I have just spent a week here doing all inclusive, and after going in worried after reading reviews I have one of my own.
1. The reviews definitely make the hotel worse than it is. The hotel is run down in areas, yes, but there is people constantly cleaning it so it is clearly just an older building.
2. The food isnt that bad. There is not a lot of choice, no, but what there is is lovely. They have some of the best sausages I have tried and their churros were lovely.
3. The hotel staff were lovely. Yes they werent always the happiest, I would say those working in the restaurangs could learn to be kinder, however the bar staff were especially kind !! Just be weary of the photographer. He seems nice to begin with but will take your pictures but when u dont want to buy one he will patronise you and pretend he no longer understands english.
4. The rudest people I met personally were other guests of the hotel - they will just push infront of you, not say thank you, no general friendly atmosphere which is a shame.
5. The room cleaning ladies never stole anything of mine. Infact, they left my jellycats tucked into bed everyday!!
Please don’t let the bad reviews stop you from having fun.

After strolling to PDC we were very glad to be in Matagorda which is much more laid back and quieter but still with an excellent selection of bars and restaurants.
The Beatriz was great value in our opinion.
It's dated in parts and only 10 minutes from the airport but plane noise was no issue.
Our room , a superior twin, was spacious with a great view of the mountains and over to Fuerty. The restaurant was nicely situated, particularly the outside tables , and never seemed too busy. Breakfast was decent with freshly fried eggs and pancakes and lots of fresh fruit. Dinner was enjoyable , had sufficient variation for us and a freshly grilled meat and fish each evening.
The pool areas were busy albeit with beds always available but we went on the beach 50 yards away where the sea was gorgeous.
The gym was well equipped and there were daily fitness classes in the sun.
We would definitely return.

Food was really bad and flavourless.
So many rules about the all-inclusive package.
Drink only here from this time to this time, this is closed at this time. This only opens on a Thursday etc etc.
I'm it really fussy with food and we still had a good time but the endless rules and bad food and drink where very annoying and we ended up going elsewhere.
Rooms: ok, clean but taps didn't work sometimes at all, hot or cold.
Food: aweful, nothing tasted good at all and I had to live off egg Sandwiches and chips 😄. And I usually eat everything as I'm not fussy.
Drink: everything tastes of off brand versions of the usually drinks and has a chemically taste.
The only provide VERY small glasses so if you want a pint you'll actually get a small glass, this means you have to order 2 drinks per person and you get eye rolled by the staff sometimes. Also the line to get drinks was always long.
Location: great location, right next to the beach.
Staff: reception staff ok but bar and waiters where a bit cold and sometimes rude.
General:
If you arnt fussy and you get the hotel on a deal it's ok. I enjoyed my time but that's because I'm quite relaxed and the hotel was booked cheaply on a deal. If I'd paid full price I'd be annoyed.

Hotel very dated, rooms smell musty, damp and mouldy with lots of ants. Poor facilities in the room, just a small fridge with no shelves which also hardly worked. Air con was rubbish, made little to no difference to the temperature in the room throughout our whole stay. Food was pretty poor at best, no drink included in the evening meal on half board stay unless u pay extra for it. Entertainment was really quite bad, entertainment room had bad smell to it and was always absolutely red hot. In house Animacion team was two guys, both tried extremely hard to be enthusiastic but looked absolutely exhausted. Pool looked fantastic and catered for all ages, however the water was absolutely freezing cold most of the time, was unable to stay in it for more than a few minutes at a time it was that cold. No inflatables of any kind aloud in the pool, dirty sun loungers, dirty floors and walkways around the pool, only 1 life guard on duty at any one time, he stood in basically the same spot the whole day and could also be found playing darts in the Animacion box, with one of the Animacion team members. Told we could have late check out until we went and asked for it on the final day and then was told we couldn't have it. Very expensive for any kind of upgrade, very expensive for drinks, very expensive for snacks from the vending machines. I would not say this hotel deserves its 4 star rating. Over all, really bad experience, very dissapointed as this was my first ever time in Lanzerote. Can safely say I will not be going back here again.

Budget hotel. In need of some refurbishment. Some African size cockroaches around, but hey, expected this part of the world with open plain areas inside a hotel. Rooms could use some paint and deep clean. Service staff is friendly and helpfull. Some training might help to be more on the spot, such as frequenzy changing bed sheets etc. Close to the airport, hence no surprise there is some noise of planes. Not too terrible. Food variations are ok. Two or 3 Fisch variations at lunch and dinner. Differerent meat selections. Improvment needs on vegetarian behavior.
A bit mess around the buffet at times due to other guests attitute. Some people are just animals at it. We used it as a base to explore the Island.
