Stayed here for 7 days, this is one of the best all inclusive holidays I've ever been on.
The staff are incredibly friendly and talented with everything they do and a special thanks to Raquel she has been amazing during our stay.
I can't fault much about this hotel but one thing I would say is getting sunbeds is a little crazy in the mornings, they open at 9 and found people queuing and then running to grab a sunbed only for them to leave there towels for hours while they do activities and come back later, which is stated that it's prohibited to do.
I've found the food great with lots of variety but the breakfast was especially the best.
The entertainment in the evening is great and gets everybody involved.
Overall I'm so happy with this hotel and facilities it offers.

Amazing stay at the Barcelo active resort - family of 9 ages range from 8 to 57
Firstly, a special shoutout to Tim from the entertainment team he was absolutely amazing, he really made our holiday special. We didn’t eat at any of the restaurants as we were all inclusive and just ate in the buffets or had a few things from the snack bar in the day. The food was amazing on both the royal and active side with plenty of options. I’ve seen a few people claim the food is repetitive however, that is only the case if you choose to get the same thing everyday. The gym facilities were great as were all of the activities in the pool throughout the day - there truly is something for everyone. Unfortunately, what people say about sunbeds is true however if you aren’t bothered about being poolside you can get them quite easily. As mentioned before we are a family of 9 and managed to get enough sunbeds for us all pretty much everyday. The adults only pool was also a really nice break away from the main pool, if anyone is interested in that, there is cabanas but you must be there for 9 in order to get one. We arrived in the evening around 11pm and when 2 of our family members arrived at their room they noticed a very off putting smell. We went to the reception and told them, immediately they sent out the maintenance guy to try and clear the smell for the evening and advised they would find us a new room in the morning. We had to wait for other people to check out in order to get a new room as the hotel was full but we did not mind. At 4:30 the next day we were given our new room and a free voucher for the mini golf as an apology. We got some professional family photos done by the hotel also for a reasonable price and we are really happy with them. I also just want to mention how hard the kitchen and food staff work, they are constantly on their feet and work tirelessly. We have had an amazing holiday filled with great memories and I hope you all do too.

Stayed for 1 week with my partner and when we arrived we were shocked on how modern it looks. The hotel looks absolutely lovely can’t fault that at all. Now luckily we didn’t care as much as others did about sunbathing by the pool but if you wanted a sun bed it would be a fight for one. People started queuing up for a sun bed as early as 7:30 and no one wants to wake up at that time for a sun bed. People would reserve their sun beds with their towels when it clearly says not allowed but they don’t anything about it. Food was good , a lot of options and different dishes every day , snack bar would be good if you liked reheated nuggets. There was salads and stuff like that too so wasn’t to bad but wasn’t great. The location itself isn’t great to be honest, we rented a car so wasn’t a problem for us but there isn’t much going on around the hotel. The entertainment wasn’t our sort of thing, most of it was for kids and they had a singer at our part of the hotel we stayed in on Friday night and Sunday night which would end at 10pm(bit to early). Rooms were very well sized , didn’t have a problem with cockroaches as I see a lot of other reviews say that did . However , after a while air-con was dripping water which is normal but very annoying. I think overall the hotel is nice could be better, anything over a weeks stay I think I would have got way to bored. Main things that let it down is the entertainment and the sun bed wars.

Great family resort accommodating for keeping your training going while you’re away! Our second stay here and well recommended, from the Olympic pool, through to the functional fitness training facility and bike hire available it’s well furnished to help you stay in shape while enjoying the climate and landscape! The rooms are clean and fresh, kept to a high standard with daily cleaning and the restaurants offer a great selection with high availability of healthy options!

Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort: Our Top Choice in Lanzarote!
We absolutely loved our stay at Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort! This hotel is perfectly located right in the center of the island, which made it super easy to visit everything Lanzarote has to offer. The pools are great, and the staff were consistently pleasant and helpful.
But what really stood out was the incredible quality of the buffet. It's honestly one of the best hotel buffets we've ever experienced, with an amazing variety of choices and truly high-quality products. Breakfast was equally impressive, with so many options, and everything was delicious.
It's a fantastic choice for exploring Lanzarote – we highly recommend it!
