Day/Night 1. 29/08/23
I have to say... After everything all the hassle..
1.Our OG flight was cancelled on the sunday until the Tuesday due to the whole of Europe having issues with traffic control aparently.
2.Our holiday provider Love Holidays would not extend our stay or help with
our flights, even though we were insured.
3.Our flight was then delayed for 3 hours on the rescheduled date. Tuesday.
4.Finally on arrive, the nationals were very welcoming as always, and Marga the receptionist was extremely helpful.
She told us she had sorted our accommodation free of charge for the days we lost and extended our holiday which as mentioned above, our holiday provider refused to do even though we have insurance.
5.I am pleased to say the room is very clean, and a great size, balcony is very large.
I am very happy with the size of the room and the way the hotel accommodated us for extra days without us asking. THANK YOU MARGA!!!
6.There is constant air conditioning and free WiFi so far.
7.Our room is very clean and a good size.
We need to check out the shower and see how that is and of course the food and pool.
8.However so far so good with the hotel.
9.We will try to get reimbursement from Love Holiday for the new flights that we had to purchase for the way home, but I'm not hopeful as they did nothing even thought we are insured.
10.I will strongly advise not to book with Love Holidays as they will not even follow the rules from there own website.
11. Working TV... We don't spend much time in hotel usually and my husband brings movie box with HD I cable.
12. 5 minute walk to beach and shop.
Will keep posted 😎😊👍
Day 3! 31/08/23
I'm very glad we didn't listen to the bad reviews, I don't see what people are complaining about.
For the price we paid this is exactly what I expected.
13. Check out the local supermarket which is litterally a 3 minute walk. We got some essentials, bleach for the bathroom toilet, shower gel etc. I have added a photo of directions.
14. Food so far is absolutely fine. So far there has been: breakfast is scrambled eggs, bacon, beans, selection of Hams and salami, selection of cheese, baguettes, bread, butter, jams, cereals, juce machine, coffee machine, teas.
15. Lunch and dinner so far: loads of options, loads of veggies, loads of salad, mash potato, very soft pork in a sort of gravy, fish in sauce was lovely, Mackeral, lasagne, pasta with choice of sauces, spaghetti, chicken in breadcrumbs, always a soup, roast chicken leg was good! Puddings, cake, fruit.
16. The alcoholic drinks are limited to 3 at lunch and dinner and soft drinks, tea & coffee are unlimited all day, I think the 3 drink rule is completely fair to the hotel as we know there are certain groups of people who like to get extremely drunk and take drugs on this island.
17. The pool is a good size and I've seen it being cleaned and maintained each morning, it is open from 11 to 7 which again I think is safe as I've seen seen parents leaving their kids by themselves in the pool.
18. All the staff are helpful and polite.
19. Oh yes! Yesterday we attended the entertainment which was good! Bingo and dancing! And we played some snooker. There is also a ping pong table.
20. The rooms may be a little outdated but that's not what we are for, so they are well sized and clean.
21. Housekeeping got round to us early on the first day and at around 2pm on the second day, however I prefer to do it myself so just asked for clean towels and stuff when needed.
22. It is day 4. The first down point so far. I was woken up at 4.30am by groups of drunken Germans returning to the hotel. You could hear them from the beach shouting all the way up to the hotel. The groups kept on arriving for about 2 hours and once inside the hotel there was smashing glasses and slamming doors and shouting. I don't think it was malicious just inconsiderate. So far that has been the only down point.
After being home a week sick with dysentery and had time to think. I have changed my review. There was no air conditioning after the first day. There was a sewage smell by the

It is a disaster. The beds are extremely hard, every morning we woke up with extreme back pain and spent the night waking up frequently.
The air conditioning did not even work.
The food was horrible, we had stomach aches, nausea and diarrhea.
We would definitely not recommend it and would not come here again.

