I had a pretty disappointing stay. The first room they gave me had a broken air conditioner, so I had to ask for a new one. The second room’s AC worked but wasn’t strong enough to cool the whole space. There was no hair dryer or kettle provided, which was inconvenient. The shower head was also in bad shape and not working properly.
The hotel itself feels old and outdated. You’re also not allowed to bring any outside food, which was frustrating. The check-in process was a mess – there were two receptionists, and I still had to wait almost an hour in line.
On the plus side, the location is great – it’s very close to the Strip, which made it easy to get around. But overall, I wouldn’t stay here again unless they make some serious improvements.

This is the second year staying at this Hotel and I must say it was a totally mixed bag. Last year when I stayed there was a €50 hold imposed just in case you left damage on the room. Not the worst amount considering they could just place a hold of €1and then take it from there. This year and I do believe it is under new management as the name of the hotel you see is ‘Belver’ when myself and others from the same group arrived to check in we were told it was a €100 hold on our cards!? We explained it wasn’t the case last year and the manager (I do believe older guy) explained to a few of us it was mandatory and we couldn’t have our rooms without it (it also had to be done by physical card payment. I went thru with it as I didn’t want the hassle, we were there for work purposes and I needed my room. All of us there at the time (11 people mixed group majority male separate rooms) were all charged this to access our room bookings. Now this would not be a problem or issue if ALL guests were made to pay this however with a bit of inquiry we found out that not all guests were made to pay this, some guests weren’t even aware of this. I asked black females, white male groups and each time I was answered with “nope just had to pay the tourist tax” which also differed from €6 to €8 euros. This is a complete joke and liberty. Be consistent or don’t bother at all. To add insult to injury this new company that have taken over the hotel also told some guests that their rooms didn’t have fridges in them because they were renting them out and also replaced all beds they had (king and queen) with low to the ground two single beds in the rooms. Didn’t make for the most comfortable sleep but I guess I made it work. Also if you want to even think of sleeping do not get a room facing the strip. You will hear constant noise. The breakfast is at a decent level and the staff working the breakfast are really friendly and do their job well, no complaints with them. The €100 charge is not compulsory and you DO NOT have to pay it. They make it up and will charge people based on their own stereotype. It also gets taken off your card not a hold and when you leave they refund it onto your card, I checked out on Monday and I am still waiting for the money to be put back.

Worst experience ever. We came to check-in at 2pm (as stated in our booking confirmation) and were told that the check-in is only at 4pm. After waiting and coming back, we were surprised with these horrible rooms and extremely uncomfortable mattresses. No connection, no wi-fi, nothing was working well in this hotel. If you’re coming during the summer, be prepared for extremely loud music, screams and a lot of noise even after 12am (from the streets, but also from the rooms). We couldn’t sleep, so we had to leave and check-in in a last-minute reservation in another hotel at 1am. So much money lost!! Never again.

Do not stay!! Air con not working properly in any of the rooms, no fans available, glass in the pool not cleaned after being reported for three days, the pool in general does not get cleaned (green algae ring and floating rubbish). Reception staff are polite but not helpful when asking for help or filing a complaint, cleaning staff are extremely rude we were refused towels twice because they claimed we had clean ones in room already. Location is the only positive as it’s located in the middle of strip, but not worth staying, absolutely vile!

Average hotel, booked a room to share with a friend and was promised 2 single beds, we got given a double bed. Went to ask for another room and they said there was none left despite being a large hotel and pool area was empty daily. Other than that, bar was okay and location was exactly what we needed as it’s on the albufeira strip
