Visited as a couple as needed a break from everyday. Hotel is located up in the mountains near the golf courses and its a perfect spot if you are fan of this sport, although we are not one of those people we have enjoyed the views and the silence ( forgetting there was some building work nearby which did not bother us at all) we were happy to be away from all busy beach resorts. As well as the golf equipment the hotel offers electric bicycle rentals, free shuttle to the beach, shuttle to the nearby market, spa, gym, various fitness classes and also a restful sleep program. It was a perfect spot for us to relax. The staff was very professional at any level providing excellent service without being intrusive, always polite and helpful. The food was just amazing! The quality and variety we were very impressed not to mention that every dinner is a theme, they serve Spanish, Street food, Italian, Asian just an example so you won't get bored of the same. We stayed in Double deluxe room in "Yuca" section of the hotel - the room was as advertised and very clean as well as the rest of the hotel. Must mention they have four swimming pools which 2 of are public, " the sunset " pool was our favourite with 180° views onto the mountains and the ocean and warm water, there is also a "secret pool" if you are able to find it...Overall we spent excellent time at the "Salobre" and returned home happy and well rested.
I can highly recommend it if you are looking for somewhere to relax and rest!

This location offers an exceptionally serene environment, particularly during the evening hours when the hotel becomes very quiet. Guests are welcome to access the 11th floor to enjoy the views and stargaze, even on windy nights.

If you want actual serenity on your holiday, avoid Salobre Hotel. This hotel does not have 5-star service. We have been to 3 and 4-star hotels with better service than this one.
We really tried to give this hotel a shot and were disappointed over and over during our stay. We have the feeling that we were initially denied great service on arrival, because we got a good deal on our stay.
- We asked for a small desk in our room over a week before our trip to work, to give the hotel enough time to find a solution. Our request was denied and then ignored when asked again.
- Upon arrivial we politely asked about our request and were denied. Interestingly, this happened after we refused an upgrade to a room with a better view (which also did not contain a desk)
- We found a solution so simple ourselves, I'm surprised the staff didn't think of it: we moved the table from the balcony inside
Other requests that were not handled by the reception desk, despite agreeing they would do so:
- Repair of the heating system. My wife ended up getting a strong cold during our stay, as it was so cold in the room
- Replacement of our dirty bathrobes
- Preparing of our takeaway breakfast, as we had to leave before the start of breakfast time due to an early flight. We called the reception desk the afternoon before, again to leave the hotel staff ample time for preparation (in vain). This made our stay end on a very disappointing note. Not only was no breakfast ready, but the reception staff did not offer any support besides calling the kitchen (non-responsive)
Furthermore, serenity was made impossible by
- the constant construction noise, the only part of this review the hotel could do nothing about
- our room was above the AC vent, meaning constant noise even at night
- the curtains that did nothing to enable darkness at night
And, on one evening the strong rain led to many leaks in the retractable roof of the dining hall. This was a health hasard, as every step to the buffet meant you could either slip in a puddle or get soaked by a new leak. We understand this was an exceptional event, but a 5-star hotel should be prepared for rain, that happens at least a dozen times per year. Also no umbrellas were available despite our path from the room to the dining hall being partly uncovered. We thus got soaked - probably another reason my wife got sick.
Some positive:
- The food was quite ok, Spanish night very good
- The waiting and kitchen staff was kind and competent, thank you to them for making our stay a bit more enjoyable
Overall, we do not recommend this hotel, despite the many pools, as enjoying them serenely is made impossible by the construction noise and lacking service

Words are not enough to describe how beautiful this hotel is. The staff is by far the most competent I have ever met. Everything was absolutely perfect: the setting, the cleanliness, the flawless organization of the hotel, activities, and transportation. And the food was simply exceptional!

This was an absolutely exceptional stay! Salobre Hotel Resort & Serenity exceeded our expectations – especially when it comes to traveling with a small child.
The hotel offers fantastic amenities for families – we felt comfortable, safe, and truly cared for. A special thank you to the entire staff – regardless of their role, everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, understanding, and warm towards our child. Often it’s the smiles and kindness of the people that create the atmosphere of a place – and here, you feel it at every step.
The food was delicious, with a great variety and high quality. Pools, spa, and cleanliness – all at the highest level.
The hotel itself is visually stunning – modern, thoughtful, full of light and greenery. Despite its large size, it feels intimate, and it’s always possible to find a quiet, secluded spot to relax.
We will definitely recommend this place to other families with children – and we’re leaving with beautiful memories ourselves.
