Loved it here!
The hotel is lovely, perfect place to relax.
The pool is heated which is amazing!
The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and clean.
The food is good and the breakfast is wonderful. The staff in the dining room cannot do enough for you. They are so nice.
We will be coming back again next year, thank you Mirador Papagayo - see you next year!

We stayed here off-season (November) so maybe not a fair reflection of how good this hotel can be in it's prime but we did try to bear that in mind writing this! Ultimately it was OK value for money for the time of year, but I did always feel it could be slightly better, or atleast more transparent about what would be reduced for the off-season before we chose it, as some of the reasons we chose this hotel weren't very good at this time of year.
The Good:
- Good location, secure and safe.
- Staff attentive at mealtimes. It was unexpected to be prioritised as a family of three with a young boy over other adult guests in the entry queue which was a nice touch.
- Pools are a nice size, good provision of sunbeds, reasonable temperatures and a lifeguard at each, but caveat below...
- Most places nice and clean, the tunnel under the road to get to the family side on the north is a great feature.
- Views from the hotel and the coastal path are wonderful.
- Plenty of parking, and within walking distance of a nice little play-park and some shops for everything you need.
- The walk to the Rubicon Marina is a leisurely 20 minutes, cycling or eScooter would be 5 mins. Walking to Playa is 45-60 mins depending on your pace.
- Hotel itself quite quiet during the day, no major activity or traffic in the surrounding roads.
- Bar terrace above the main pool is very nice.
- You are allowed inflatables in the family pool!
- Provision of the baby bed and linen etc was all fine, very sturdy and good equipment.
The Bad:
- Rooms on the family side are a bit tired. They work and are functional but definitely in need of renovation.
- Wouldn't recommend lower floors of the family units unless you have to for access or are a heavy sleeper, as we could always hear the family above moving around through our ceiling or trolley cases being wheeled around on the tiles for the walkway behind our unit.
- When we arrived the floor to our room had not been cleaned and was incredibly dusty. After 10 minutes of running around barefoot we had completely icky soles on our feet. They did rectify quickly though, the friendly cleaner came about 90 mins later whilst we were out exploring.
- The kids club would only run if you were there at the start time - The soft play is not available for use if they decide to close it or not run it at all due to low demand.
- We booked a hire car via reception which they were very happy to do, but there did seem to be a misunderstanding on the start time. Hire car company (Bissaucar) blamed reception, reception blamed the hire car company. Just be wary - My suggestion would be to double check the company they are using and to get some specific details / ask for booking confirmation from the provider. Bissaucar themselves were fine once we started our hire, and are easy to get to if you prefer direct (their office is about 200m north, right next to the supermarket).
- No pool bar open on the family side, I guess due to out of season although it did look very closed, almost disused so maybe even not during high season anymore... This meant that for drinks and snacks you have to go all the way through the entire complex to the other pool bar.
- About 1/3 of the family area and 2/3 of the main pool area is in shade all day (Early November). This does mean the most sought after sunbeds are snapped up quickly.
- Food and drinks mediocre, the usual free for all with all inclusive at dinner times. As another reviewer said, breakfast was best. Lunch was minimal, dinner did get better as the week went on. Almost every other hotel we have been to provided fresh pasta and pizza as a go-to if you didn't like the offered mains, here it was limited.
- Staff weren't very good on other languages which did mean building rapport and friendliness with them was tricky. They did seem a little understaffed but very hard working.
- Mini Disco for the children didnt start until 20:45 which felt quite late.
- The outdoor play equipment near the tennis court is a bit tired. Perfectly safe, but a bit tired!

Lovely hotel, very clean and staff were good. Food was fine certain days better than others. Like the fact they seat you so your not fighting for tables. We liked the location as it was a lovely walk to the marina down the front. Rooms were great and it wasn't too busy for saying it was school holiday.

The hotel was very nice and clean.
The breakfast was excellent, the small pool was heated and therefore very nice. The evening entertainment for kids was fun.
The waiting staff was nice but we had an incident with one of them and the staff at reception was not the most welcoming and helpful - especially when asking information on our transfer to the airport.
Food for lunch or dinner was not good. It wasn’t the worst but I certainly was not looking forward to it and there was zero choice for kids.
The other pools in the hotel were freezing cold and because the place is so windy, no one was using the cold pools.
I think it’s more than reasonable to give 3 stars but we were a little bit disappointed considering the price for this place.

First time staying here and it didn't disappoint, the staff were friendly, especially the lady in the spa, the ladies on reception were always helpful, room was very clean, the view from my room was amazing, better than I expected! I've seen negative comments about the food but I thought there was a good choice and it looked fresh and well cooked, breakfast was especially good. I would definitely stay here again, a beautiful location and hotel, a great first experience in lanzarote
