Beware of rooms with a garden/street view. We booked two double/twin rooms and were given bedrooms in the dungeon of the hotel. View was a car on blocks, a wall and bins. Disgusting smell in the room - a can of air freshener was left for our use. No access to wardrobe because the bed was in the way. Fire exit was through a storeroom for tools.
There was one room with a castle view available to move to but two in our party had to remain in the original room. Both bedrooms were not cleaned to a high standard.
The hotel is charming, old style decor but some bedrooms are a health and safety issue.
Breakfast is adequate. Pool nice. The hotel has great views and is in a great location. Fine for a weekend visit but be very careful what type of room you book!

A great hotel. Superb location and fabulous view of castle. Room was large but beds a bit hard for my liking, othwise couldn't fault it for the price. Lovely relaxing pool area. Had a great time.

The accomodation is nice although we stayed in January and the pool was not cleaned so we couldn't use it but looks great in Summer.
The rooms are a bit outdated with a Tiny TV, sadly we were put in the room opposite the entrance /motorway so had no view and the sound of cars going past,
With drinks they add them on a tab, so got 2 coffee and was expecting around £4 charge at the end, got charged around 30+ instead after we left. When we asked they applied the coffee charge and refunded the additional money without explaining why...
