I stayed at the AluaSun Resort for a week. Overall, it was a good experience for the price, but there’s definitely room for improvement.
The front desk is always busy, and guests often have to queue for quite a while because there isn’t enough staff. On the other hand, the restaurant staff work incredibly hard and deserve recognition for their effort. My room was also always clean, which I appreciated.
A big shoutout to Antonio, who went above and beyond to help me with directions and did his best to contact the trip agency after Karin, the manager, gave me the wrong time information. His professionalism really stood out.
One serious concern: the lifeguards should sit in a more visible spot. One day, a child was drowning, and I had to jump into the water because the lifeguards, sitting in a hidden corner, didn’t notice. I hope the parents reported this incident to reception.
There’s also supposed to be a free shuttle bus, but it didn’t show up on several occasions. Even after two days, the manager still couldn’t explain what happened — her customer service could really use improvement.
All in all, the resort offers decent value for money, but with better staffing, clearer communication, and stronger safety awareness, it could be much better.

Currently staying here. Great hotel. Rooms are very spaceous, slightly outdated but nothing wrong with them. Staff are excellent 👌. Night entrainment is very good. Kids disco is short but very good and the next entertainment doesn't start for 20 to 30mins later. We went half board. Food so far has been very good with different themes every night and plenty options at breakfast. Pool is slightly cold and the kids waterslides aren't really usable because they are not in a pool so hitting hard concrete but kids still enjoyed the pool and the small pool. Location is poor, about 20min walk to the end of termolinos prominade. They do have shuttle bus but we didn't use it yet. Room we had was noisey, facing the entertainment stage and beside a busy road so alot of excess noise, if you put kids to bed early and like to keep the door open etc, you can't. For value for money and overall the hotel is great and worth the stay. I would probable ask for a room facing the front of the hotel to avoid the noise.

So the location isn't the most desirable in Torremolinos, BUT... The free shuttle service the hotel lays on softens the blow (a full size air conditioned coach, loads of room), along with the local bus stops for the 110 bus just down the hill from the hotel, and the La Colina train station a short walk away are very useful when used with the green Consortium pre-paid transport card (available at Tabaccos shops).
The hotel itself is dated in parts but is kept very clean, room service do a great job on the place, I had a smaller room with double bed for single occupancy, all inclusive. Room was equipped with a small fridge, and I rented a kettle from reception (€10 refundable deposit) so I was able to make a cuppa in the room. Air conditioning worked OK, kept things comfortable, could possibly be a degree or two less in my opinion.
Corridor noise, corridors are not carpeted, so can be a little "echoey", but the room doors don't have door closers on them, so I people (and myself) generally close their doors quietly, so I didn't really find that an issue and got some good sleep.
Food and drinks, measures of spirits were fantastic, so keep that up guys! Beer's and sodas are on tap for you to dispense at your pleasure (All inclusive only).
Food was actually really good, everything was of a decent hot temperature and there was always something on the deck that I could put a meal together with, loved the beef and pork stews, the meat melted in your mouth. Great soups too. Pizza and chips seem to be on every lunch & dinner service along with chicken nuggets for the younger guests.
Omelettes cooked fresh to order at the show cooking station were amazing, although they seem to have chips out for breakfast too where as I would have liked to see hash browns, oh well - a couple of days they had some nice pork sausages on the deck, rest of the time it was tinned rubber hot dog pieces.
Loads of fresh fruit, yogurts, cereal & milk and amazing pastries, just plenty of choice all round I thought.
The Snack bar behind the bar poolside is handy to have, they have a late breakfast option with limited items between 11am and noon, outside of this, hot food offerings can be a bit hit and miss depending on how long they've been sat there for, but there's cold meats and cheese slices, bread, a toaster, yogurts, ice creams, a pancake making machine with amazing chocolate sauce, enough to put something together with if you have to.
Entertainment's a little corny but a few large measures of spirits later and it'll help. Evening shows don't start until 21:45 and are generally done by 23:00 I think, so maybe ask for a quiet area, room which faces away from the pool and entertainment area if you prefer early nights.
All together it was a decent stay, with what I thought was very acceptable food, and I'd definitely consider staying again if a deal came up!

This was our second ever family holiday and what can I say other than it most definitely should be a 5 star hotel not a 4. The staff are incredible Valentina was the most kindest towards my son and may is always feel welcome ans happy she went above and beyond everyday we saw her. Than there was David at the bar and a other guy who unfortunately we didn’t get his name he was Russian however both were amazing always smiling and very helpful. The pools were always clean and the area tidy the hotel was spotless everywhere. We had the junior room which was huge and extremely clean. The food was always amazing too there was different cultures daily which is fantastic and for the picky children there was always chips and chicken nuggets. The front desk staff are always helpful and polite. Great location to so many different things the beach itself was beautiful. We loved it so much we are returning next year for a longer stay.

Rooms was clean and tidy could not say a bad word about them. The maids were amazing came in every day and changed bed and changed towels/toilet paper.
The staff was so helpful any problems or any questions they would solve it straight away.
The food was okay just your normal expected food for the money you paid for the holiday. A new theme was every night in the restaurant so they changed the food every night I had a really good holiday would recommend it and come back again xx
