We recently returned from a wonderful one-week family holiday at Charmillion Gardens Aqua Park in February, and it truly exceeded our expectations in every way.
From the moment we arrived, the accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and perfect for a family stay. The rooms were spacious, well maintained, and cleaned to a very high standard every day, which made it easy for us to relax and enjoy our holiday.
The food throughout the week was excellent, with a great variety available at every meal. There was always something for everyone, including plenty of fresh options and dishes the whole family enjoyed. The main restaurant was especially welcoming, and the service really stood out.
The swimming pools and aqua park were a highlight of the trip. The pools were clean and well supervised, and the slides provided endless fun for both children and adults. It was clear that a lot of care goes into keeping the facilities safe, organised, and enjoyable for guests of all ages.
A very special thank you goes to Ahmed, the barman in the main restaurant, who looked after our family so well all week. His kindness, professionalism, and friendly attitude made every visit feel personal, and he truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
Overall, this was a fantastic family holiday, and we would happily return again. Highly recommended for families looking for great facilities, excellent service, and a fun, relaxing atmosphere.

An absolutely thrilling experience overall. From the customer service to the food and facilities, all just amazing. I had one or two issues with my room, this was swiftly dealt with by the reception team special thanks to Mr Mateo and Mr Mohamed Atya who were just outstanding throughout my stay, ensuring that everything was just perfect.
The buffet team were equally exceptional, promptly trying to resolve a problem I experienced. Special thanks to Managers Mahmoud Reslan and Mahmoud khalaf who went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy and satisfied. Additionally the food was not always the same and the Chefs always kept us on our toes. Special thanks to Head Chef Mostafa and Chef Mohamed Zaky.
During my stay it was my son's 3rd birthday, the staff across the resort ensured he had fun and a special birthday. Special thanks to Piko and Sarah from the Kids Club and the celebration team who
created a beautiful birthday cake and amazing atmosphere.
The overall customer service provided by all areas was spot on, with special mentions to Mr Hassan Hussein from the buffet and to Mr Tarek and Mr Amr from the LifeGuards team. For those looking for the perfect overall stay with your family this place is the one. I've been to numerous hotels in Sharm and this one just has everything and does it well, all for a reasonable price.

It was a decent resort but we are not coming back…
The food and the aquapark were great. Especially the food. I probably gained a few lbs just from that week that we stayed there. In general I’d say that I’m a big fan of the Egyptian cuisine. Their food was also clean. Meaning that no one in our group got a food poisoning. (Which could be a problem in Egypt.)
The property itself is also quite large, so there’s lots of fun activities to choose from. They have anything from small shopping kiosks where you can buy souvenirs or other tchotchkes, to a pharmacy if you need one, to ping pong tables and beach volleyball courts. There’s also a proximity to the Red Sea, although the sea itself was quite shallow and rocky. But it could be ok for kid snorkeling. They also have a plenty of chaise lounges to stay on.
Having said that, there were some major downsides:
- our room had a plumbing problem. The sink wasn’t draining well and no one seemed to care to fix it for the week that we stayed there.
- our bathroom had very slippery tiles on the floor. Especially the shower. I’m surprised that people don’t break limbs there.
- the WiFi was unusable. So make sure to buy a SIM card at the airport. This is what saved us. Those SIM cards are quite inexpensive.
- they allow outside sellers on to the property that constantly pester guests with selling their tours, saunas, etc. And they don’t take no for an answer. This ruins your time there. For instance we were having good time in our group, talking among ourselves until one of those beach boys joined himself in and started pushing his scuba diving tours. We repeatedly told him that we are not interested for which he started to push more, while trying to joke, which ruined our conversation. And then if you get rid of one of these guys, another one will come in and invite himself in on your conversation later.
- I had one of these sellers follow me around. At first I told him that if he has a business card I can call him if we decide to take his boat tour. He took it like if I promised to call him and would approach me multiple times when he saw me near the pool. Eventually he became quite irate with me for not buying his boat/scuba diving tour that he started insulting me in front of my friends. So overall the fact that they allow these beach boys on to the property to pester guests is quite annoying. This may be ok in Egypt but it would be a big no no in the West when street sellers tend to respect people’s privacy.
- the table service at the buffet was quite slow. We often had to move our dirty plates ourselves. Which was not that big of a deal, but is not something you would expect from a 5-star resort.
- lastly this was just a weird feeling that we all felt from not seeing any women workers at that property. This is evidently a part of the Muslim culture. For us it was just strange. My wife joked that if they had women working there, maybe the table service would be better.

This hotel was very good. The food was lovely with a different variety every day. They had a live pasta and pizza station every day. The staff went out of their way and put in a lot of effort. For example, they left a birthday cake in the room on my birthday, and the bed was decorated in the shape of a cake with towels and balloons. The aqua park is amazing. My only complaint is that the bathroom could use some renovation, and the duvet covers were old with bubbles on them, which made them uncomfortable (I told the cleaner to change them, but it wasn't done). Other than that, it’s a very good hotel—9/10. It's ideal for families with children.

We had the best time at Charmillion Gardens Aqua Park and couldn’t have asked for a better holiday experience.
A special thank you to Duty Manager Mansour, who went above and beyond to assist us when our son became ill during our stay. His support, care, and professionalism meant so much to us and made a stressful situation much easier to handle.
We would also like to thank the cleaning team, food team, and bar team—everyone was consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The service was excellent throughout our entire stay. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, and the food was excellent quality with plenty of choice.
The aqua park was fantastic for the kids and kept them entertained every day. It’s a great resort for families.
The only thing we would personally change is the loud music around the swimming pools, which played most of the time. We would have preferred the music to be less loud, especially when relaxing.
Overall, we had an amazing holiday and truly the best time at Charmillion Gardens Aqua Park. We would happily recommend it and would love to return.
