Nice quiet location on the edge of town, but should be playing a bit of toto & foreigner over the pa on arrival… the whole place is a blast from the 1980s & in need of maintenance & refit. feeling quite rundown, the photos and + reviews on here definitely give a rose tinted view… Service okay, rooms a good size but certainly not 4*.. compared with same rated 4* hotel next door it’s looking very dilapidated. Bed was truly awful - small and uncomfortable. Seems to be used mostly as a training camp for sporting groups

Despite the efforts of staff the hotel is tired. The cooked breakfast although plentiful was cold. There wasn’t a lot of choice at dinner last night although the salad bar was very good

Lovely resort..loved the layout of the outdoor space..6 different areas of rooms each with their own pools..so even if resort is full you are not all crammed in together. Staff are lovely the only downside is the rooms are very dated..spotless clean but need an overhaul..

It's a great hotel for kids and those doing outdoor pursuits. Nothing wrong with the hotel, the complex is huge and not ideal for those who have limited mobility. There are plenty of ground floor apartments, so those with complex mobility needs you would better to inform the hotel before you arrive to accommodate your needs.

We loved Sands Beach, the apartments are really spacious and clean... Any problems and there was always someone on reception to help or advise. The only downside is the terrible condition of the sun beds, they really are on their last legs, apart from that, couldn't fault the place. Must admit, some of the reviews made me wonder what it was going to be like, but, we thought it was a fabulous place to stay. We attended the recent Soul in the sun Northern Soul event, so did spend a lot of time at Sands Beach... Added bonus, food on site was delicious and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.
