Bad experience overall. If you want to use the gym, it costs an extra €3, and the spa is another €3 — ridiculous. The building is old (even if “renovated”), there’s no AC in the rooms or bathrooms, and the ventilation in the bathroom barely works. The elevator is tiny and claustrophobic, there are hardly any power outlets near the bed, and the beds themselves feel like concrete. They also don’t clean your dishes. If I’d known the gym and spa weren’t included, I’d never have booked this place. I also wouldn’t recommend taking a room near the staircase — tourists come back late at night and make a lot of noise going up and down.

Great location with a pool, near the beach, a small supermarket and with free parking. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and our room had a kitchenette and a balcony with a rack to get our towels and swimsuits dried up. The pool water is disappointingly cold. With plenty of free sunlight to warm it up there is no reason other than lack of willingness to have a cold pool. The bathroom shower does not offer any place to hold a soap or shampoo bottle which is quite an annoyance, we had to craft something in order to make it somewhat functional. Another disappointment was that there was a supplement to use the in-room safe... Last time I saw a charge for that was decades ago in Cuba...

Very Good value hotel. Large well equipped rooms. Great service with nice staff. Very clean and Tidy also. 200 yards from the beach.

A perfect holiday location. There's a pool and the apartment is well equipped and spacious. Excellent friendly staff and everywhere is exceptionally clean. Great apartments and area, 5 minutes walk to the beach. Also, good buses to portimao and Lagos, plenty to explore. Highly recommend ✅

Disappointing experience at Apartamentos Turisticos Flor da Rocha – 13 July
Arrived at 4pm, the official check-in time, and was told our room wouldn’t be ready due to the Afro Nation festival. We were asked to wait 30 minutes, which became over two hours without updates—even though I provided my phone number.
When we asked about compensation, an upgrade, or even a late checkout, we were met with flat refusals. There was no manager on site, and no complaint contact was provided.
At around 6:15pm, we were finally given Room 103—but it was completely unclean and clearly had not been serviced. After further complaints, we were moved to Room 507. Unfortunately, issues didn’t stop there: the blow dryer didn’t work, and when we requested an iron, we were told we’d have to wait 45 minutes.
While I understand peak times can strain hotel operations, basic service and cleanliness should never be compromised. The lack of communication, empathy, and accountability made this stay unacceptable.
Would not return, and wouldn’t recommend based on this experience.
