Just checked out today. Fabulous hotel. Stayed for 2 weeks on honeymoon. Location of our room in hotel was perfect. We were over looking a little pond with turtles which was unreal. Room was very comfortable. Cleaners were fab. Breakfast was great. Loved the pool area, drinks were a tad expensive but to be expected for convenience. Staff were very friendly. Location is unreal, close to marina and old town. Staff recommended tours we could book. Rented a car for few days and car park was very easy to find spaces etc. We had an absolutely amazing holiday and I think we will be back next year. The hotel was great and Lagos itself us unbelievable. Can't thank you all enough for one of the best holidays we have ever had. Thanks to all.

Misleading, Overpriced, and Poor Value
I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to others. This hotel is seriously overpriced for what it offers, and I’m genuinely surprised by all the glowing reviews. The photos used to advertise it, especially on Expedia, are misleading at best. The beach club shown prominently is actually a 10-minute drive away and not part of the hotel itself. Access to it also costs extra, which wasn’t made clear during booking.
The condition of the hotel was beyond underwhelming. The hallway outside our room stank, had a mouldy, stained carpet, and flies (see pictures). The whole place needs a proper deep clean, specifically the pool area/ outside. It’s in desperate need of some updates, especially if they’re going to continue being as stingey as they were.
They charged extra for absolutely everything — including in-room coffee (€1.50 per pod) and even just to open a bottle of wine previously purchased to drink in our own room (€5). Water in the lobby was limited to a tiny glass, and when I asked if I could fill my water bottle (during a 38 degree day), a staff member said “no - that’s how wesell more water, obviously.” That really summed up the overall attitude, cutting corners while charging premium prices.
The only upsides of this hotel was a decent breakfast spread (you get charged if you bring any food out of the breakfast room lol) and the location is convenient. But the hotel doesn’t live up to its own advertising or basic hospitality standards. They need to reinvest all the money they’re charging into cleaning, maintenance, and more honesty in their marketing. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

EXCELLENT customer service. I have been solo traveling and I tend to get nervous showing up to new hotels/resorts and the staff have been super friendly and helpful. Love the breakfast in the morning and the hotel is super clean!! It is also in a great area! Lots to do around the location:) Thank you so much. Much love from Canada!

The hotel is in a prime location in Lagos, making it super convenient to explore the city and nearby beaches. It offers several great amenities like temperature-controlled pools, shuttle service to the beach, and beach towels — all of which added comfort to our stay.
That said, our check-in experience could’ve been better. We arrived early and were told early check-in wasn’t available, so we had to wait almost 3 hours. Despite arriving before most guests, we were allocated a twin bed room even though we had requested a queen bed in advance. The explanation was that rooms were assigned based on availability — which felt a bit off given we were among the first to arrive.
The rooms themselves are clean and well-maintained, but a bit dated. This might be intentional to maintain a certain aesthetic, but don’t expect modern features like smart TVs. So if you’re hoping to wind down with some Netflix and wine at night from your own device, you might be disappointed.
Another thing to note is that nearly everything comes at an extra charge — be it taking breakfast out of the dining area or using coffee pods in the room, which are usually complimentary in many hotels. So it’s a good idea to get clarity on what’s included before using any service.
All in all, the hotel remains a great option for its location and 24-hour front desk support. Just go in knowing the trade-offs — comfort and location over modern luxuries.

If you were looking for a four or five star experience, I would not come here. The food was good at dinner and breakfast. The hotel does not seem updated. It seems old and in some places even abandoned. Although the treadmill was good in the gym the equipment is old in the place had no one there to staff it. It would be wonderful if Marriott Hyatt took over this place and turned it into a better property. Very sad. My view was of a cemetery and old rusty buildings and pipes
