The hotel is very nice, centrally located, and offers beautiful views of the beach. One of the highlights is the food — both breakfast and dinner are made with good ingredients and offer a nice variety.
However, the rooms definitely need improvement. Considering this is a 4-star hotel, there’s no courtesy kit in the bathroom, and the minibar is completely empty — not even a bottle of water for guests upon arrival, which is inexcusable.
What’s even more ridiculous is the presence of a water boiler in the room, two cups… and nothing else. No tea, no coffee, nothing.
Attention to detail is very important, and it’s a pity to see these kinds of oversights.

Location of the main hotel and the view from the pool is amazing.
The food choice was disappointing, the first night my partner got chicken skewers which were raw, sent them back and asked for fresh ones, they came and were raw again. Second night was a choice of pork or lamb which neither of us eat and we were put off from the previous night so we ate out. We ate out for 3 out of the 5 nights we were there (one of the days we were at a wedding so didn't need to eat at the hotel).
We had booked a room with a balcony, upon checking into our room we were disappointed as we didn't have a balcony but a shared terrace. When querying this with reception was told there were no other rooms available so we had to stick with it. We had also booked a room with a double bed, it was two singles pushed together, upon asking about this was told they could provide a mattress topper to make it a double bed.
Upon booking the hotel, wasn't aware of the separate building with other rooms in so was disappointed when checking in and being told our room was across the road from the main hotel.
No entertainment at night which was disappointing.

We are staying at this hotel now and Its FIRST CLASS. We have stayed in this resort many times at different hotels but The hotel ATOLON is by far the BEST for many reasons.
1 The food is amazing, so much choice. The produce is fresh good quality and cooked for you. The variety is at each mealtime is brilliant
2 The staff... what can i say they are ALL quietly courteous, but very friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them. So lovely, kind and helpful.
3 The rooms. All are spotlessly clean. The beds, linen and pillows are good quality.
4 The beach vibe of the hotel... its different. At first we were unsure as The Atolon used to be the place for night time entertainment, but its so chilled and relaxing now. Yoga on the beach etc. Seems to attract a younger multinational clientel which i feel is good for the resort. Still would like some entertainment at night perhaps but other hotels offer it and your welcome to go in.
The only thing we found the reception bar could open a little before evening service so guests could get a drink perhaps while waiting for restaurant to open. Especially if its raining as getting back round from beach bar you get soaked.
Note for information .Not advertised as adults only but nothing specifically for children. But thats was not a problem for us as we are retired.
If your wondering if to book do it.... you will NOT be disappointed

We stayed here in August last year. On our first night another couple entered our room despite the door being locked. It’s clear the locks could be overridden if you had a room card which was slightly concerning. A physical deadbolt would’ve been preferred.
Although it was a mistake by the reception staff (they accidentally gave out the same room twice) it was very difficult for us to speak to the manager about this issue. It took 3 attempts turning up at the front desk over two days to speak with them and the apology seemed very forced. Overall it left us feeling quite uneasy for the rest of our stay.
The hotel is situated in a nice area and the view from the pool was beautiful. However our room itself was situated across the road so it felt very disconnected and very much like we were staying in a block of holiday flats and not a hotel. The rooms themselves were acceptable, however they lacked storage space for your clothes and didn’t seem the cleanest with some floor staining easily visible.

Good location of the hotel, staff is very friendly and helpful. We had been upgraded to a sea view room and the view was everything!!! Breakfast is amazing, really good and various choice of food. The rooms are small with limited storage space (there are no drawers for example). A small renovation may be needed as the mirror in the bathroom was a bit rusty. The ventilator in the bathroom was not working (or there wasn’t any, I’m not sure) and it was a bit uncomfortable after a shower.
