, family fun, snorkeling, pools, or good food, this hotel delivers on all fronts. We had a fantastic holiday and would definitely return again.

Family trip for 2 weeks, if you have a toddler then I suggest bringing bed side rails, as the cots are on the small side.
If you’re a smoker, you can essentially smoke wherever you want. If you’re not a smoker, then you’ll be able to tell if your next door neighbours smoke as the smell comes through the fans.
The internet is terrible and after a week it logs you out every other day and the speeds are awful (3mbps). Highly recommend a travel e-sim if you have the ability to do so, and ensuring you have plenty downloaded to watch on an iPad (particularly for your children).
The food is very much the same after you’ve had a week of it, not a complaint as it is nice and there’s always a good selection, but just don’t expect to challenge your palette. Wasn’t made clear to us on arrival but you have the option to book the “White Elephant” for free once during your stay. That was nice, but certainly wouldn’t pay to go.
The staff cannot do enough for you, we have tipped 100 Egyptian pounds, regularly (but not daily), to those who look after us best and it keeps them coming back.
I say the staff, I mean simply the staff you see on a regular basis (service & bar staff), the reception staff are less than helpful. Particularly the desk on the right hand side, as they simply stand there looking important and fob you off to one of their colleagues.
The pharmacy on site, particularly for nappies & wipes, was excessively expensive (£20 for a 24 pack & 2 packs of wipes)
Long story short, we had a lot of fun. From an English perspective, at least during our stay, other English were few and far between. There are seemingly a lot of Russian people that stay here. But it was enjoyable, I’d just make sure to bring a travel e-sim with you.
