I would give 6 if I could!
We are a family of five, and this is our second stay at Radisson Blu Arguineguín this year. The first time was in May when our youngest son turned 5 – it was an amazing experience, The restaurant had decorated the table for his birthday – such a thoughtful gesture. Now we are back in September to celebrate our other son’s 7th birthday.
From the moment you step out of the taxi, you are greeted with smiles and first-class service. The hotel is quiet and relaxing, there are always sunbeds available, the rooms are beautiful, and housekeeping does an excellent job.
This time we chose half board, and both breakfast and dinner were excellent – the waiters are truly wonderful. The spa is also fantastic. A special thanks to the hairdresser Tamara who cut both me and my son – we were very happy!
All the staff lift the experience into something truly unique. If I could give 6 stars, I would. We will definitely be back.

Yes, it’s five star hotel. You’ll find good service, nice, comfortable rooms, swimming pools and if prefer ocean, exit to the public beach. We stayed on the ground floor with direct exit to the pools, which were very convenient.
I think it’s a little bit overpriced and could’ve been cheaper but with huge amounts of tourists and big demand, probably will stay same.

Lovely stuff, great service and likability with all the staff across the board. Towels for the pool are soft and laundered, with exchange daily if desired. Food is of high quality though buffet is limited after a week’s stay, but still good. Pools are warm and inviting and the lunchtime pizzas are delicious.

We stayed here for 4 nights in August and overall had a very relaxing and enjoyable time. We were welcomed with a drink on arrival and given a clear overview of the resort’s facilities. The atmosphere is remarkably calm (even though there are many families)! There was always space at the pools or on the lawns without a rush for sunbeds. The pools are beautiful, and our premium room with private jacuzzi was a highlight. Staff across reception, housekeeping and restaurants were friendly.
Breakfast was very good: fresh fruit, excellent coffee, fresh orange juice, individual yoghurts, and plenty of variety. Dinner buffets had nice themes and live background music, but the food was less refined, with many fried options and some cold dishes not kept chilled enough.
A few downsides: all premium rooms (with jacuzzi balcony) have a connecting door, which can be very noisy if you have loud neighbours. This was the case in our first room, which also had maintenance issues. Luckily, after raising our concerns, management handled it well (very much appreciated!) and moved us to a much quieter, more comfortable room (still with some defects such as a broken window handle, a dirty skirting board, and broken sunbeds on the balcony). In this room, we enjoyed an excellent night’s sleep, which was our main priority during this short getaway. Parts of the building feel a bit dated or worn, with details like slippery wet floors in lifts or neglected areas near the beach access. Small things, but noticeable in a supposedly luxurious setting.
In the end, despite a rocky start upon arrival (due to noise from the connecting door), we had a very enjoyable stay with several highlights. However, compared to other Radisson Blu hotels I have visited, this property fell a bit short in terms of recognition of Radisson Rewards Premium benefits. For that reason, I feel that a 3/5 rating is the fairest reflection of our experience. The resort is perfect for a peaceful sun holiday, though next time in Gran Canaria we might return to Maspalomas / Meloneras for a livelier setting.

Good 4 star (breakfast 5 star). Location not near beach or port if with older people - it’s 15 min walk to the front. Our rooms were great on appearance but we had several issues (drain flies, insects and ants, cockroaches!) which kept appearing out of nowhere. The kids loved the large slightly salty pool - very warm and big enough for a lot of children. Breakfast staff were A+ as was the breakfast itself. Truly 5*. It’s a nice place but just lacks a certain ‘holiday feeling’ with its modern design and position. Sports facilities are also good but book up fast. Entertainment is standard fair but everyone seemed to enjoy it and the performers made a big effort to entertain and engage the crowd. The kids loved the magician particularly. Dads = beers are cheap here and they have footy on if that’s your thing. Nice hotel but not great. Recommend Masplomas over Mogan for 1week or more stay.
