Good hotel and amazing service! A bit dated in some areas, but the staff makes up for the small defects of the hotel.
We loved the heated pool and our favorite life guard Ahmed! The views from the beach are gorgeous and we loved the mountains in the background.
The food was ok. A bit to much of the same, but of you are ready to walk between the different buffés then you can composite a decent plate of food. Loved the egyptian bread directly from the oven!
The deserts all look good but the taste is not there. Sweet though.
The animation is nice in the evenings.
We had a very good week at this hotel and would definitly come back. My ten year old rated our vacation a 10/10 while the adults give it a 8/10. Good value for the money!

Overall, there were some genuinely positive parts of the holiday. The staff were helpful when we raised issues, although the service felt more reactive than proactive. The pools and hotel facilities were excellent, and the all-inclusive food was perfectly fine. We certainly did not go hungry. The drinks were below average, but acceptable in the context of an all-inclusive hotel.
The transfer from the airport to the hotel, and back again, was easy and well organised. The easyHoliday staff at pick-up and drop-off were also helpful, which made the travel side of the trip straightforward.
Unfortunately, there were several significant negatives which affected the overall experience.
The biggest issue was the handling of an egg allergy. Food was not clearly labelled, and waiters gave incorrect information, which resulted in illness twice. For a hotel catering to families and international guests, this was very concerning and made eating feel stressful rather than relaxing.
Our room was also a long way from the main pool area, which made daily trips back and forth inconvenient, especially with children. We were also disappointed to discover that the waterslides required children to be 130cm tall, but this was not made clear at the time of booking, despite the holiday being advertised as suitable for families with young children.
Another major downside was the constant selling around the pool. We were repeatedly approached by people trying to sell massages, scuba trips, beauty treatments, safaris and other services, all apparently connected to the hotel. On the first day alone, I was approached three times before even finding a sunlounger. By Day 3, I had been interrupted more than 40 times. Even after saying “no”, some sellers continued to push. We eventually had to get a “Do not disturb” sign simply to be left alone, although even then a few people still tried.
There were also issues with other guests. Some children were left largely unsupervised by their parents and were disruptive, aggressive and rude. This, combined with very loud guests allowing children to scream and bang doors at 2am, made the hotel feel far less relaxing than expected.
Finally, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, which affected our sleep throughout the stay.
In summary, the hotel has strong facilities, good pools and a convenient transfer experience, but the allergy handling, constant selling, poor sleep quality and lack of guest control made the holiday far more stressful than it should have been.

We were a family from Sweden, two adults and three children. From the moment we checked in, we were welcomed in a very warm and friendly way by the reception staff, Bassem Gergis and Joe Gergis. They were extremely helpful, always smiling, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay.
The restaurant staff were just as friendly and professional. The food was excellent at all the restaurants, and both the breakfast and dinner had a great variety and very good quality. The pool staff were also very kind and helpful.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, Pickalbatros Royal Moderna Sharm & Aqua Park. If I return myself, or if anyone from Sweden asks me for a recommendation, this hotel will absolutely be my first suggestion.

A great week's stay in the sun. Lovely room poolside and service impeccable. Loads of food options and all fresh. Many beds poolside and staff were attentive in making sure we had everything we needed throughout the day. Lobby bar excellent service and staff brilliant. Reception staff knowledgeable and professional. Amir on our pool bar was exceptional. We never wanted for anything when he was on duty.
All in all a very good weeks break in the sun. Just what we wanted.

We recently stayed at Pickalbatros Royal Moderna Resort in Sharm El Sheikh and honestly had an amazing experience from start to finish. The hotel is huge, beautifully maintained, and perfect for families, couples, or anyone wanting a relaxing all-inclusive holiday in Egypt.
The first thing that stood out was how clean everything was. The rooms, pools, restaurants, gardens, and beach areas were spotless every single day, and the housekeeping team worked incredibly hard. Our room was spacious, modern, comfortable, and cleaned daily to a very high standard.
The staff throughout the resort were excellent — always friendly, smiling, and willing to help. From reception to restaurant staff, pool attendants, housekeeping, and the animation team, everyone made us feel genuinely welcome and looked after.
The food was another highlight. There is a huge variety of restaurants and cuisines available, so it never felt repetitive. The buffet quality was much better than expected for an all-inclusive resort, with plenty of fresh food, grilled meats, salads, desserts, and options for kids too. The themed restaurants were a nice touch and added variety throughout the stay.
The pools and aqua park are fantastic. There are multiple pools around the resort, including heated pools, relaxing quieter areas, and plenty of slides and activities for children and adults. The aqua park especially was brilliant and kept everyone entertained all day.
The beach and sea are beautiful, with a long jetty leading out to the coral reef where you can snorkel and see amazing fish in the Red Sea. The water is crystal clear and the beach area has lots of sunbeds and space to relax.
Entertainment in the evenings was also very good with live shows, music, kids activities, and a lively atmosphere without feeling too overwhelming. There was always something happening around the resort.
One of the best things about this hotel is the overall value for money. You genuinely get a luxury-style resort experience with great facilities, excellent service, and loads to do all in one place. It’s easy to see why so many people return here year after year. The resort consistently scores very highly for cleanliness, facilities, staff, and overall guest satisfaction across thousands of reviews.

Of course, no hotel is perfect. The resort is very large, so there can be a fair bit of walking, and the jetty to the deeper sea is long. During busy periods some areas can feel lively and crowded, especially around peak meal times. But honestly, these were minor points compared to how much we enjoyed the stay.
Overall, I would highly recommend Pickalbatros Royal Moderna Resort to anyone visiting Sharm El Sheikh. Whether you want relaxation, family fun, snorkeling, pools, or good food, this hotel delivers on all fronts. We had a fantastic holiday and would definitely return again.
