Great value place, with a nice bar and entertainment. Apartments in central building very well equipped, and cleaned regularly. Nice balconies overlooking the pool, with afternoon/evening sundhine. Only drawback is it is loud every night, so not great if you are a light sleeper and want a restful break. Town quite far away, but only e5 each way.

We stayed a week.. just got home.. very good set up.. we had a Superior room.. lovely renovation on ground floor to walk out to pool.. Bar staff.. Housekeepers were excellent and very friendly.. especially Karen behind the bar.. great with customers.. Reception lady.sadly not so friendly.. anything you asked was an effort for her to accommodate... location a bit far out to go anywhere although taxis very cheap.. weather was awful so we could not fully enjoy our stay.. but I would go back.. not much for kids to do..
One real negative for us was they allow glass bottles and glass drinks containers around pool.. not good idea at all..

Damp smelling room, black mold, asked to be moved and told no, and have booked for 7 days. Smell of the room is giving headaches and coughing. Beds are hard to sleep on, pools are dirty. Management was rude and not helpful at all. Disappointing and bad start to holiday.

We stayed just enjoyed our November stay.
The hotel itself is quite pretty, and the apartments are spacious and have all the amenities you need.
The staff are super helpful and they’re quite happy to help with anything.
The restaurant is overpriced for what it is though, and the food isn’t great. The coffee is lovely though.
The pool was freezing. It does state on the website that pool is only heated during the holiday season, but I feel if you’re still accepting guests and advertising the pool, it should be little warmer than absolutely freezing.
There’s a small shop on the basement level but there’s barely anything in it.
The hotel is located in a residential area a fair distance from old town, so It’s a lot of Ubers back and forth. Luckily they’re quite cheap.
It’s a €20 deposit for the T.V remote which is fine but they did lose our deposit. This was amended with a later check out time, so that’s fair enough.
Overall it was a nice stay. The poolside loungers & atmosphere are really nice, and the staff are great.

Booked the Choromar based on price but was then concerned by the negative reviews. As it's a bit far out of town, we hired a car. On arrival, we were assigned an apartment in the next door building. Short walk from reception. Apartment was very spacious and quite clean. Kitchen was good and well equipped. Spacious balcony overlooking the road but quiet at night. Good TV, took our Firestick so had all the programmes from home. Aircon was excellent, yes a deposit was required but no issues. There were two 'sofa beds' in the sitting room one doubled as the main couch - this was very uncomfortable. Ants, we saw some on the balcony but not in the apartment but we were careful about brushing up crumbs etc. Mostly very quiet but cleaning started at 8am and furniture noise travelled through the floors. Pool area of the annex was run down but quiet so my other half enjoyed it for sunbathing in the pm. The hotel itself is very ornately decorated, almost tacky but cute. Entertainment most nights was OK. Some rowdy clients but not too bad. Drinks in the bar were good and staff pleasant, €7 for a mixed drink, €4.50 for a wine. Onsite shop ridiculously expensive but you'd expect that. Not much nearby but 10 minute walk to Erin's Isle and some restaurants, 15 min to Aldi. The pathways are in poor condition so caution required. Uber and Bolt are very reasonable and reliable in Albufeira.
We wouldn't book Choromar again but were pleasantly surprised. It was great value.