Booked a week's all inclusive holiday to celebrate our 31st Anniversary
On arrival at 9pm, informed no food, given room key - had been promised a high level room with view of sea, at worst pool by booking agent.
Went to room, 2nd floor, superb view across road to homes on other side. One bed had the legs on one side bent inwards, facilities of room were 2 single beds, a desk, 3 chairs, wardrobe, internal bathroom (bath with shower over, sink, toilet & bidet) with no ventilation. Advertised air con was none functioning - a major factor in choosing where to stay.
Went to reception to complain, "Sorry, computer system isn't working, aircon doesn't work, come back in morning, here's a desk fan"
Went back to room, without thinking sat on bed which promptly collapsed. Wife took off mattress to sleep on floor.
I contacted Jet2Holidays via Facebook messaging to advise them we were not exactly happy with the service, then went down (twin 4 person/300kg lifts serve 9th floor to reception/restaurant level - stairs to bar, gym & pool access), wife showed reception photo of the bed "Oh I've been trying to contact you as you can have another room" - strange as the room phone or our mobiles hadn't rung.
Back to 2nd floor room, repacked and moved to room 714.
Again no aircon, but room much better, view of Palma Bay, over roofs of the adjoining private flat blocks that overlook the pool. Wife much happier though still hungry, now it's 10:45 at night, still not unpacked.
Meals: Buffet, generally the same offerings each day but plenty of variety of the heated canned/frozen food on offer. Usually a special of the day (not advertised as such) that seems to be prepared in the hotel kitchen. Good selection of cold meats. Coffee machines spent a lot of time unavailable (I'd bet powder feeds jammed in the ingredient hoppers- a quick fix doesn't last)
Inclusive drinks: limited to 3 San Miguel/Sangria/white, rosé or red wine drinks per person, at lunch and dinner, to be consumed in the restaurant only. The measure of each drink depends on whose serving and varied from about 250ml to 375ml.
You have to pay for drinks in main bar, 500ml San Miguel was €3.90.
Tea/Coffee/cola/Sprite/juices free 24/7
On 3rd day, wife noticed that floor of balcony flexed when I went outside onto it. Message to Jet2Holidays (Oli), within an hour hotel maintenance at door. At best a temporary fix - confirmed as it lasted 36hrs. Cement used flaked out, tiles moving again.
Gym has a running machine, couple of multigyms, cycling machine and couple of weight benchs (didn't see much in way of bar weights). Pools are unheated (as is usual) & had a very steep slope from 1.2m to 3m depths (marked by a wide red line across the pool sides & floor) - poor swimmers need to be watched over. Separate small children's pool next to main pool at shallow end.
No action taken by staff against people claiming sun loungers in the "sunning" area by placing towels etc on them in early morning when area is in the shadow of the hotel and adjoining buildings, one couple claimed loungers then returned after 1:30 in afternoon for a couple of hours at most.
This area got direct sun for 4 hours at most (October)
Out and about: a short downhill walk to the beach, ideal for sunbathing, an optional €18 gets you 2 sun loungers, a firmly embedded palm leaf parasol and beach (combination lock) safe for the day - Well worth it. Lunch time, together with others back to hotel for lunch and drink then back to beach.
The large, local street market is held right outside on Thursday, plus 2 supermarkets close by.
Check in from 14:00, checkout by 12:00 noon. Store by reception to put luggage if your transport arrives later in day (only couldn't get "inclusive" drinks as no room to assign them to).
Bed and breakfast or half board best options here, don't waste money on all inclusive, it's lower to mid 3 star at best.
Most of staff were amazing in trying to help, with the exception of the chap on reception.

The air conditioning wasn't working, and they couldn't fix it within a week. Despite reading previous reviews mentioning that this issue has been ongoing for over a month, the staff DOES NOT COMMUNICATE THIS IN ADVANCE. The beds in the rooms are not double beds but two beds pushed together that easily slide apart. From a comfort perspective, it felt like we were sleeping on separate futon beds. Breakfast and dinner are buffet-style, but it's almost always the same and not varied. The glasses were often not properly cleaned. Connecting to the Wi-Fi network was a real ordeal. The captive portal is often slow or freezes. The Wi-Fi network probably has data limits. It's really not worth wasting time on it. Thanks to the AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Accounting) the staff probably able to track your network/internet activity for each and every guest’s device… The elevator is extremely slow, and it's hard to get any air in it. It's very claustrophobic and often malfunctions.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. THIS PLACE IS NO GOOD. Actually staying there all inclusive Deal and the location itself is scary dirty. I waited 4 hours for my room to be cleaned and available. The room then was not cleaned well. I made pictures to prove. Hair in the Tub. The glasses in the bathroom dirty. The airconditioner is not working well. The closet door is stuck and mostly hinging off the hinges. 2nd day: Same food as yesterday and mostly cold. If you like a bunch of greasy food I suggest you go there. Not 1 Channel in german or englisch on the TV and no WiFi in the room. And the promised ocean front sight was a small space between a bunch of very old buildings and trees. The table service cleanes with the same rag all tables and no fresh water to rinse in her wagon. NEVER AGAIN.THIS WAS MY WORST EXPERIENCE SO FAR.
Day 3 of this Horror Hotel and no I am not making anything up!!!! This morning I find dirty plates and silverware. I am done. I refuse to eat here now. Oh by the way the AC iscnot working well. Desk clerk said: Oh I know it's a Problem and handed me a fan. !!!
