The hotel looks a little tired, some areas need some maintenance and attention. That said the staff were all very helpful, especially when my little girl was taken poorly.
Overall our holiday was good value for what we paid. The kids loved the pools and attached waterpark.

I stayed here for 1 week all inclusive with my 2.5 year old daughter and my friend. I’ll start with the posatives, the hotel rooms are outside rather than inside the actual hotel. It kind of feels like you’re staying in an apartment on a street- I really liked that rather than getting into an elevator to leave the building. The food I was really shocked by, I did think it would be bog standard with little choice. Nope, variety of choice, a mixture of different foods every day. We was told there is ‘snacks’ in between meals. me thinking this would be a piece of fruit or something.. no, they had a selection of burgers, hot dogs, salads, fries. I honestly can’t say they are stingy with the food because they are not. The children’s entertainment is ok, can’t complain at that. Right so the negatives, 30 minute walk from the nearest beach and town. There is 3 female staff that are so rude and miserable. One that works at reception and 2 that works behind the bar. When we arrived to our room, the first thing I did was use the loo, I noticed there wasn’t any hand soap ??? I went straight to reception to question this as never known a hotel to not provide hand soap? I was told they don’t provide it but offered a bar of soap ?? Like, a bar of soap is sufficient enough to clean your hands of bacteria after visiting the loo!? . I then had to visit the nearest supermarket to buy a bottle of hand soap. The number one negative for me is the cleanliness of the hotel room. Such a pity as it’s such a beautiful building and lay out, but the smell of the room was a mixture of musty damp and eggs? The taps in the bathroom had white dried water marks, floors were filthy, a rip in the patio curtain , furniture scuffed and chipped. It just really wasn’t maintained at all. The cleaners came in every day apart from Wednesdays and Saturdays. I had no idea what on earth the cleaners were doing as the only thing they did was empty the 2 bins. I witnessed this myself on one of the days myself and my daughter was having an afternoon nap on the sofa bed, the cleaner came in, emptied both bins then left. I didn’t expect a deep clean everyday but I do expect surfaces to have a quick wipe. None of that was done by the cleaners the whole week we was there. I was using my daughters wet wipes to wipe surfaces as I can’t live in a unkept environment. Surely I shouldn’t have had to after paying near £700 ?. The alcohol . Where do I start. I expected it to be the cheaper versions but you can drink 10 drinks and can’t even get merry. I would visit the area again but definitely not stay in this hotel

Amazing spot for Easter Holidays specially if you have kids. First time we’ve done all inclusive and it was awesome. Our flight at night was delayed reached hotel after midnight and receptionist was so helpful and hotel had snacks and drinks available due to delay. Everyone from staff were very friendly and helpful. Entertainments were very good and breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, drinks cocktails by the pool all was extremely well done. Grandparents joined us for few days also and enjoyed the time. Definitely recommend and we will definitely be going back to the this hotel again.

I wouldn't even give this hotel one star. Where do I start- if your reading this please don't waste your money. We stayed here for 7 nights with our 2 daughters and not once did we use the pool. It was over crowded , filthy and people smoking and drinking from early hours of the morning until 11pm at night not once did I see the pool been cleaned or beds. There was towels left all night for people to reserve beds. There was little or no cleaning done around the hotel paper cups food rubbish every where. The "All inclusive" is a joke - it's only between certain times. When we checked in we went to our room it clearly wasn't cleaned properly - there was coffee / tea stains on the tables . The mirrors and doors had greasy handprints on them- pillow cases had stains. When we asked the reception they told us it would be cleaned we left for a couple of hours but wasn't cleaned I resorted to buying cleaning products myself and doing it myself. The food was ok but the cutlery and plates still filthy - the water park is honestly a disgrace the place is manky and the slides look as if they will fall apart I honestly wouldn't stay here again if I got free holiday - and another thing it's about a 30 minute walk to the town which is not ideal with little kids in the heat so taxis every day. Do yourself a favour and get another hotel.

Firstly, some of the complaints here (on the site) are COMPLETELY not the responsibility of the hotel. To focus on guest behavior is unproductive. The staff and the management cannot reject people and if we are honest they are not going to throw people out of the hotel for reserving pool loungers at 6am.
So positive side of the fence first:
Playa Blanca is a great place. We took the walk down to the harbour on the weekend and enjoyed the local market and the beaches (massive crabs just wandering about) - it’s a fabulous location. We also took 2 tours and booking them through the hotel was very easy. We did the Catamaran from The north of the island to the south of the island. The trip and the activities were great! We did analyse our own choices to sit on a coach for 90 min to drive north and sail back to 1KM from out hotel then sail back and sit on coach again. We were foolish and should have not done this. The second trip we did was the ½ day volcano tour which was EXCELLENT.
Staff at the hotel are attentive. I would not be surprised if they go home cursing the British for the torment they are put through at the end of the day. I sat in reception for 20 mins and the sheer volume of nonsense they had to deal with was exceptional – one moan about the size of the paper cups/ glasses for beer springs to mind- just pathetic.
When we arrived and got out room my wife couldn’t find the hair dryer. I was sent to complain. I then identified that the hair dryer was on the wall and that my wife is blind. The maintenance staff then turned up to give us a new hairdryer. I was then sent to advise my wife is the issue and not the hair dryer. They tested it but then left.
The air con packed in and started leaking on the last night of our stay. It was fixed within the hour.
