Spent a weekend at this hotel in February 2026 and were delighted with our choice. Homely hotel with very friendly staff. Great location, just a 10 minute stroll to the pretty town of Silves. Beautiful grounds, comfortable lounge area. Bedrooms a bit dated but this adds to the charm of the hotel. Ample self service breakfast with good selections. Exceptional value for money. Recommend booking a castle view room for a lovely floodlit vista of Silves castle, across the river.

While the rooms are dated, this hotel is a great option. The grounds are well maintained and it has a nice pool area. The rooms were clean, breakfast was included, and we had a small deck with a castle view. Overall, it was well worth the price. It's a good, budget friendly option.

If you have never seen how the other half live and you require a lesson in humility, this would be a good start for you.
The people here are poor but they are also very proud. Directly opposite the hotel as an abandoned olive oil factory. The previous owners have left, leaving their dogs behind. There is 8 of them and they bark all night, I have been feeling them and I've posted videos on the local expat forums. If new guests can continue to feed them I would appreciate that.

Stayed here for 2 nights on short trip to re-visit this beautiful town. What exceptionally good value. The room price is unbeatable and includes a decent breakfast. The room was spacious, had effective heating (the nights were cold) and had a wonderful view of the town and castle. The public bar and lounge were also comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay, and will definitely return on our next visit to Portugal. Excellent!!

Comfortable hotel with a nice outdoor pool. Some small service touches are lacking, for example they don’t provide pool towels - you have to take your bath towel from your room. Very nice views over the town. It’s a fairly easy walk into town for restaurants, castle, cathedral etc.
