I recently stayed at Sol Cala d’Or Apartamentos for my aunt’s birthday, and the experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome, which set the tone for a memorable stay. The apartment was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with everything we needed for both comfort and convenience. The pool area was beautifully maintained and provided the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the sunshine, while the location itself couldn’t have been better—just a short walk from the beach, shops, and restaurants in Cala d’Or. What stood out most was the atmosphere: family-friendly yet tranquil, with a sense of care in every detail. Celebrating a special occasion there felt effortless, and the team went above and beyond to make it feel unique. I would highly recommend Sol Cala d’Or Apartamentos to anyone looking for the perfect mix of comfort, hospitality, and an unbeatable location in Mallorca.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is basic but clean and we loved the deep pool. We had a superior room which is over 2 floors so seems massive for a hotel room. And having 2 balconies feels very luxurious. Only down side to the room was you needed to pay to get a key for the safe which is unusual nowadays. The food we had at the pool bar was good and the beer nice and cold in big pint pots. We paid for bed and breakfast but the breakfast was not good at all. Same thing every day and all of it pretty bad. I'd avoid breakfast if I went again but everything else was great. People mention the noise on a night but it all stops at midnight so you may as well just go over there and enjoy a drink and watch the bad karaoke. All in all a great holiday and the staff were lovely.

I stayed here for 5 nights in Cala d’Or and sadly this was not as I expected. On the first night, our booked room “wasn’t ready” and the person at the counter told us they could “upgrade” us to a much better, fancier apartment for the night. In reality, it was nothing short of awful – dark, gloomy, and felt like a dungeon. It was in no way better than what we had booked, despite the way it was sold to us. To make up for this, we were told we’d get free breakfast as a gesture for the inconvenience. Only later did we realise everyone could just walk in and have breakfast – so this so-called “compensation” was meaningless. We felt completely misled, as if they were pretending to reward us for their mistake when, in reality, they gave us nothing extra at all. The beds were terrible to sleep on – hard, uncomfortable, and made it impossible to get a decent night’s rest. The air conditioning was extremely noisy, and on top of that, you could hear everything – from conversations in the next apartment to footsteps and movement above. Our apartment was only cleaned once during the entire stay, which is simply unacceptable for a 5-night booking. The only positives I can mention are the excellent pool, which is great for families, and the location, which is ideal for exploring Cala d’Or. We will absolutely return to Cala d’Or in the future – but we will be booking elsewhere. After this experience, I would have expected the hotel to at least take meaningful steps to make things right. Sadly, that never happened.

Great location! BUT Too expensive for what it is! The apartment was dirty: pillows, sheets, towels.... there was a lot of humidity which means mold in the ceiling, walls, shower.... the bottom of the shower was crumbling and the water didn't get away properly. The pool was nice and big, but all the chairs were taken with towels but without anybody... and this from early in the Morning so impossible to enjoy the pool. We complained and not even a sorry!

This would of been our 5th time staying and we do love it but this time the pool was just so loud I know not much you can do.. hen parties, big groups of family's and diffrent groups playing music. So 3 diffrent sets of music playing is enough to give anyone a head ache.. There is a smoking area by the bins and I don't understand why everyone is allowed to sit vaping all day and blowing clouds of smoke into your face all day long it's absolutely vile... it completely ruined my holiday trying to avoid it like the plauge but sadly nearly everyone was vaping and can't seem to put it down for more than 5 seconds as if it's a baby's dummy. We was so happy with our level 5 room the staff always listen to us in that way. Just sad we probably can't stay again 😞 I don't come on holiday to have people's smoke in my face for the whole day. Or keep moving beds was rhe other option. Never mind but think the vapes need to be classed as smoking and there needs to be an area for it. Towels as always down and reserved again this should be sorted you have people missing for 5 hours at a time and come back to a bed they had a towel on all day. Isn't fair. Thank you though sol for giving us our lovely room.. but honestly the smoke around the pool is vile and unbearable.
