I stayed at an Airbnb that was not remodeled and had limited decor. The staff though here are fabulous. I lost my wallet and they found it and returned it to me.🙏🏼 It has a pool, restaurant, small market. The location is great if you like walking. 15 min walk to beach and 10 min to town center. Not sure what the hotel apartments are like. Alvor is a great place too.❤️

We stayed here as a family of four and had asked for a cot before arriving. The cot was finally put in our room three days later after asking each morning. We paid for the towels and bed sheets to be changed on the third day and still no sign two days later. I went to the reception and were given 4 towels and two single bed sheets.
The rooms are very outdated and basic. The breakfast was ok but very salty.
The best thing about our stay were the pools, that's only because they were very deep.

Stayed here last week, yes when the electricity was out!
Check in was a little long, as they do passport checks and take tax payment. I really appreciate the receptionist waiting for us till 11pm as there were some delays at Faro airport.
Staff were nice, all accommodating, kind and helpful.
A few reviews say the room is dated, yes it is but it matches the price, you get what you need and they’re very clean. Of course if you prefer the modern look then I suggest you book elsewhere.
If you have any issues with walking upstairs, please let them know in advance as there’s no lift and everything is on higher floors.
Didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment on food. I walked through the restaurant several times and it was always clean.
Gentleman in the bar was absolutely amazing.
Pool was clean, no issues and comfortable.
There’s a little shop around the back of the apartments. Great idea for those that need something quickly but it was a little pricey. There’s a supermarket down the road and a few minutes drive to Aldi - if you like watching the pennies.
Location - a few minutes walk to the village. Just under 4€ Uber into the village.
Portimao is around the corner via car and definitely worth visiting.
No issues from other guests, no disturbances and no parties were taking place.
My only issue at the hotel was that the staff were not very helpful when the power cut took place.
They couldn’t advise on where to go for water or food.
We had nothing to eat or drink and they were only accepting cash. For those that rely on your card, keep cash for times like this. Even then, they were only selling sandwiches.
As a manager myself, I would’ve offered candles, allowed guests to put things on the tab or offered little snacks. Maybe helped the guests get to their apartment safely with a torch. When I say all lights were out, it was pitch black and difficult to see. I would’ve used my phone torch but we were trying to save our phone battery.
Would I stay again, yes because there were no major issues and I felt safe but no for location as I prefer places to be on my door step.

The apartments are old but clean.
There is a lot of noise from the main roads and NO roomservice at all.. we arrived with a baby and asked for an extra duvet and some more towels, we got 2 sheets instead and they charged us 10 euros for the towels.. they told me in the reception that they only change towels every 7th day.
You also have to walk a long way uphill to get rid of garbage bags. There’s no garbage bins in the apartment area.
We asked specifically for an apartment in ground level because we have a pram and both my parents have trouble walking on stairs.. still we got an apartment on the 2nd floor.
All in all we’re not coming back..

Very good and clean place to stay with unbelievably friendly staff and quite ok food. Whole 1-bed flat during holidays. Great. Thank you so much. ;)
