Avoid at All Costs – Ruined Our Holiday.
We had to cut our trip short by four days and book emergency flights home due to bed bugs and an allergic reaction to the bites. This hotel is filthy, rundown, and absolutely not what it advertises.
Everything from the rooms to the pool was in a shocking state. Cracked tiles around the pool had moss growing from them, and the room was filled with broken furniture and grimy surfaces. The buffet was a complete joke — the food was barely edible and extremely limited, with hygiene that left much to be desired.
Evening entertainment was like something you'd expect from a knockoff butlins kids show— cheap, disorganized, and embarrassing. It felt more like a bad stag do than a family holiday, with rowdy groups partying and openly doing drugs in the hallways until 3am every night.
The only saving grace of the place was the reception staff — genuinely kind, helpful, and clearly trying their best despite the situation. They were apologetic and understanding when we voiced our concerns, but there’s only so much they can do when the entire hotel is in such poor condition.
This is not a family-friendly resort and I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere. We’ve never had to leave a holiday early before, and I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.

I'm a travel agent and travel a lot with my job.
Other reviews are correct it's more of a basic 3*, rather than a 4*. I believe the rating is from the old rating, where the ratings were based on what they offer a customer, which have now changed since TripAdvisor.
Back in the day, you can see that this was a really good hotel. But very little has been done to it since, with its up keep and moderation.
✈️If you like your holidays based on staying at your hotel on an all inclusive. I don't think this is the hotel for you. The facilities are nothing compared to modern day 4* all inclusive hotels,
✈️If you are someone who just uses the hotel as a base. This is great, as the kitchen is basic but enough for what you need and a large supermarket and fast food options just a short walk away. Beach and old town Albufeira is about a 10minute walk down hill.
TIP) For about six Euros all day use, there is the tourist train. Pick up a short walk away and it's good for getting around. Takes you to the beach area and another 4 points. Great if you are trying to save time if on a short trip.

Terrible experience. Absolutely not recommended. The management is downright disgraceful.
The outdoor pool, which at first glance appears to be the crown jewel of the property, turned out to be a mess of disorder and neglect. The pool floor is dirty, and while there’s a beautiful bridge that gracefully separates the shallow from the deep end — both aesthetically pleasing and functionally useful — the “No Diving” sign is completely pointless. No one respects it. Everyone dives in, blatantly ignoring the rule. And the pool security? Present, but totally useless. I personally witnessed a highly dangerous moment when a woman swimming near the bridge was almost hit by an inconsiderate person who dove clumsily into the water — right under the eyes of the security staff, who did absolutely nothing.
The surrounding sunbathing area, which could have been a peaceful retreat, was instead littered with trash. Bottles, wrappers, cigarette butts — all over the floor, as if this were completely normal.
The indoor pool was just as disappointing: the water was murky and uninviting, exuding an overall feeling of poor hygiene. The jacuzzi? Foul-smelling. Not relaxing at all — it made us want to leave immediately.
Rules do exist here — but apparently not for everyone. When I asked in advance if I could bring my dog, I was firmly told that pets were not allowed. And yet, upon arrival, we saw a ground floor apartment with three dogs on the terrace. Clearly, rules are applied selectively.
We spent two sleepless nights in this establishment, disturbed by loud noise, shouting, and music blasting from balconies late into the night. Even worse, groups of young guests were smoking hash and marijuana inside their rooms and on their balconies, with the stench spreading all over the building. I’ll remind you: smoking is not allowed in the rooms. And yet, no one cared. The reception staff, the security guards, every single employee — all fully aware, all completely indifferent. As if this were the norm. As if this kind of chaos was part of the package.
This place urgently needs to be investigated by the proper health and safety authorities.
Avoid it at all costs. It’s a disgrace that this place is still open for business.

Nice and clean hotel but old fashioned. Needs updating, Otherwise lovely. Food in hotel bar was not nice, would avoid. Breakfast however in Oh La Late at the front of the hotel was beautiful in presentation and taste.

We are here now and have 4 nights in total at this hotel. Honestly it’s not as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be, you get what you pay for it’s a cheap getaway. It definitely isn’t a 4 star 3 star at most. Rooms are dated and worn but still very good to stay in. Location is great everything is within walking distance from the hotel. Staff were lovely when checking us in. Would I stay again for another cheap getaway? Yes.
